Excellent. What is the principle of spontaneous arising? How should one view it? How to grasp the boundary between words and meaning to observe? What is the essence and nature of observation? What are the names of expressions? What is meant by meditation? What is its function and meaning? What is meditation that abides without distraction? What are the characteristics and manifestations of meditation? What are the faults of not meditating? I wish to hear these. Vajradhara, please tell me. Then, from the unconditioned sky, The one with thirty-two marks spoke these words on view, meditation, and conduct. King of the gods, listen well! Whoever doubts this will obscure the bodies of all Buddhas. First question answered: To hold view, meditation, and practice, one needs great faith and diligence, be able to give, respect the guru, have asceticism, and be wary of sin. Hold it with unwavering steadfastness. Or, one may be weak in strength, loose and foolishly relaxed, with little realization and slow nature, separated from body, speech, and action, and hold it with wisdom. Second question answered: The principle of spontaneous arising, in the manner of abiding in seven ways, is naturally accomplished from various aspects, the degree of change is uncertain, certain from the unchanging, the power of appearance can be transformed at will, everything arises and is accompanied by commitment. In order to purify delusion, in primordial purity (ཀ་དག་,梵文天城体:kadag,梵文罗马拟音:kadag,汉语字面意思:primordial purity), appearances are regarded as different colors. Because of the differences in such views, how does the Great Perfection Great Perfection) appear? Although there are many different views, in the view of abiding spontaneously, it is free from one and non-one, free from anything. Killing and taking what is not given also arise from me and are my Dharma. View, meditation, and action also transcend the extremes of existence, non-existence, and emptiness. In short, it is distinguished by characteristics. Third question answered: There are two types of view: verbal view and meaning view. The verbal view has seven stages, and each idea is accomplished through thought, free from action and effort, entering sequentially, distinguishing self and other, free from killing, good and evil, without action, without arising, without changing, appearance is self-purified, and afflictions are naturally liberated. Meaning refers to the direct observation of the object of the senses in the manifestation of Dharma nature, not through wisdom. It cannot be determined by words, in seeing the three essentials

In order to transform ignorance into the key. Because the faculties are sharp and without dullness, and because of purification through seeing the nature of reality, therefore, there is no good or bad in actions. Because the nature of reality is emptiness and without bias, therefore, both virtue and vice are completely eliminated. Because self-awareness cannot be manifestly realized, therefore, it is not liberated by the desire of the nine successive states. Because the nature of reality is exhausted and reaches the ultimate, therefore, it is the appearance of the path of the three bodies. Fourth question's answer: The boundary of observing words and meanings is that words are the cause of expression, and what is expressed and transformed by, that is the mental intellect of thought. Meaning is to observe oneself by oneself, through the three kinds of valid cognition, manifestly applying in the bindu-lineage. Directly seeing and directly liberating, what is seen by is meaning. Fifth question's answer: The essence of observation is seeing, it is not changed by mental words, it cannot be indicated through scriptures and the guru's oral instructions. Sixth question's answer: The nature of seeing pervades the vessel and essence world, without non-pervasion, therefore anything can be liberated. The liberated dharma is free from conceptual clinging, whatever appears is one's own nature of reality, there is no other artificial nature of reality. No matter how one acts, non-conceptual wisdom will arise, there is no abandonment and acceptance, it is self-appearance. Seventh question's answer: The names of expressing words are, outer, inner, secret, and unsurpassed four kinds of observation. Outer is observing the object of dharma, for the respective desires of the eight successive stages, it is considered as mental clinging. Inner is observing the nature of reality, realizing the essence of self as illusion. Secret is observing self-aware wisdom, seeing the bindu-lineage connected. The only one is the wisdom of the dharmadhatu. Eighth question's answer: Meditation means the mind abiding, cutting off the inner and outer flow, the apprehended and the apprehender cease. What arises from the natural state is called dhyana. Wind, channels, bindus, as well as body posture, head, and emptiness, are the desires of meditation. The light and color of letters, as well as the contraction and expansion of transformation and illusion, are called samadhi. The unadulterated natural abiding state, no matter what, it will not change, it is the intention of the Buddhas. Ninth question's answer: Its function and understanding are that the function is to cut off attachment to external objects, abandon afflictions and so on, and uproot the root of samsara. Understanding is to hold the nature of mind, make it abide and the breath cease, and the nature of reality.
