Considering impurity is unreasonable, because it is an illusion, because it is accompanied by concepts, because it is an external manifestation. If it is an external manifestation, then, if those minds are considered to be characteristics, the appearances of dreams, etc., those minds will also become the same. If the second valid cognition (pramana) establishes that it is impure, because there is no reason, so there is no reason here. If yellow color and foul smell are signs of impurity, then gold and garlic, etc., will also become impure. If the heat of the abdomen is completely ripe, and yellow color is impure, then, because the cow does not have the heat of the abdomen, milk will also become impure. Therefore, in the two valid cognitions, which one's nature is not established? Is that impure? Or, how is it bound by existence? How can all that arises from the great elements be said to be impure? How can it be said to be pure? Because the Great Vehicle is not seen, the thought of purification is sacred, unchanging, inherently separate from birth, unharmed by purity and bondage, without harm, without fault, without disturbance, without a method of fabrication, pervading everything, the support of the enjoyment and fruition of all beings, beyond concept and non-concept, without parts and with parts, without change and without appearance, with the appearance of existence and non-existence, like the pervading space, one should examine wisdom itself. The realm of nature is inconceivable, or one should not act in various ways. The nature of mind is inconceivable. Therefore, all the actions of language, the mind is the thinker, not the nature of mind. Just as the potter's wheel is held by the potter, but is not the potter, similarly, the mind is not the nature of mind. Mind and non-mind are the nature of mind, knowledge and the nature of the knowable, not to be practiced, not to be obtained, profound is what the Buddha said. Like the very deep ocean, like the sky without end, like the wish-fulfilling jewel that satisfies, like a candle that dispels darkness. The one who is called a great Bodhisattva has no doubt about the happy realms. Through the distinction of ignorance and knowledge, existence and nirvana exist. This is the great tantra called the source of life, about purity and impurity.

The seventh chapter, called "Dispelling". Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Samantabhadra, with joyful eyes opened, especially spoke this verse: Emaho, how excellent is the way of the Buddha! Emaho, that quality is without stain! Emaho, although possessing all defilements and purifications, It is also equal. I pray to you, Protector! What is your doctrine like? What is its meditation like? What is its conduct like? Thus, my doubts, May you, Protector, dispel them! The all-pervading Vajradhara. Then, the Lord spoke: In short, the doctrine of self-established nature, Fortunate son, listen! By the distinction of elements, nature is, Different from sentient beings and containers, That which abides is not dispelled, Nor should the wise cultivate it. The measure of four and a half million, The wheel of the channels, of embodied beings, That should not be meditated upon, Because it is self-established, like the warmth of fire. All defilements are purified, In nature, there is no difference. Means and wisdom are not doctrine, Doctrine arises from turning away from action. On the essence of self-awareness, Meditation itself is not reasonable, Nor is there meditation on what is unreal. On the part that possesses both, It is not hidden as before. If the doctrine is self-established by nature, What should one meditate on, with what, and how? Because that nature is not seen, Meditation will not attain it. Because that nature is attained, Then meditation becomes meaningless. Meditation is for dispelling impurities, If one acts by having acted, Because space itself is impurity, Then what dispels what? Dispelling or not dispelling, In ultimate truth, there is neither. Because of the cause of not abandoning what, Meditation should be known and meditated upon. Closing the eyes and not closing the eyes, At the time of enjoyment and at the time of happiness, Where does that nature constantly abide, How can it be made small? That which pervades the entire three realms, That which has abandoned views and so on, Of what does the pervading space, How can it be placed like the size of a vase? The mass of water of the ocean, That which does not see this shore and the other shore, Having taken scattered drops and made a stream of water, Who can measure it? Of the thirty-six Mount Merus, The number of extremely fine dust particles, Fingertip
