Listen, all of you. Because it arises suddenly, it is not the abiding reality. Do not take worldly phenomena as examples. The basis of samsara and nirvana has no connection. Furthermore, Vajrasattva, listen. Like a bird in the forest without father or mother. Like ascending into the vastness of the sky. Suddenly, between samsara and nirvana. Ignorance is cleared away by realizing the Dharmakaya. For this primordial self-arisen state. It is sufficient to know the view. The essence of samsara and nirvana is primordially nonexistent. The nature is unrelated to objects. It abides in the meaning of realizing that meaning. It is the great primordial Dharmakaya. All extremes of hope and doubt are completely pacified. Without clinging to words, it is inherently true. One and many are the phenomena of extremes. Therefore, it transcends both samsara and nirvana. Hearing this, do not be afraid; it is the supreme of views. Furthermore, listen to the essence of the gathering. Because there is no entity, it is free from permanence. Because it pervades all, it is free from annihilation. Because it is free from beginning and end, it is the self-arisen body. The inexpressible view is the object of mindfulness. Because that meaning is not inverted. One should abide on the path of wisdom. On the view of self-knowing certainty. Without distraction, observe with the mind. That is not an object-possessor. One sees oneself very clearly. Accustomed to that, one ultimately reaches the wisdom mind. The nature of reality is free from elaboration and unchanging. Self-arisen wisdom abides naturally. Not separating from that is the supreme of views. Furthermore, Vajrasattva, listen. Regarding this phenomenon of samsara and nirvana. As long as there are habitual tendencies. There will be phenomena that appear in this way. As long as habitual tendencies are purified. The objects of appearance are primordially nonexistent. Like a rope, a snake, a stake, and a person. The twenty-third chapter, which explains the view of not touching the extremes, from the Great Perfection, the Tantra of the Wheel of Bliss, the Self-Arisen Gathering of Meanings, is complete. Vajrasattva, listen also. Observing one's own mind as the Dharmakaya, with the awareness that pervades all, realizing the meaning of the uncompounded, the boundless awareness is one. Furthermore, listen to the essence of the gathering. The mind of the Buddhas, the equality of all. For all sentient beings without exception. The body that pervades extensively with the Dharmakaya. Because it is without beginning or end, it is like the sky. Awareness is not disturbed; it abides naturally. Without fixation, it is naturally clear. It is not an entity, yet it is knowable. Like the rising sun in the sky. With uncompounded wisdom. Without relying on anything, it eliminates afflictions. Without relying on the five elements. The unchanging destroyer

Like a vajra. The guru shows the meaning, the yogi, Without doubt, realizes his own mind. Knowing that everything is complete in one. Like opening the eyes of the blind of ignorance. This very wisdom and awareness, Free from the extremes of existence and non-existence, Clear and bright, without change. Like a precious silk from Kashmir. Also, Vajrasattva, listen! In the uncorrected nature, The dharmakaya without object arises naturally, Because there is not even a speck of hope or doubt, It is complete as spontaneously accomplished great wisdom. From the Dzogchen Meaning United Self-Arisen Bliss Wheel Tantra, the chapter showing the view of spontaneously accomplished wisdom, the twenty-fourth. Vajrasattva asked again: How is meditation without practice clear? What is the continuous conduct without separation? The fruits without hope or doubt, I beseech the all-knowing teacher to explain. Having heard the meaning of this question, In the assembled circle, he spoke: Meditation without practice, without separation, With the support of the body of complete maturation, In the ordinary ground of the ground of all, With the instructions of the qualified cause, Introducing one's own mind as the dharmakaya, Without grasping at objects, it is naturally clear. There is no increase or decrease in the original state. Also, Vajrasattva, listen! The definitive meaning of the mind of enlightenment, The wisdom body of all Buddhas, The yogi's wisdom eye of prajna, The self-arisen samadhi is continuous and unbroken. Because the self-arisen dharmakaya is recognized, Self-illumination is the path to enlightenment from the beginning. Not straying from that is the mind of the victors, That meaning is the intention of the Buddhas. Also, listen to the essence of the gathering! What is called the former habit, On the appearance of increasing grasping and holding, Constantly contemplating with attachment to reality, Therefore, it is the seed of samsara. What is called later afflictions, The mind that suddenly arises on the cause of ignorance, Looking at that, the karma of the maturation of the alaya, From that arising, the eight aggregates of happiness and suffering arise. The gathering of the former and latter, the objects of the five senses, The various distractions are thoughts, Because of attachment to that, the eight aggregates arise, Due to that fault, samsara matures. Also, Vajrasattva, listen! With the dharmakaya of qualified causes, From the darkness of the self-aware mind, Recognizing one's own characteristics, Free from elaboration on both object and mind, Without aiming at the middle or the edge, beyond memory, Because it is pure from the beginning, there is no action.
