It is. The nature of mind is without object, not thinking of any object of focus, there is not even a particle of dharma to be focused on. Not thinking of any object of focus, the one who focuses, the mind that thinks of its meaning is a hero. The nature of mind is without object, that mind is determined to be primordially enlightened. Unborn, unceasing, without object, without object is meditation. Past Buddhas together with their sons, as well as present and future Buddhas with their sons, all accomplish through understanding these ten practices, therefore these ten are the mother of all Buddhas. Thus it is said. From "The Ultimate Knowledge of Bodhicitta", the chapter on teaching the ten practices, the twenty-second chapter. Then, the hero Vajra again requested: Teacher of teachers, Bodhisattva Samantabhadra, on what does one not rely, the supreme view without view, that meditation of resting without searching for that nature, please Bodhisattva Samantabhadra himself explain it. Bodhisattva Samantabhadra said: The nature of all, from the beginning is emptiness itself. Transcending example, therefore devoid of the meaning of what can be expressed. Transcending words, therefore devoid of the speech of what can be said. Transcending sound, therefore devoid of the object of what can be heard. Separated from cause, therefore there is no result to be obtained. Nature is empty, therefore separated from the extreme of fabrication. Without color, therefore separated from the object of focus. Not anything, therefore separated from all partiality. Unsearchable, therefore separated from the clinging of views. Not thinking of anything, nor moving anything, not remembering anything, nor doing anything. Not mixed with anything, meditation also has no name. Not seeing anything, nor looking at anything, whoever abides in such a nature, is merely nominally called meditation. Awareness without any concept is meditation, resting in such a nature is meditation. Abiding in a state of non-action is meditation, clarity without object is meditation. Not seeing in any way is meditation, resting equally without fabrication is meditation. Not being distracted from the meaning of non-meditation, the meditation of non-meditation is the most supreme. Thus it is said. From "The Ultimate Knowledge of Bodhicitta", the chapter on showing the difference between view and meditation, the twenty-third chapter. Then, the hero Vajra again asked: Teacher of teachers, Bodhisattva Samantabhadra, of the Buddhas of the three times

In the nature of Dharmadhatu, in the state of equality without abandonment or adoption, self-awareness is integrated into Samantabhadra. All dharmas are contained within the ten limits of knowledge and learning. To what kind of vessel should this great, unconditioned lineage be imparted and entrusted? The supreme Samantabhadra declared: Listen, courageous Vajra! Those who lack the capacity of future times, despise the Guru's body and have little faith. They do not cherish their Dharma brothers, and slander with partiality. They are extremely attached to possessions, have little faith and are lazy in practice, they know but do not protect their vows, their words are refined but their meaning is coarse, they are lazy and their behavior is rough, they are arrogant and their nature is high, and they make judgments with bias. If this is taught to such a person, it is the same as killing sentient beings in the three realms. Even if they promise to be a servant to others, and offer land and women, it was not permitted to teach them. If it is taught to them, they will be born in a short-lived hell. Therefore, it should be forbidden like blocking the mouth of a dead horse. Courageous Vajra, listen well! All Ati unconditioned lineages are contained within the ten limits of knowledge and learning. To impart and entrust to a vessel is to worship and respect the Guru as a deity, to cherish Dharma brothers and be extremely loving, to have little attachment to possessions, to protect vows like one's eyes, to practice with mindfulness, to see samsara as mud, and to cherish the meaning of the teachings. It is possible to entrust to those with great wisdom. Great faith and little stinginess, they bravely take on difficulties, great mindfulness and full of dignity, they do not care for body and life but believe in the Dharma, they do not live in cities and hold to humble conduct. To such a disciple, this Ati unconditioned lineage should be taught. Courageous Vajra, keep it in mind! If hidden in the heart, it is extremely excellent. Having said this, the lineage was imparted and entrusted to the courageous Vajra. From the "Bodhi Mind, the Lineage that Cuts Off the Limits of Knowledge", the chapter on imparting and entrusting, the fourth root chapter. The "Bodhi Mind, the Lineage that Cuts Off the Limits of Knowledge" ends. Abiding in the great bliss of suffering. Thus it was said. From the great lineage equal to the edge of space, the chapter on establishing knowledge through skillful means, merging into space, the thirty-fifth chapter. Then again to the courageous Vajra, the retinue of self-appearing wisdom requested thus: Secret Lord of all Buddhas, Bodhi
