Vajra spoke thus: O great Bodhisattva, gather with a pure mind! Wisdom, wisdom, the object of knowledge! If you know the meaning of being from the beginning, Self-born wisdom is wisdom itself. That emanation, contemplation wisdom, Because it arises from an object, it is not self-born. If it does not arise from an object, it does not illuminate. Therefore, self-born wisdom, Because it is known from the beginning, it is wisdom. That is called wisdom. The wisdom of the teacher of the retinue, Because it relies on an object, it is wisdom. Whoever contemplates an object, That is not the wisdom of awareness. The object of self-awareness is, The mind itself arising as awareness. Like the moon in water, Because it is clear, it is self-born wisdom. Because wisdom arises from itself, There is no need to meditate on samadhi. Because you do not meditate on samadhi, There is no accumulation of habitual patterns. The nature of reality without habitual patterns is, The intention of the Buddhas of the three times arises. The intention of all the Buddhas of the three times is, The equality of object and subject, wisdom is self-illuminating. Bodhisattva Vajra, listen! The wisdom of all the Buddhas, From the beginning, it abides in equality. Bodhisattva Vajra, listen! The wisdom of all the Buddhas, Because there is no conceptualization from the beginning, The Sugatas do not have intentions, The object of conceptualization is separate from all. Whoever is extremely fortunate in yoga, Whoever that may be, If it is self-illuminating from non-conceptualization, That is the intention of the Buddhas. Bodhisattva Vajra, listen! Because self-born wisdom does not conceptualize objects, It is not stained by the habitual patterns of conceptualization. Therefore, karma is the habitual pattern of contemplating samadhi. Because it is free from conceptualization, there are no habitual patterns. The five self-born wisdoms that are clear and free from conceptualization, Are explained as the nature of mind, the five sense gates. That self-born wisdom has no obstruction. The essence of all varieties, the nature of Bodhicitta appears. The nature of wisdom does not obstruct, the essence is clear and distinct. Because it appears by its own causes, it is not abandoned there. Non-conceptual samadhi, habitual patterns, wisdom are clear. That is the intention of the Buddhas of the three times, Whoever abides in this intention, Does not abide on the ground, does not seek to accomplish the welfare of beings. This abides in the great bliss of the nature of reality, It is the essence of the heart of all the Victorious Ones. Bodhisattva Vajra, understand the meaning of these words with wisdom and practice them. Your own mind, yes!

In the five knowable realms, self-manifestation occurs, Not desiring the realm of the five wisdoms. The five realms self-arise as the five wisdoms, Because that realm is inherently wisdom. I have not shown realm and wisdom as two, Therefore, realm is also spoken of as self-born wisdom. Self-born wisdom is the self-arising of the non-existent. The three Buddhas who emerge from me, Relying on the unobstructed, clear realm, Wisdom is clear and conceptual terms are applied, The appearance of the number of wisdoms arises, In one thing, namely thought, realm, consciousness, and wisdom, The nature of one appears separately. To the possessor of the realm, the name of the realm is given, But this is not definite, it is applied through delusion. Samantabhadra is not my self-born wisdom, Samantabhadra, the Great Perfection, one self-born wisdom arises, Names are applied to the desires of samsara and nirvana, Due to the distinctions of the desires of samsara and nirvana. The mind of enlightenment and the sphere of dharma, Self-born wisdom, the realm of space. The Dharmakaya, Sambhogakaya, and Nirmanakaya, Body, speech, mind, and all-knowing. The four wisdoms, three wisdoms, and two wisdoms, The five wisdoms, the sphere, and wisdoms, etc. The dharma that bestows pervasiveness in one self-born wisdom, Immeasurable qualities merely appear. Thus it was said. From the tantra of Khasa Manta, equal to the edge of space, The chapter on showing self-born wisdom, the fifty-ninth, is complete. Then, the Bodhisattva Vajra asked the Bhagavan Glorious Samantabhadra thus: Emaho! Samantabhadra Vajrasattva, The supreme palace where all abide, Samantabhadra Vajrasattva the Great, Please teach to those with fortune. Thus he spoke. Then Samantabhadra spoke: Vajrasattva, assembly of the fortunate, Samantabhadra Vajra, I myself, Abide as the essence of enlightenment for all, The palace of the sphere of dharma, Is the nature of the mind of enlightenment. All sentient beings of the three realms, and All the Sugatas without exception, In that great expanse of mind, There is not one who does not abide. It is the ground and place of all, Abiding there without gathering or scattering. In that there is no purifying or traversing, If one purifies and traverses in stages, One fabricates one's own mind, and will never attain it. It is the general ground shown previously, the Great Bodhisattva. The three bodies that emerge from me, Are the retinue of cause and effect, pure and distinct.
