For example, just as dividing and modifying the sky would make it incomplete, the nature of the spontaneously arisen Bodhicitta is originally all-pervasive and vast. Regarding this already accomplished state, the meaning that is difficult to modify with words and letters, it should be said as follows: Before the arising of self-mind, Buddha and Bodhi do not exist. The Lord of the three times, Bodhicitta, Has the power to benefit others. The confidence of being accustomed to the state of no-self, Is regarded as the essence of the foundational meaning. From the tantra "King of All Conducts, Effort with Meaning," the third chapter on how to practice and view the practice of the mind. Then, the Bhagavan, in order to explain how to practice the conduct of means, and what view to possess, specifically spoke the following: What is the conduct of means? Vajrasattva, please listen. This teaching must be explained. Therein, there are three types of conduct of means: practicing with means on the phenomena of conventional truth, practicing with means on the internal phenomena of afflictions, and practicing with means on the indivisible state of great bliss in the lotus of the Mother. Therein, practicing with means on the phenomena of conventional truth means not regarding as faults and abandoning mountains, earth, rocks, plants, forests, etc., and all existing substances, as well as the arising and ceasing of the great elements, etc. That itself is the practice of everything. For example, just as a brave person with courage and skill in means subdues all enemies with means, making them appear as virtues, similarly, through the skillful practice of means, all appearances of substantial characteristics are seen as illusion, because self-nature is not established, so it is non-dual, and because it is unborn, no matter how it is practiced, there is no fault, only virtue. Knowing it as illusion and understanding it as unborn, even killing is not a fault, only virtue, because one knows its lack of self-nature and understands it as equality. Even taking what is not given is not a fault, only virtue, because one knows its non-duality. Because there is no difference, even engaging in unchaste conduct is not a fault, because one does not accumulate those meanings, and does not reveal the secret instructions in public, this is the practice of means. Not distinguishing between sects, expanding with the wisdom of no-self is also the practice of means. Not distinguishing between good and bad conduct,

By making it a spontaneous enjoyment, it is also practicing with skillful means. To that, it should be said as follows: All the phenomenal substances of appearance and existence, Are perceived as existent by minds deluded by ignorance. The yogi skilled in skillful means, Practices familiarly in non-inherent existence. Attachment to the characteristics of cause and effect, Ordinary people become attached due to delusion. The wise realize that there is no inherent existence from the beginning. The origin arises from the womb of the unborn mother, Showing that it is the unchanging essence. The king of conduct arises from this. Liberating all through bodily conduct, Liberating all sentient beings, Delights the Victorious Ones and is born as their child. Eating without purity or impurity, Delights the Victorious Ones and is born as their child. Uniting without acceptance or rejection, Delights the Victorious Ones and is born as their child. Acting without good or bad, Delights the Victorious Ones and is born as their child. If one does not practice with skillful means, Even renunciation itself becomes a cause of samsara. Practicing with skillful means, Is like a lord enjoying a field. If someone does not possess that, Even using their own wealth is like taking what is not given. With the practice of skillful means, One practices the nature of phenomena as the mother. One practices appearance and existence as Samantabhadri. One practices the realm as the sphere of dharma. One practices the body as the great mudra. One practices the aggregates as the field of liberation. One practices the three poisons as body, speech, and mind. In ultimate truth, because there is no birth, Even if one practices with skillful means, there is no straying. One practices without attachment or conceptualization, It is in accordance with meaning and without contradiction. Here, practicing with skillful means on afflictions as internal dharmas: For example, just as darkness naturally does not remain in the center of the sun, Similarly, afflictions naturally do not remain in the practice of the wise. By practicing with skillful means, one practices desire as the ornament of the purity of dharmata. One practices hatred as the field of great compassion. One practices ignorance as the sphere of the unborn. One practices pride as the supreme quality of greatness. One practices jealousy as non-abiding in discrimination. For example, just as the body of the Thus-Gone One is good no matter how one looks at it, Similarly, the practice of skillful means is a field of goodness no matter how one looks at it. To that, it should be said as follows: All the causes of afflictions, Are the field for practicing with skillful means, Therefore, one should not abandon them but practice with them.
