The measure of clarity and non-thought is simultaneous, realizing the fruit as the self-born Dharmakaya. The faults are doubt, lack of faith, straying, wrong thoughts, and the three immovables. Listen to the essence of the gathering. Summarizing the root of these, the Dharmakaya is vividly remembered in the mind. Leave it in that very state. In the realm of objects, realization dawns without grasping. Self-awareness is filled with confidence and certainty. The manifest fruit is Buddhahood. From the Tantra of the Great Perfection, the Spontaneous Wheel of Bliss, the Chapter on Explaining the Divisions of Meaningful Meditation, the Fortieth Chapter. Then, the King of All-Knowingness spoke to the faithful assembly, "Thus, when yogis of realization focus on the definitive meaning, the characteristics of the senses and objects are not established in the ground. Therefore, even though things are self-appearing, they are not grasped because they are known as characteristics. Therefore, without any movement in the mind, saying 'this and that,' appearances are realized as the realm of Dharma. Listen, Vajrasattva. However, due to past habitual tendencies, like reflections in water, what is gathered by color and shape is just a dim, hazy light. Although it appears, no concept arises. On the face of one's own mind, like empty space without objects, clarity and awareness are clear. There is no seeing of self or other. All beings and things are known to be merely appearances, like illusory images, and therefore unreal. Therefore, no grasping mind arises. Listen to the essence of the assembly. Whatever actions are done after rising, do not grasp at things, and they are liberated in their own place. If one examines objects, realization without acceptance or rejection arises. Happiness and suffering, good and bad, clean and unclean, right and wrong, and whatever is seen separately, no concept or mind arises in anything. Therefore, realize that there is no abandonment or attainment. While abiding in the state of that realization, all the practices of means, such as the ten perfections and Dharma practices, are complete and perfect without abandoning anything. Listen to the essence of the gathering. Even if that knowledge is not manifest, like the waxing moon, that realization gradually brings forth all the qualities of the Buddha. Even if one knows and realizes in this way, do not show experiences to others, as it will cause false accusations, obstacles, and loss of accomplishments. Therefore, it is said to keep one's own experiences secret. That realization experience.

When one is endowed with (samadhi), various joys and pleasures arise. At that time, the yogi experiences a sense of panic, and due to pride, demons arise. From the Tantra of the Wheel of Spontaneous Bliss, the Great Perfection of the Meaning United, Chapter Forty-One: Teaching the Experience of Enlightened Mind. Thereafter, for the sake of the retinue, Vajrasattva inquired about the meaning. To one endowed with the experience of samadhi, the demons of view, meditation, and conduct as experience, I request the King of Equality to explain. Having heard the meaning of this request, he addressed the assembled retinue: In the bardo of equipoise, post-equipoise, appearances of light and sounds, frightening images and deceptive lies, if one knows how to view them, it is the supreme path. Furthermore, listen, all of you assembled retinue. When a supreme yogi enters samadhi, in the dark of night, in the embrace of clouds, it is as clear as the rising sun at dawn. The virtuous and non-virtuous deeds of sentient beings in the three realms, one knows completely, without exception, before and after. At that time, the demon of compassion enters, and the suffering of compassion for sentient beings arises. Abandoning samadhi, one engages in benefiting others, therefore, one falls under the control of demons. Furthermore, listen, Vajrasattva, from the empty sky, sounds arise, revealing various teachings of the Sugatas, realms adorned with ornaments, and pleasing sounds are heard. Abandoning samadhi, one engages in singing and dancing, with satisfaction and a sense of wonder and delight. If one clings to that, one is separated from experience, and is deceived by the demon of joy. Furthermore, listen, essence of the assembly, whether it is meditation experience or dreams, frightening images and other non-virtuous things, remaining in that state becomes a sin. Abandoning samadhi, there is the demon of sorrow, and unpleasantness, suffering, and misery arise. At that time, one becomes discouraged with work, weeping alone in solitude, falling under the control of the demon of form. Furthermore, listen, Vajrasattva, in any experience or dream, pleasing images are shown, revealing all the good and bad of the three times. What one says to others comes true. The demon of "I am" enters, abandoning samadhi, one becomes a villager, half true and half false in the middle, and ultimately everything one says is a lie, one is deceived by the demon of deception. Furthermore, listen, essence of the assembly, the demon of view is also among those, because this place is not known as the goal, due to not understanding, clinging to appearances, forms, etc., the mind enters the object.
