No. (The Inconceivable One) then asked again: (O Bhagavan) what are the realms encompassed by the external world? Among the realms encompassed by the inner mind, what are the places where practitioners go? Please explain the meaning of those to me. Again, he taught: Great Hero, listen! The realms encompassed by the external world are: the earth realm produces the basis of the body, therefore it is called a realm. The water realm gathers all names, therefore it is called a realm. The fire realm ripens all objects, therefore it is called a realm. The wind realm sustains all moving worlds, therefore it is called a realm. The space realm holds all the senses, therefore it is called a realm. The realms encompassed by the inner mind are two: the vessel realm that holds the mind, and the realm that arises from the nature of the mind itself. The vessel realm is: the form realm that arises from the mind's memory being vast as its basis, the formless realm that arises from memory, and the desire realm that arises from memory holding separately. The realms that arise from the nature of the mind itself are: the eye realm that arises from the part of awareness that is self-luminous, the ear realm that arises from awareness being focused on one point, the nose realm that arises from awareness being infinite, the tongue realm that arises from all awarenesses gathering in one place, the mind realm that arises from awareness pervading everything, the body realm that arises from awareness being the support of all things, because it holds name and form, it is the eye consciousness realm, because it holds accomplished actions, it is the ear consciousness realm, because it holds following others, it is the nose consciousness realm, because it experiences things, it is the tongue consciousness realm, because it pervades all things and non-things, it is the mind consciousness realm, because it gathers the meaning of everything, it is the body consciousness realm, because it holds the inverted discriminations of things and accomplishes objects, it is the eye's combined touch realm, because it holds the appearing mind and accomplishes scattering, it is the ear's combined touch realm, because it gathers the awarenesses that obtain the increase at one time and steals the minds of others, it is the nose's combined touch realm, because it follows any

Because of holding and approaching, the gathering of the tongue is the realm of touch; because of gathering all memories and including all objects, the gathering of the mind is the realm of touch; because of holding many coarse things and gathering the elements, the gathering of the body is the realm of touch. Therefore, those realms also hold objects. That also arises from the part that inherently holds delusion itself. The aggregates are like this: the aggregate defiled by conceptualization, and the aggregate where conceptualizations are naturally empty. The Non-Conceptual Conqueror then asked again: O Blessed One, what is the aggregate called 'defiled by conceptualization'? What is the non-conceptual aggregate? Please, Teacher, tell me. Then you spoke again: O Great Conqueror, the aggregate defiled by conceptualization is like this: all things gather together and are accomplished by cause and effect, so it is the aggregate of form; all knowledge gathers as self, so it is the aggregate of consciousness; the experience of remembering itself, all experiences gather together, so it is the aggregate of feeling; the grasping of the senses such as the eye gathers together, so it is the aggregate of perception; subtle afflictions gather together, so walking and moving etc. are the aggregate of formations. These non-conceptual aggregates arise from the power of wisdom. It is like this: all meditations gather together, so it is the aggregate of samadhi; wisdom itself, because of the exhaustion of outflows, is the aggregate of the wisdom of liberation; the meaning of that itself appears as unborn, so it is the aggregate of wisdom; because impurities manifestly purify, it is the aggregate of discipline; because it transcends all conceptualizations, therefore it is the aggregate of seeing the wisdom of liberation. There are two kinds of faculties: faculties arising from the aspect of form, and faculties arising from the aspect of wisdom. The Non-Conceptual Conqueror asked again: O Blessed One, what are the faculties arising from the aspect of form? What is the aspect of the faculties arising internally from the aspect of wisdom? Please, Blessed One, tell me. The Blessed One said: O Great Non-Conceptual Conqueror, listen! These arising from the aspect of form are the faculties.
