Without abandoning it, liberation is impossible. Therefore, this is what all yogis should abandon. From the Tantra of the Great Perfection, the Quintessence of All Definitive Meanings, Equal to the Wisdom Sky, the thirty-ninth chapter, teaching the vows to be abandoned. Then, the King of All Awareness, bestowed the four kinds of vows, and declared them to the assembled retinue. Just as killing a poisonous snake and a wrongdoer, killing the enemy of the body and the wrongdoer, and those who slander mantras, etc., one obtains accomplishment by killing the sinful. Just as a bee extracts essence, yogis, through various methods, take the food and wealth of the miserly, taking what is not given and offering it in the gathering. Just as extracting the essence of a ripe fruit, without regard for before or after, the confident yogi, no matter what enjoyment of male and female desire, does not deviate from the path, is a companion of bliss. Just as a child plays with something in its hand, in order to enter the definitive meaning of the teachings, one can falsely speak of all worldly dharmas. In order to conceal faults, doing evil is also good. Now listen again to the essence of the gathering. Those vows that are bestowed, one must act with confidence in view, ordinary people cannot do. Therefore, one must do with confident wisdom. From the Tantra of the Great Perfection, the Quintessence of All Definitive Meanings, Equal to the Wisdom Sky, the fortieth chapter, teaching the vows to be bestowed. Eighth, summarizing the teachings. Then, Vajrasattva, in order to benefit the assembled retinue, to the King of All Awareness Mind, with truthful words, asked this: What is the difference between ignorance and wisdom? Are object and mind, the basis, one or different? What is the difference in the meaning of cause and effect? How is meditation existent or non-existent? What is the difference between realization and non-realization? Please, King of All Awareness, explain. Having heard this question, having understood the meaning, declared to the assembled retinue: The difference between ignorance and wisdom that all sentient beings possess is, I will tell, now listen. First, in samsara, nirvana, and bardo, awareness wavers, not being prophesied. Not recognizing that as oneself, therefore, no one's mind engages. That is delusion, the basis of samsara. Even if one examines this, one does not understand, therefore it is called quiescent ignorance. Now listen again to the essence of the gathering. From that, the clinging to no object, latent habits subtly arise. Therefore, one is obscured by oneself. Co-emergent ignorance.

That is called cause as condition. That cause is very fast, it is observed by holding it immediately. Latency arises and holds due to faults. It is called the immediately preceding condition. By the cause and the immediately preceding, the two conditions are combined, the co-emergent ignorance, it generates consciousness and enters the womb. It holds and generates subtle attachment and aversion. It is universally observed by the grasped within, therefore it is called the objective condition. Attachment and aversion arise more coarsely than that, arising from within, and also the appearance of the habitual realm of external objects, one's own mind enters into the meaning of thought. The realm and the eight dharmas are distinctly observed, I and mine, diligently grasping and observing. Because manifest attachment and aversion are complete, the objective and dominant two conditions are complete, it is called the imputational ignorance. Now also listen to the essence of accumulation. Co-emergent imputation, because the two are combined, it is the alaya consciousness. Because it generates the complete eight aggregates, it is called wandering in samsara. Now also listen to Vajrasattva. The wisdom of all Buddhas arises from realizing the nature of one's own mind. Ye (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) is the basis of all self-arising, She (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) is the meaning of definite meaning with scripture. Because of the union, it is Yeshe (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning). Like the combination of medicine and doctor. All the definitive meanings of the Great Perfection are gathered here. From the tantra of Yeshe (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) equal to space, the forty-first chapter explaining the difference between ignorance and wisdom ends. Then, the All-Knowing King, taught the difference between object and mind. All phenomena of appearance and existence, because they are the habits of the deluded mind, although there are various attachments to appearances, their essence is not established in the object. Therefore, appearance is a reversed delusion. Now also listen to the essence of accumulation. One's own mind is an example of delusion, like a rope snake, a stump, a person, universally observing the holding of existence in non-existence. The four elements of earth, water, fire, and wind, because the habits of delusion are increased, although they appear to be real, in reality they are not. Therefore, this object has no support, and all fools hold it as true. Destroyed by following the wrong path, destroyed by being deceived by seemingly sacred teachings. Now also listen to Vajrasattva. In the self-aware Dharmakaya wisdom, because the four conditions of delusion have not arisen, because there is no alaya, there is also no mind. Both object and mind have no basis, therefore in the baseless Dharmakaya, self-aware Ye
