Pala! The body of tainted habits, possessing the fleshy eye, manifests as color and form. Depending on the wisdom arising from hearing, endowed with names, words, and sounds, the wisdom of the mind appears, yet without conceptualization. The appearing, the very body without grasping or being grasped, the result is attaining the Bodhisattva. In the very body without taint, the divine eye arises. Wisdom born from thought arises, and through that great self-born wisdom, one realizes the nature of reality as being like the sky, and the result is attaining the Sugata. The unsearched, self-born wisdom body, in the very body like a vajra, the wisdom eye arises. Through the wisdom born from meditation, the essence, self-born wisdom, dawns, attaining the stainless Dharmakaya of the Buddha, the result is the spontaneous accomplishment of the three bodies. The very body with taint is form, feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness, all gathered as one, appearing as form. Depending on those very ones, the fleshy eye arises, clearly seeing a yojana's distance, the five senses are likewise. Depending on other conditions, through the wisdom born from hearing, the non-conceptual wisdom arises, attaining the Dharmakaya of emptiness of mind itself. The result of that is the untainted body, form is the unobstructed Samadhi body, and the five aggregates depending on that, from the very body like a rainbow, possessing the divine eye, one sees a billion three-thousandfold worlds. Through the wisdom born from thought, eighty-four thousand doors of Dharma, all spontaneously accomplished, through that great self-born wisdom, the appearances both outer and inner, one realizes the Dharmakaya as being like the sky. Depending on those very ones, the very body like a vajra arises, the appearance as a wisdom aggregate is the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu, the mirror-like wisdom, the wisdom of equality, the discriminating wisdom, and the accomplishing wisdoms, gathered as one, is the wisdom body. That possessing the wisdom eye, sees all as being like the sphere of the sky, through the spontaneously accomplished self-born wisdom, one realizes the stainless Dharmakaya of the Buddha, the result is the undifferentiated accomplishment of the three bodies. From the very body with taint, one accomplishes the Sugata with the wisdom body. From the Great Extensive Jewel Sutra.

The tenth chapter, which is the chapter on the formation of the wisdom body based on the afflicted aggregates. The secret lord Vajrasattva, the gatherer, To the teacher of teachers, Samantabhadra, Asked about the measure and two signs of the equal taste of view, The measure and two signs of the equal taste of meditation, The measure and two signs of the equal taste of action, And the measure and two signs of the equal taste of the bardo. The teacher of teachers, Samantabhadra, To the secret lord Vajrasattva, the gatherer, In the time without beginning or end, Just as body and wisdom abide inseparably, Body and wisdom are divided into radiance and rays, Sentient beings have body and wisdom. At the time of the path, realize body and wisdom, At the time of the result, attain body and wisdom. Holding to the two extremes of eternalism and nihilism, The body and wisdom of Samantabhadra, Without good or bad, abide inseparably as one. Knowing what is as it is, is the view, Having no attachment or aversion to anything is the measure of the view. Transcending the eight worldly dharmas, Transcending the three realms, names and signs do not appear. Names and signs cannot express its meaning, It is inexpressible, knowing its suchness as it is. Like a mute person tasting flavor, clear in the heart, Wanting to speak but not knowing what to say. No matter what is done, these will continue to occur. Its signs arise from body and mind. There is no discomfort or effort in the body, There is no attachment, aversion, or anger in the mind. Whether moved by conditions or not, there is nothing. There is no joy or attachment to such things. Arising from the heart of Vajrasattva, No matter what is done, it is Samantabhadra. Since everything appears as Samantabhadra, Where is there anything to abandon or should be abandoned? The measure and two signs of the equal taste of meditation are: From the nature of reality without object, Through the five unobstructed sense doors, With the unwavering wisdom of mind, Arises the non-conceptual wisdom. Without inside or outside, it appears as such. Without distraction or non-distraction, Self-arising, naturally arising. Appearance without inherent existence arises. Awareness is realized inexpressibly. Bliss is bliss without anything to experience. The attachment and aversion of wrong views, And the sugatagarbha's self-arising wisdom, Are inseparably one taste. Unfabricated, without addition or subtraction, is essential.
