Dongnang. When a golden statue or stupa is made, it is to accumulate merit as a support. Gold is also seen as a good substance. For those with wisdom, all places are pure lands. For the essence of precious gold, there is no good or bad in the material of gold. Similarly, for the essence of the Dharmakaya, there is no basis for appearance or non-appearance. Now listen to the essence of gathering. In the collection of various silks, once made into brocade, it is separated from the names of various silks, just as brocade becomes one. Although the Dharmakaya is one's own mind, once shown through the cause of lineage, it is separated from the mind that grasps various things, and merges into the single bindu. For example, the basis of medicine and poison is the same, some are medicine, some are poison. Similarly, for this definitive Dharma, some are enlightenment, some are hell. Even the black Hala poison, if skillfully used, can become the best medicine. Similarly, attachment and hatred, once liberated in their own place, are self-born wisdom. Even the essence of the king of medicines, if not skillfully used and improperly consumed, is like the black Hala poison. The Dharma nature that abides in oneself, once without lineage and controlled by delusion, attachment and so on become the five poisons. Now listen to Vajrasattva again. The precious gold buried underground, if you do not know its essence, is like a stone. Similarly, the meaning that exists in oneself, if one cannot realize it, will produce illusion and delusion. Once you recognize its essence, it will become an inexhaustible treasure, and all needs and desires will arise from it. Once the definitive Dharmakaya is realized, it will appear in the form of a blessing jewel. Now listen to the essence of gathering again. The sun, moon, and stars in the sky, and the reflections in the water, are neither one nor separate. Similarly, the king of awareness and the appearance of the play of awareness are pervasive, different, and one in essence. The eighth chapter of the Great Perfection Definitive Meaning Gathering, which explains the gathering of metaphors and meanings, ends here. Then, to the assembly of the Gathering, the All-Knowing King said: Not dependent on causes and conditions, naturally arising, without clarity or obscurity, is wisdom. Because it is not produced through effort, it does not depend on the self-born path at all. Not produced from external objects, it exists primordially, it is enough to realize it through the cause of lineage. Now listen to Vajrasattva again. This true and infallible Dharmakaya Gathering exists in oneself, do not look outside. Do not waver the mind from the nature of Dharma.

Dharma! Do not forget the meaning of view, Do not be unclear in the state of meditation, Do not adulterate the Dharma of conduct, Do not transgress the basis of vows, Do not delay the law of fruit. Now listen to the essence of cyclic existence and nirvana, Abide in meditation without anywhere to go, Do not seek originality by being original, Do not cling to the Dharma of cyclic existence, Do not be too attached to the realm of appearances, Do not be sharp-witted in worldly talk, Do not divide the sky, Do not argue with the words of the Victorious Ones, Do not quarrel with the teachers. The Great Perfection gathers all the essential meanings, and the ninth chapter, which shows the collection of meanings, is complete. Then Vajrasattva, in order to benefit the assembled retinue, Asked the King of Mind, Kuntuzangpo, with the memory of his mind: How are the characteristics of the Vehicle confused? What are the obscurations of the inner and outer mantras? How are the qualities without means perfected? What is the difference between it and all the Great Vehicles? The difference between the Great Perfection's own tradition, The difference between the path and the fruit, How do you refute other schools? Please explain, Kuntuzangpo, the teacher. After hearing the meaning of the question, He spoke to the assembled retinue: All sentient beings in the six realms Are pervaded by the five aggregates, The common and individual characteristics, I will explain the differences between them. First, the common characteristics, The doctrine that believes in the five aggregates, The Mind-Only Great Vehicle says, Apart from the five aggregates, There is no other Dharma, Therefore, the five aggregates are truly existent. Now listen to the essence of the gathering, The five aggregates of cause, If you do not regard them as deities, with faith, By giving and other perfections, After practicing the path in stages, With non-conceptual samadhi, Purify the two obscurations, Possessing both means and wisdom, Is one's own ultimate truth. When the fruit is obtained, It is called the three bodies and four wisdoms. Now listen again, Vajrasattva, Those who believe in the five aggregates, Are not the true ultimate truth, Although they appear numerous, they are produced by conditions, Because they can be corrected and transformed by antidotes, Believing that they are merely conventional illusions, Is mistakenly believing in reality. Like mistaking a rope for a snake, There is no doubt that it is an illusion. Now listen again, Vajrasattva, The differences between the five aggregates and, The distinct characteristics of each
