From this night onwards, self-appearance increases like the light of a firefly, Seeing the meaning of slight clarity, When the appearance is obtained, It is difficult to ascertain like the tip of a butter lamp. Then, when wisdom is stable, Like the rising sun at dawn, Self-awareness, Dharmakaya, is clearly revealed. Mind of self-arisen awareness without object, The self-arisen certainty of the ground, In the past, it does not change by the power of habit. For example, like a magnet attracting iron, Because self-awareness Dharmakaya is recognized, Possessing six manifest consciousnesses and six recollections, Possessing five qualities of the bardo, Ignorance is dispelled and wisdom increases, Gathering all the qualities of the Buddhas. Furthermore, Vajrasattva, listen! Self-arisen, self-aware wisdom is, Clear and distinct, wisdom is clear. Therefore, the self-arisen wisdom body, Children do not take a body in the bardo. They do not enter into objects, they have no attachment or aversion. Therefore, there is no entering into the womb. That is called a Buddha. From the Tantra of the Great Perfection, the Wheel of Bliss of Self-Arisen Meaning, The chapter on showing the time of Buddhahood, the fifty-seventh. The Teacher also spoke to the assembly, The activity of the Dharmakaya of the Buddhas is also, The Dharmakaya with a body of wisdom is, Pure, self-arisen wisdom mind. Because of knowing all, awareness is clear. It is said to be the mind of all the Buddhas. Seeing all with the self-arisen eye, The one wisdom eye is without defilement. Because of seeing without conceptualizing, because of equality, It is called the eye of the Dharmakaya. Furthermore, Vajrasattva, listen! Immovable equality, self-arisen ear, Hearing sound without substance, without following. At that time, the self-arisen body of reality, From that, the unchanging wisdom ear. Clear sound, unchanging scent of experience, Non-conceptual feeling, body of enlightenment. The supreme scent permeates the wisdom nose. Without attachment to that, it is the nose of the Buddha. Now listen again to the essence of the gathering. The supreme taste of the Dharmakaya is truly shown. The tongue of the Buddha, blissful and clear without speech, The wisdom tongue tastes self-awareness. That meaning is the realization of the self-arisen body. Furthermore, Vajrasattva, listen! Wisdom body, clear awareness without substance, The wisdom body has no birth or death. That meaning is unchanging, qualities are complete. Therefore, the Dharmakaya of the Buddhas, Possessing that, in that instant, Like the four great oceans of planets and stars, At one time, in hundreds of millions of Jambudvipa worlds, The Rupakaya for the benefit of beings pervades at one time. The Dharma according to what is appropriate

Show. It is like the center of the sky. The sign is that the Buddha knows all dharmas. Its merits cannot be exhausted. From the Tantra of the Great Perfection, Meaning Gathered, Self-Arisen Wheel of Bliss, Chapter Fifty-Eight, Showing the Deeds of the Buddha. Then, the All-Knowing King. The assembled retinue asked again: How does one wander in samsara without realization? What is the fault of not having oral instructions? Where does its door of downfall fall? Please, All-Good Teacher, explain. After hearing the meaning of such a question, He spoke to the assembled retinue: The tantras, scriptures, oral instructions, all the dharmas, When the mind makes them into four appearances, Because of clinging to addition and subtraction, Doing so is meaningless and increases suffering. That is also the essence of the assembly, listen. Like a bird feather carried by the wind, By placing the mind on a basis without certainty, No matter how much one strives to practice without realization, The five poisons will grow without realization. Like a blind person wandering in a wilderness, No matter how much one meditates without realizing the true meaning, The eye of wisdom is without the accumulation of habits. The work of delusion without cutting off the wrong path. That is also Vajrasattva, listen. Like an eagle with broken wings, When not knowing the view and conduct as one, It is wrong because of alternating acceptance and rejection. The practices and actions of non-realization are all confused. Like a field without sowing seeds, Even if one practices Dharma without realizing the true meaning, There is no fruit and one destroys oneself, Falling into the endless ocean of samsara. Therefore, the Dharma without oral instructions, Even if body and speech are used as actions, It cannot benefit except as a cause of suffering. All non-realized dharmas are like that. From the Tantra of the Great Perfection, Meaning Gathered, Self-Arisen Wheel of Bliss, Chapter Fifty-Nine, Showing the Faults of Non-Realization. The All-Knowing Teacher also said: The continuum of the bardo between samsara and nirvana, If one does not know the beginning and the end, Like a merchant without a surveyor, One will not be liberated from the suffering of birth and death. In the bardo between birth and death, If one does not recognize the Dharmakaya, Like a dark room without a lamp, The darkness of ignorance has no time to clear. That is also Vajrasattva, listen. In the bardo of equipoise and subsequent attainment, If one does not know to be constantly inseparable, Like a spring dried up by drought, The two, view and meditation, cannot accomplish the cause. In the bardo of object and mind, If one does not cut off the wrong path of external objects,
