Now I offer the torma. To that which has no seer or seen, please accept without desire. Please bless me in the great primordial purity that cuts through elaboration. I offer the torma without naming. Please bless me in the absence of conceptual appearance. I offer the torma without seeking action. Please bless me in the great absence of action. I offer all good and bad as torma. Please bless me in the absence of acceptance and rejection. I offer the ground and the display of its potential as torma. Please partake of the ground and the dissolution of its potential. Please bless me in the absence of distinction and change. Torma is not a mixture of mundane substances. To that which has no giver or receiver, the torma of bodhicitta is especially sublime. Thus it was said. The nectar essence of the union of appearance and existence, from the tantra that cuts through the beginning and end of samsara, the chapter on establishing one's own mind as torma, the thirtieth chapter is complete. Then Vajrasattva asked the teacher, Samantabhadra, the nature of mind: What is the definitive meaning of torma? The teacher then instructed the assembly: Listen to the definitive meaning of torma. The reason why it is called torma in torma is that it is called 'tor' because it is without grasping, and it is called 'ma' because it pervades all. It is called 'tor' because appearance and existence are offered as torma, and it is called 'ma' because there is no distinction. It is called 'tor' because the six realms are offered, and it is called 'ma' because it cuts off the precipice of the six realms. It is called 'tor' because duality is offered, and it is called 'ma' because there is no duality. It is called 'tor' because it arises without obstruction, and it is called 'ma' because there is no imputation. Awareness, the display of potential, is called 'tor', and the dissolution of potential into the ground is called 'ma'. It is called 'tor' because of the variety of appearances, and it is called 'ma' because it is gathered into one. It is called 'tor' because speech is limitless, and it is called 'ma' because it is unspeakable. It is called 'tor' because all dharmas are known as one, and it is called 'ma' because it is liberated from all dharmas. One liberation is all liberation, this is the definitive meaning of torma. Thus it was said. The nectar essence of the union of appearance and existence, from the tantra that cuts through the beginning and end of samsara, the chapter on explaining the definitive meaning of torma, the thirty-first chapter is complete. Then Vajrasattva asked Samantabhadra: What is the nakedness of dharmata, without the need for action, seeking, effort, or accomplishment? Thus he asked. Then the teacher Samantabhadra entered the samadhi of unchanging light. Having arisen from that, he spoke thus to the assembly: Heart
