Then, with clear and pure (mind), to the primordial Buddha Kunsang (Samantabhadra): From where does the fault of ignorance and delusion arise? After asking this, the teacher spoke to the assembly: The fault is wind and ignorance, not knowing the nature of equality, ignorant wind. Wind causes the mind to not take its place, and because the mind does not take its place, mental discrimination arises. Is it or is it not? Names and categories arise. By relying on names, desire arises in the mind. The root of the fault is the wind and the ego-grasping of consciousness. Not knowing the method of reversing it, attachment to desire arises in the mind. Through the power of these, light forms with faces and eyes. Through this fault, the six afflictions arise. Ego-grasping, the five poisons, evil spirits, 'I' and 'mine'. Sentient beings of the six realms wander in samsara due to delusion. The fault of grasping subject and object, objects, mind, bias, affirmation and negation. The fault of appearances, clinging, hatred, cannot be expressed enough. The root is the dualistic mind, 'I' and 'mine', the three poisons of greed and desire, which are the root of faults. Thus it was said. From the Tantra of the Mountain Pile, the seventh chapter, which explains the root of faults. Then, with clear and pure (mind), to the primordial pure Buddha (asking): How can one realize the essence of primordial purity? After asking this, the teacher spoke to the assembly: The essence of the heart, I will explain the great essential points. Clear light, clear, fix it in your mind. For the method of realizing the essence of primordial purity, abandon desire, action, effort, and practice. Do not look, do not meditate, do not act, it transcends the mind. That insubstantial primordial purity, cannot be sought through action, transcends thought, cannot be symbolized by metaphor. Transcending mind, free from thought, realize its meaning. At the time of realization, knowledge and speech are free from extremes. Insubstantial, all things appear, nothing at all, yet everything appears. It is not that it does not exist, but that various things appear. Various things appear, but there is no substance. It is not that there is nothing at all, but that it appears as two. The two are not established, they dwell as one. Not dwelling as one, there is no thing. The nature of insubstantiality transcends the mind. To give an example, it is clear emptiness, indivisible. Self-arisen clear light, clear and completely pure. Clear and bright, without any gap. Through this, realize the essence of primordial purity. Nothing at all, bodhicitta. Insubstantial, cannot be counted, transcends the mind. The essence of the heart, the essential points of the oral instructions. Thus it was said. From the Tantra of the Mountain Pile, the eighth chapter, which realizes the essence of primordial purity. Then, with clear and pure (mind), to the primordial pure Buddha (asking): What

How is it that there is no mind beyond? After asking this, the Teacher spoke to the retinue: I will explain the absence of mind beyond. Retinue, do not be distracted, listen respectfully. The nine-pointed Puti Yoga is, do not seek, do not strive, it is enough to rest in the unconditioned state. Because all created dharmas are destroyed, I will explain a self-arisen dharma that is not created. Dharmas achieved through effort are all wishes. I will explain a dharma that is achieved without effort. Wishing, desiring, thinking, and contemplating are dharmas of the mind. I will explain a dharma beyond the mind that is free from wishing and desiring. So he said. In the Tantra of the Mountain of Accumulation, the ninth chapter is the explanation of the absence of mind beyond. Then, with the purity and clarity of self-nature, to the Buddha of original purity, by what is the unreal reality attained? After asking this, the Teacher spoke to the retinue: The way to attain unreal reality is to abandon the efforts of body, speech, and mind. There is no attainment through seeing, meditating, or acting. Unreal wisdom is beyond the mind. It is inseparable from the state of clear emptiness. Clear and distinct, without substance or name. Not discriminating anything, beyond thought. In the nature of unreal reality, there is no mind or conceptual grasping for anything. It transcends consciousness, awareness, memory, and thought. It is attained without desire or calculation. At the time of attainment, the unreal is beyond the mind. It transcends the distinction between appearances and existence. So he said. In the Tantra of the Mountain of Accumulation, the tenth chapter is the attainment of the unreal. Then, with the purity and clarity of self-nature, to the Buddha of original purity, how is the essence of the hearts of all Buddhas, the innermost essence of their intentions, gathered? After asking this, the Teacher spoke to the retinue: I will explain the gathering of the essence of intention, retinue, do not be distracted, keep it in your hearts. A ta tiṣṭha, (Tibetan: ཨ་ཐ་ཏིཥྛ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: अथ तिष्ठ, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: atha tiṣṭha, Chinese literal meaning: Ah, abide), Vajra Sattva bho, (Tibetan: བཛྲ་སཏྭ་བྷོ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: वज्रसत्त्व भो, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: vajrasattva bho, Chinese literal meaning: Vajrasattva, ho), A siddhi a a, (Tibetan: ཨ་སིདྡྷི་ཨ་ཨ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: असद्धि अ अ, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: asiddhi a a, Chinese literal meaning: Ah, accomplishment, ah, ah), Buddha sarva mala tiṣṭha thula duna a a. Sanskrit Roman transliteration: buddha sarva mala tiṣṭha thula duna a a, Chinese literal meaning: Buddha, all, impurity, abide, coarse, give, ah, ah). Then the original Buddha, the essence of the hearts of all the Tathagatas, the essence of their intentions, explains the gathering of the intentions of all the Buddhas. The clear light of self-nature abides in the heart. Although the unreal original purity is beyond words, it is explained so that inferior wisdom may give rise to realization. Because the nature of reality is completely pure, the nature of all dharmas is completely pure. The gathering of the essence of the hearts of all the Tathagatas is the collection of all the sutras of intention into one. The originally non-existent original purity is the all-creating unreal, which is separate from all actions, without beginning or end.
