He spoke of the metaphors that represent it: The body's alaya is like a house; Like a pleasant plain where the sun sets; Like the sky where stars appear. Now listen to the essence of the gathering again. These three aspects of the alaya also, From imputation and habit arise the alaya, The alaya is established by the union of the two. From the tantra of the Great Perfection, the definitive meaning of all gatherings, equal to the wisdom sky, is the sixth chapter, which shows the alaya of the afflicted body. In summary, the second is shown in brief. Then Vajrasattva, for the sake of the benefit of the assembled retinue, To the King of All-Knowing Dharma, with a true mind, made this request: "In the nature of reality, which is one root, What is the basis of samsara made of? From what do the sufferings of the six realms arise? How are the eternalist and nihilist heretics mistaken? From what do the levels of the vehicles arise? Please, King of Equality, explain." Having heard the meaning of this request, he spoke to the assembled retinue: "The basis of samsara is the unindicated consciousness, The display of the power of the self-existing body, In which there is no thought and the meaning is not grasped, Consciousness is self-appearing and the meaning is not altered, Because of the cause of ignorance, there is no certainty, Therefore, awareness is said to be unindicated." Now listen again to the essence of the gathering, That body of self-existing essence, Because there is no distinction between distraction and non-distraction, It remains in a dazed and confused state, Self-arising consciousness changes according to conditions, Therefore, it is called unindicated. The basis is of remembering and not remembering, The mind enters but does not know the meaning, The basis of ignorance is unindicated, Therefore, it is called the basis of samsara. From the cause of the mind-born gradual decline and reversal, Although there is a vague memory, In reality, one does not know the meaning, that alone, Because there is no basis for the cycle of ignorance, Therefore, the first samsara arises from that. From the tantra of the Great Perfection, the definitive meaning of all gatherings, equal to the wisdom sky, is the seventh chapter, which shows the basis of samsara. Then, to the assembled gathering, The King of All-Knowing spoke: The arising of the suffering of the six realms, First, in the bardo of samsara and nirvana, In the absence of existence, there arises a mere thought of existence, Because it is unindicated, it gradually declines, Consciousness becomes dark and murky, Even if one examines it, one does not recognize its face, In the ignorance of not knowing anything, There arises a subtle clinging to latent tendencies, Immediately after that, by grasping, The three aspects that arise together with ignorance, By imputation

Due to ignorance, it is like mistaking a rope for a snake. Warriors, clinging to external objects, despise the gods and humans of the world. Unable to attain liberation, they are immersed in the cycle of birth and death. Now listen to the essence of the gathering. The certainty of youthful ignorance is to associate with the lazy, indolent, and inferior. When indulging in the five poisons of attachment and aversion, the ripening karmic results arise from this. Hell beings see the nature of fire, etc. Hungry ghosts see impure sights. Animals see anthills extending upwards. Humans see appearances in four ways. Asuras see weapons. Gods see the seven treasures. These are the sufferings of the six realms. Now listen to Vajrasattva again. Those sufferings of the six realms that arise from ignorance, appear as real in delusion, but in reality, they do not exist. Therefore, ignorance is the greatest fault. From the Tantra of the Great Perfection, the Quintessence of All Definitive Meanings, the Wisdom Like Space, the eighth chapter, which explains how the sufferings of the six realms arise. Then, to the assembled retinue, the erroneous views of the non-Buddhists are taught, like a great delusion medicine, the faults of the basis and delusion, refuting and proclaiming the number, delusion without a basis of delusion, like a rabbit's horn, cannot exist. Delusion arises from the basis of delusion. Now listen to the essence of the retinue again. The essence does not change, it should not be considered a basis. Melted snow water, boiling water, should not be drunk by the wise. Lotus stamens should not be separated. The moon is not a thorn, it should not be separated. A container with unmarked holes should not be separated, and essence should not be poured in. If it does not match the meaning, it does not need to be modified. It should not be preserved and used. A crystal stupa shining brightly should not be hung around the neck. A great garuda or one who flies should not have its left and right wings cut off. A vajra of lapis lazuli, breaking it is an inconceivable sin. A burning jewel, a wish-fulfilling gem, should not be thought of as merely mixing poison. Tender branches of precious jewels should not be abandoned with slight appearance. The thread of a vajra rosary should not be mixed and viewed. Thorns filled with razors should not be torn apart by anyone. A precious jewel that needs to appear should not be discussed for burning. Flowers with shells should never be
