If you do not receive the oral instructions with respect, even the secret lord Vajra will be lost, what need is there to mention disciples without vows? Thus it was said. From the great tantra equal to the edge of the sky, the seventeenth chapter, which teaches the activity of abandoning actions. Then, the noble being Vajra Sattva prayed as follows: For all the Buddhas of the three times, On the nature of the path free from going, Going will become a fault. From the beginning, the supreme place of awareness. Protector, what I pray to you is, The nature of the ground and path, free from entering and going, Please explain it to me with certainty. Thus he prayed. Then, the Thus-Gone One Vajra Sattva said this: O great being! The tantra equal to the edge of the sky, On the nature of the path free from going, Going will not become a fault, Because self-illuminating awareness arises manifestly, Without going, it is suppressed at once. Going is free from the place of the path, Going without going, the path is long. Self-born awareness ripens into one. Self-illuminating, it radiates and gathers in the light. Self-born essence, originally enlightened. Samsara is free from the cause of the path. The stream of samsara does not pass away from suffering. Both dissolve into the self-illuminating light. The supreme body of indivisible awareness. Unmoving awareness, self-illuminating words. Going and going reaches the end. Without self-illumination, there is no Dharma. Wisdom, clear light, without center or edge. Free from all grasping, not looking at anything. Light-arising, great bliss, all-pervading, clear words. Non-dual, free from extremes, the realm of Dharma. Not nirvana, nor samsara. Not Madhyamaka, nor both. On the unmade essence of peace. Searching and going is an artificial path. Sons of the Buddha without end. Because all ten directions are infinitely traversed. Awareness is self-illuminating, not outside the realm. That very nature is free from all experience. Clear light, wisdom, the realm of bliss. Vajrasattva, great joy, supreme. Undistracted, free from the tantra of signs. This is the self-born, wonderful, famous words. When the symbol of clear light awareness is met. Like the form of Shile Nalendra. Although it is similar to (Sanskrit: Śrī nālendra, IAST: Śrī nālendra), Like a mute tasting the joy of happiness. Free from the means of expressing words. All pervaded by the taste of great bliss. This unequal measure is free from end. There is no going on the path without going. The ten grounds and five paths are conceptual thoughts. Infinite Dharma realm.

Self-clarity! However one goes, that itself is the state, In the self-clear palace of the sky, How could blessings ever be exhausted? Self-clarity always abides in light, Suchness is clear in awareness, However it appears, that is suchness, However one looks, it is the realm of dharma, However self-clarity returns to itself, It is the Buddha-ground where there is no going, Unsought, self-clarity is the source of the path, Possessing the wheel of wisdom-awareness, Revolving in itself, it gathers into itself, Possessing the handle of speechlessness, That very suchness is the truth of mind, Pervasive awareness is without partiality, Not appearing outwardly, it pervades widely, Clarity is the essence of wisdom, Awareness, self-clear, is perfected in the expanse, Resting in itself, in the very expanse of wisdom, Clear, blazing awareness pierces and illuminates, Awareness, self-clear, is wisdom itself, If it were not, it would not arise, therefore it is the path, In the assembly of the self-arisen awareness-wheel, Proclaim the doctrine of speechless awareness, Awareness is the limit of the expanding sky, It reaches the expanse where there is no expansion or contraction, On the handle of self-arisen awareness, Non-dual awareness holds with excellence, Self-clarity, boundless, having been made firm, It abides in a state where there is no passing away, Even tens of thousands of clinging thoughts, Expand and gather in the clear light expanse, Thoughts are the truth of the wisdom expanse, Uniquely clear, whatever arises, That itself is self-arisen, do not look at anything, In oneself, look at oneself, do not see anything, Whatever difference of substance one goes through, Gold has never been other than itself, Whatever one goes through on the ground and the path, Self-clear awareness is free from going, The Akanishtha of awareness is the realm of dharma, Awareness, self-clear, is the place of blazing, It is the secret place of all the Buddhas, There is no other, from the beginning it is the truth of self-clarity, Samsara is wondrous, primordially enlightened, Like the garuda chick in the egg, Like the nature of the great ocean, Expanding and contracting, it meets in itself, In the essence, self-clear wisdom, It is free from all obscurations of the limits, The mandala of self-clear awareness, From the beginning it is like the essence of the sun, For sentient beings who do not understand it thus, The basis of confusion is made by the essence of wisdom, That itself is self-clear, possessing skillful means, Knowing that itself is the way to enlightenment, The Buddhas speak of it as only momentary, Both the basis-possessing and the momentary, Are the path of confusion, the dharma of perversion, Even the terms of confusion and perversion, Do not abide in things and mind, In the unmade essence of bodhichitta, The terms of all those
