Necessary. All sentient beings who desire enlightenment, Seeking meaning from within the basis of all, Let them abide in that state. That is the intention of the Buddhas. The essence of the Sugatas, Although present in the hearts of all sentient beings, Is unseen due to ignorance. In order to definitely see it, For that crucial instruction, Wisdom is never separate. Again, listen to the essence of the gathering. Although there is the delusion of ignorance, The fruition Buddha abides in the heart. Therefore, it does not come from elsewhere. This very moment is without beginning, And that self-aware wisdom, Is like oil pervading sesame seeds. Self-awareness pervades all six realms, Continuously abiding without birth or cessation. Like the foundation of the earth and the sky, It abides as the Dharmakaya without coming or going. Not understanding this meaning, deluded by the mind, Although wandering in samsara, there is no fear. That self-arisen wisdom of awareness, Is like the sun in a cloudless sky. In the midst of the unconditioned expanse, Self-aware wisdom, the Dharmakaya, resides. Like a precious amulet box, Light dissolving, The Dharmakaya is within the body. When the body disintegrates, it merges into memory. Therefore, the continuum of samsara keeps turning. Realizing the meaning, self-awareness abides in a supreme state. That nature of self-arisen awareness, Abides in the minds of all sentient beings. Therefore, it is the basis of all samsara and nirvana. The words of the Great Perfection, the wisdom of spontaneous presence, From the Tantra of the Wheel of Self-Arisen Bliss, The fifth chapter, which reveals the abiding nature to all sentient beings. Then Vajrasattva, Again asked Kunrig, the Lord: How can one realize the abiding nature of meaning? How are the five paths, which are not traversed, completed? What are the qualities of the grounds and the other shore? Please, Kunzang, the teacher, explain. Hearing the meaning of the question, the Buddha replied: I will explain this meaning, listen with your mind. To a lama who possesses definite lineage, With faith, diligence, and vows, By honoring, serving, and respecting, The essential instructions will be granted. Again, listen to the essence of the gathering. For example, like a Brahmin elephant, Relying on the king's command, By seduction, intimidation, and deceit, desiring wealth, It cannot benefit without life and essence. Similarly, if one without definite lineage, Does not reveal the essential Dharmakaya, Even with various methods and deceptions, Seeking Dharma with the fault of stealing teachings, One will not realize one's own mind and will fall into the lower realms. Again, listen to the essence of the gathering. Shoulder

Without doubt, with a virtuous mind, when offering the life-essence to the king, two Brahmins resembling golden bulls appeared, both of whom had their wishes fulfilled. Similarly, to a Lama who possesses the lineage, offer pleasing things and listen to their teachings. To one who is sharp in wisdom and able to keep secrets, for the sake of bestowing the pith instructions, the disciple will surely realize their own mind. Therefore, it is essential to revere the Lama. This is spoken in the context of ultimate secrets. The words of the Great Perfection, the Wisdom of Meaning Gathered, from the Tantra of the Self-Arisen Wheel of Bliss, is the sixth chapter on showing the means to realize the ultimate meaning. Then, the All-Knowing Teacher spoke to the assembled retinue: Holding onto what is non-existent as existent is the object of complete imputation, the difficult-to-reverse delusion of the collection of destructible views, deceiving oneself, the stream of attachment. To reverse this, the five paths are taught. So, listen to the essence of the gathering: One with faith, immutability, and karma, to a Vajra Master who possesses the lineage, offering pleasing things without stinginess, this is taught as the Path of Accumulation. The Lama's bestowal transforms into blessings, abandoning dualistic thoughts and doubts, when offering to the Dakinis and requesting meaning, this is called the Path of Application. Furthermore, listen to Vajrasattva: By a Vajra Master with certainty, with correct pith instructions prophesied, in order for a vessel to generate faith and realize meaning, it is said to be the Path of Seeing. By understanding that meaning, constantly abiding in the ultimate Dharmakaya without distraction, in order to obtain mastery over self-aware wisdom, it is taught as the Path of Meditation. This correct ultimate secret instruction, by perfecting the meaning in one's own heart, in the unchanging confidence of the wisdom space, it is taught as the Path of Culmination. Furthermore, listen to the essence of the gathering: On the correct meaning of Dharmata, although there is no difference in paths, on the stages of the yogi's mind, due to the different divisions of vehicles, the divisions of the five paths are ultimately perfected into one. The words of the Great Perfection, the Wisdom of Meaning Gathered, from the Tantra of the Self-Arisen Wheel of Bliss, is the seventh chapter on showing the perfection of the five paths without traversing. Then, the All-Knowing Teacher spoke to the assembled gathering: The divisions of the grounds, with basis and example, are taught as four from the perspective of ability. Combining the ten perfections with the grounds, the qualities of complete certainty are taught. So, listen to the essence of the gathering: The first ground is the Joyful Ground.
