arises. Wisdom is one, but because there are various kinds of wisdom sought, There are attachments and obstructions, and the obscurations of erroneous wisdom arise. Truth is one, but because there are six such as these, There are true and false, and the obscurations of erroneous teachings arise. The manifestation of signs is one, but because there are various expressions, There are true and moist, and the obscurations of erroneous instructions arise. Because something is lost or absent in something, There are fabrications, slanders, perversions, and artificial delusions, And because something is absent in something, and something is not accumulated in something, Therefore, there are countless thoughts and fixations. Fabrications and slanders obscure the two self-arisen truths. Obscurations of error and so on, likewise, endless thoughts. Thus, the true meaning of clarifying the fabrications and slanders of others was spoken. From the Tantra of Khasa Manta, equal to the extent of space, the chapter on showing what to accept and reject from obscurations of error, page 231, is the ninth chapter. Then, the Bhagavan Samantabhadra spoke thus to the assembled gathering: Because my suchness is uncreated and not artificial, This mind of enlightenment, the nature of all, Is primordially me, and because everything is spontaneously accomplished, There is no need to seek or cultivate the nature of ten, etc. Whatever my nature is, it is like space. One does not seek everything from pure space. By striving and cultivating, one transcends all space. Likewise, because my very self is conventionally spontaneously accomplished, Others do not look at, meditate on, or practice meditation on me. Whatever yana of striving cause and effect, With the ten limbs of nature and so on, Even if one seeks the self-arisen one in all three times, Since my nature has become manifest, How could it only become seeing and hearing? Throwing it into space, pega utaya Oneself falls to the ground and becomes deteriorated. My nature is certainly prophesied, By looking at what is not oneself, one does not see, it is not so. Because the limbs of the sought nature are meaningless, One strives for suchness in suchness. All desired accomplishments are perfected in oneself. Unchanging as it is, rest without distraction above. One does not need the view with striving here. One does not need the vows and protections with thoughts here. Likewise, the conduct of practicing asceticism, There is no abandoning of all actions and striving desires. In that, there is no that, that is, that is the supreme essence of that. Whatever and all those are that very nature. That nature is that, supreme, that is what is grasped. Thus it was spoken. Explaining the meaning of untying the knot of thatness.

Listen, great Bodhisattva! Knots should be untied. Wisdom should be made clear and arise. It should be perfected and majestic. Since the wisdom of all essences is self-illuminating and inherently complete, there is no need to generate the wisdom of awareness. Since all supports and places are completely realized without exception, there is no other ground to rely on after training. Since all actions and efforts are the path of self-nature, there is no other goer than me. Since I am originally free from dualistic appearances, there is no appearance of the two, grasper and grasped, from the beginning. There is nothing other than me that can be established. I am the essence of enlightenment for all, so there are no other secret instructions. Since it is beyond all exaggeration and slander, I recite the essence of all dharmas. Since no other is perceived in a place without me, I also recite that there is no view to meditate on. Since there is nothing to protect other than me, I also recite that there are no vows to protect. Since the desired activities are spontaneously accomplished, I also recite that there is no need to seek activities. Since self-nature has been established by me, I also recite that it is the descent of the great prophecy. Since there is nothing other than me in the Dharma, I also recite that I am Samantabhadra myself. Not seeing me is said to be obscuration. There are two obscurations, me and mine, not seeing is the obscuration of karma, not knowing is the obscuration of knowable objects. All phenomena that appear are the essence of the mind of enlightenment, so not knowing and ignorance are said to be the nature of obscuration. All phenomena that appear, if self is self and other is not, then if self-thought arises about that, thinking that it is that, self obscures self, self cannot know self-nature. All phenomena that appear are all Bodhisattvas themselves, there is no other than themselves, so the place of straying is also either self or other. Self-straying is grasping at self as real, other-straying is grasping at other as true, if the place of straying is gathered together, there are two, if scattered outwards, it is like various wrong thoughts. Knowing those very things is bliss, all aspects clearly appear as the supreme of bliss. Thus it was said. From the Tantra of Khasa Manta, equal to the extent of space, the thirtieth chapter, which teaches the suchness that is not other, is complete. Then Samantabhadra said this. With the six vehicles of certainty
