There are one hundred. In terms of classification, they gather into three incomplete ones. If the essence is not realized, deviations arise. If primordial purity is not realized, it is obscured by obscurations. If one's own ground is not grasped, one wanders in the six realms. Thus he spoke. This is the forty-fourth chapter, showing deviations and obscurations for those who have not realized completeness. Then, Self-Appearing Youngster asked the teacher who liberates all extremes: How are deviations, obscurations, and confusions cut off? The teacher spoke to the assembly: If the essence of reality is not realized, there are deviations; if the meaning of the vast essence is realized, there are no deviations. If primordial purity is not realized, it is obscured by obscurations; if the meaning of luminous reality is realized, there is no obscuration. If one wanders through the five senses, one becomes confused; if one grasps the unborn self-ground, the root of confusion is cut off. If there are deviations in view, conduct, and so on, there is no place to be free from desire and partiality. If there are obscurations of the Hearers and other vehicles, if the meaning of complete and unsurpassed is realized, there are no obscurations. If one wanders in the six realms of samsara, if the root of mind is cut off by liberating from extremes, there is no confusion. Thus he spoke. This is the forty-fifth chapter, cutting off deviations, obscurations, and confusions from the root. Then, Self-Appearing Youngster asked the teacher who liberates all extremes: How does one counteract deviations and obscurations? The teacher spoke to the assembly: Once the meaning of complete breakthrough is realized, one counteracts without vehicles. Once the meaning of self-arisen luminosity is realized, one counteracts without obscurations. Once the meaning of the self-mind dharmakaya is realized, one counteracts without samsara. Once the meaning of the three poisons' primordial purity is realized, one counteracts without the three kayas. Once the meaning of the five poisons' primordial purity is realized, one counteracts without the five kayas. Once the meaning of vast, boundless, all-liberating is realized, one counteracts into the great nameless, beyond mind. Once the meaning of self-mind, insubstantial dharmakaya is realized, one counteracts into all Buddha realms. Once the meaning of no vehicle, dharma, or doctrine is realized, one counteracts into that which is beyond thought, expression, and object. Once the meaning of mind, awareness, and no Buddha is realized, one counteracts into the exhaustion of mind, liberation from confusion, and no desire. Once the meaning of no view, meditation, conduct, result, experience, or signs is realized, one counteracts into the unmade, effortless, and beyond mind. Thus he spoke. This is the forty-sixth chapter, counteracting the three: deviations, obscurations, and confusions. Then, Self-Appearing Youngster asked the teacher who liberates all extremes: Essence

What is the instruction of meaning? After asking this, the Teacher addressed the assembly: This essential instruction of meaning, place it in the heart of the fortunate ones. The essence is nameless, its depth is boundless. Awareness is unborn, liberated from all limits. Non-existent, liberated from the realm of mental activity. Thus he spoke. The chapter on showing the instruction of the essence of meaning is the seventy-seventh. Then, Self-Appearing Youth asked the Teacher who is completely liberated from all limits: What are the three: nectar, essence, and drops? After asking this, the Teacher addressed the assembly: These three: nectar, essence, and drops, place them in the clear, pure, precious heart. Without abandoning the expanse of the ocean of Dharma-nature, with the essence-drops of nectar. From itself, itself arises, liberated in that very state. From the expanse of the unborn ocean, with the essence-drops of nectar, liberated into the realm of the great spontaneously luminous clarity. From the expanse of phenomenal existence, with the essence-drops of nectar, without abandoning self-appearance, without cultivating, liberated without calculation. Thus he spoke. The chapter on the three nectars, essences, and drops dripping upon the fortunate ones is the seventy-eighth. Then, Self-Appearing Youth asked the Teacher who is completely liberated from all limits: What are the three root precepts of the instructions? After asking this, the Teacher addressed the assembly: The three essential, restrictive, critical, and fundamental dharmas are: My nature is without anything. My characteristics manifest in various ways. Merely by manifesting, the various things are liberated in their own place. Thus he spoke. The chapter on showing the collection of root instructions is the seventy-ninth. Then, Self-Appearing Youth asked the Teacher who is completely liberated from all limits: What are the weapons for refuting and debating? After asking this, the Teacher addressed the assembly: The method of turning back the weapons of debate, assembly, listen respectfully without distraction. Dzogchen, Yangti, Tögal, enemies of the nine vehicles will come. From Ati to the Shravakas, there are nine different philosophical tenets. When those nine kinds of arguments arise, first, firmly build a castle. Then send out fearless heroes. Then seek solid armor. Then take up sharp weapons. When the nine vehicles debate and inquire, throw the opponent's tenets into the water. Place the heroes, protect the solid castle. Ask the opponent whether this mind exists or not. If it exists, ask about its shape and color. If they say it does not exist
