arises. Therefore, it is a fruit without a cause. Again, listen to the essence of the gathering. The essence is one, without difference, Like a face and a reflection in a mirror. The power of the Dharmakaya is the two Rupakayas. It arises spontaneously without accumulating merit. Although the three bodies have different purposes, They exist from the beginning without cause or condition. Therefore, the self-existing power of the Dharmakaya, Manifests in various visible appearances. In that very moment, it is free from cause and condition, Like the sky itself. The Great Perfection, the gathering of all definitive meanings, from the Tantra of Wisdom Equal to the Sky, the chapter on showing the fruit that does not arise from a cause, the one hundred and second. Then, to the assembled retinue, The King of Dharma, Kunrig (ཀུན་རིག་,Sarvavid, 一切知者), spoke: The oral instructions that do not rely on scripture, He bestowed upon the faithful retinue. The wisdom body of all Buddhas, Arises from realizing the self-born essence. Like the uncompounded sky, Before anything existed, The basis of the self-born essence. The oral instruction Dharma that does not rely on scripture, Because one's own awareness realizes itself, Never having been deluded, nor having been realized. At that time, there is no samsara or nirvana. In the self-born awareness of the base-knowing, Because there is no ignorance from the beginning, Because one has never been deluded by conditions, There is no need to be shown by those with scripture. Therefore, the Dharma that does not arise from scripture, Is a wondrous and amazing teaching. All Buddhas are born from it. Now, listen again to the essence of the gathering. For the self-born Kuntuzangpo (ཀུན་ཏུ་བཟང་པོ།,Samantabhadra, 普贤), Because there is no object and no grasping, Primordial awareness dawns in itself. At that very moment, ignorance is purified. Therefore, it is called the Dharma of the definitive meaning essence, Which does not arise from scripture. Now, listen again to the essence of the gathering. Because there is no Kuntuzangpo teacher, There is no scripture that explains all inner and outer Dharmas. Therefore, not relying on others, Because one knows through one's own awareness, The oral instruction Dharma does not rely on scripture. It is the way of realization of the Victorious Ones. Now, listen again to the essence of the gathering. Not relying on scripture, in the Dharmakaya, One cannot find it by searching in samsara, Therefore, become the Buddha Kuntuzangpo. Because it is not stained by all habitual tendencies, Because there is no conceptual thought, wisdom increases. It is the oral instruction that does not rely on scripture. Therefore, it is the ancestor who generates All the qualities of the Buddhas of the three times, Without exception. Now, listen again, Vajrasattva.

By the three emanations of Kunsang, through the doors of body, speech, and mind, even the teachings of the nine vehicles are explained. However, this Dharma does not rely on scriptural authority; it arises through blessings. It is transmitted definitively from the heart. If one realizes this heart essence instruction, realization will manifest, and one will become a Buddha. Without it, all Dharmas are tainted by scriptural authority like a monkey. All the Dharmas of the nine vehicles are created by conditions; therefore, they are not the definitive word. Consequently, methods of accomplishment, teachings, and so forth, all contrived Dharmas are utterly mistaken. Composed by them, claiming to be scholars, even if they speak much praise and history, scriptural authority like a monkey taints the sacred Dharma, like mixing water and milk. Therefore, relying on evil scriptural authority like a monkey, one will lose the path and be seized by delusion. Therefore, one will experience various sufferings, and there will be no end to samsara. Dzogchen, in which all definitive meanings are gathered. From the tantra that is equal to the wisdom of space, the chapter that teaches the instruction that does not rely on scriptural authority is the one hundred and twenty-third. The all-knowing teacher, Dharma Lord, said, "This is the unerring intention of the Buddha, residing in all sentient beings, unborn from causes and conditions, self-arisen. The definitive instruction with scriptural authority is wisdom without increase or decrease. Now, listen again to the essence of the gathering. First, in samsara, nirvana, and the bardo, the realization of the wisdom of Kunsang, the self-arisen nature slightly arises. Merely by the awareness of the definitive meaning, it dawns. Trust in the meaning does not change. Realization and Buddhahood occur simultaneously. The beginning and end of samsara and nirvana are cut off at the same time. Therefore, it is the ancestor of the Buddhas. Now, listen again to Vajrasattva. The self-arisen nature body, in the bardo of faith and wisdom, and the two of birth and death, the excellent lama with scriptural authority, naturally trusts in the meaning of what is taught, like finding a precious jewel. One with capacity and fortune realizes it. It does not contradict or conflict with the definitive teachings. Because it is inseparable from the Dharmakaya, one does not take rebirth, possessing wisdom. The two form bodies benefit beings. Now, listen again to Vajrasattva. Not arising from effortful practice, it relies entirely on the self-arisen path. That Dharmakaya, not born from external objects, is sufficient to be realized by the conditions of scriptural authority. Relying on Vajrasattva's
