Listen, all of you. Because there are no things, it is free from conceptualization. Because it pervades all, it is free from cessation. Because it is free from center and edge, it is the self-born body. The Dharmakaya is like the sky. With an inexpressible view, hold it in your memory. Without reversing its meaning, abide on the path of wisdom. On the view of self-awareness, look with the mind without distraction. But this is not an object, seeing oneself in oneself, it is clear within. When that is perfected through practice, it is the wisdom mind. The nature of reality is free from elaboration, without change. Self-born wisdom abides primordially. That itself is the supreme of inseparable view. Furthermore, listen to the essence of the wheel. In this dharma of samsara and nirvana, as long as the karmic imprints are not exhausted, all phenomena appear in this way. When the karmic imprints are purified, the objects of appearance are primordially non-existent. Like a rope mistaken for a snake, or a post mistaken for a person.

Vajrasattva again asked: How is it to meditate without meditating? What is the practice of continuous non-separation? All the fruits without hope or fear, I beseech the all-knowing teacher to explain. Having heard the meaning of this request, He spoke to the assembled gathering: The meditation of non-separation without meditation, Is with the support of the body of ripening, The ordinary ground of all. With the instructions of the oral transmission of dependent arising, Since one's own mind is introduced as the Dharmakaya, It is naturally clear without grasping at objects. There is no increase or decrease in the naturally abiding state, Separate from practice with respect to both object and mind. Without focusing on the middle or edges, it transcends thought. Since it is pure from the beginning, there is no action. Since it cannot be sought, it transcends the mind. Since it pervades everything, there is no need to seek it. There is no cessation, and awareness is empty. Since it is unmade, there is no destruction. Awareness is clear, so one knows one's own face. In suchness, there is no birth. Uncontrived, it does not change due to conditions. It is neither permanent nor annihilated, and there is no collection. It is not separate, and there is no mixing. The meditation of the insubstantial mind is clear. In the Dharmakaya without abandonment or acceptance, Neither dullness nor excitement arises, and it continuously abides. In the meaning of wisdom, there is no arising or ceasing. Listen also to the essence of the gathering. In this very self-aware wisdom, Since there is no meditation, there is no distraction. Since it cannot be grasped, it is clear to the mind. Have self-confidence and do not exceed words. Appearances and existence are clear, and there is no attachment. Self-aware observation is liberated from insubstantiality. There is no memory, loss, going, or coming. Whatever awareness of memory arises, There is no grasping at it from that very moment. Listen also to the essence of the gathering. Although one does not meditate in the realm of the mind, Since it is inseparable from the meaning of the view. The words of the Great Perfection Meaning United Awareness, from the Tantra of the Wheel of Self-Arisen Bliss, the twelfth chapter, Identifying the Meditation of Wisdom, is complete. Vajrasattva, listen also. The method of abiding in the recognized meaning, Is like a lamp dispelling darkness and manifesting light. That meditation of a moment, By destroying habitual patterns, ignorance is cleared. Due to the remembrance of the meaning itself, wisdom, It is not stained by afflictions or karma. Therefore, by remembering the instructions, Like awakening from illusion, one is free from confusion. By knowing the meaning that is free from conceptual signs, Nondiscursive wisdom abides in the essence. Listen also to the essence of the gathering. Knowing the basis of samsara and nirvana, Self-arisen, free from exaggeration and denigration whether meditating or not meditating, that nature
