Equal wisdom is obscured by ignorance, With discernment and recognition, faith arises, Having the experience of inseparable self-awareness, Since there is no ignorance, there is no equanimity. The fruit of superior seeing is seen as truth. Now listen again, Vajrasattva, The three consciousnesses: cognition, alaya, and knowledge, Because they are unindicated, they are the cause of samsara. Therefore, the latent tendencies of ignorance, This is said to be the place of deviation without indication. Now listen again, Vajrasattva, The first cognition is unindicated, Because the three, quiescence, abiding, and ignorance, obscure it, Therefore, it is the root of samsara, It is said to be the place of deviation for all dharmas. The instruction for not deviating there is, To recognize the self-nature of the initially self-arisen, Ignorance is cleared, possessing definite scriptural authority, Equanimity overcomes circumstances, possessing superior seeing. The wisdom of meditating on that very thing is, Because the basis of the beginning is recognizing self-nature, The three aspects of ignorance are purified from the root, Because the basis of samsara is unborn, The habitual tendencies and afflictions dissipate like clouds. Now listen again to the essence of accumulation, The second, the alaya consciousness, is unindicated, The world, together with the body, is dazed and confused, Neither quiescence abiding nor superior seeing exists, Because it is delusion, it is the cause of animals. The instruction for not deviating there is, If discernment and recognition grasp the meaning, Not remembering virtue or vice, remembering the dharmakaya, Wisdom arises in the bindu, overcoming circumstances. The truth of that very thing is to prevent it, The thoughts of before and after are purified from the root, Knowing this human body as the dharmakaya, Without ignorance, one overcomes all circumstances. Now listen again, Vajrasattva, The consciousness in the bardo is unindicated, Because there is ignorance without a body, Because there are no six realms, it is an ordinary person, The habitual tendencies are the basis, the cause of samsara, Because it takes a body, it is said to be the place of deviation. I will explain how not to deviate there, When faith possesses a human body, The dharmakaya Possessing scriptural authority, faith arises, Without deviation, overcoming circumstances, without change. The definitive meaning of meditating on that very thing is, Even just by knowing the instruction, The dharmakaya that transcends objects and mind manifests, Unchanging by circumstances, like the sky. The Great Perfection, the collection of all definitive meanings, from the tantra of wisdom equal to space, the chapter on showing how beings can overcome circumstances in the wisdom of equanimity, superior seeing, and awareness, the one hundred and fifty-fifth is complete. Then, the all-knowing teacher bestowed the instruction on the essence of the accumulation of the faithful, the wisdom dissolving into the expanse, sleep is the dharmakaya dissolving into the expanse, habitual tendencies, quiescence abiding, ignorance.

Therefore, being attached to the three types of dreams to external objects, one can understand only when awake. Only then will the experience be clear, and in reality, one will understand that dreams have no substance, and the result will appear as the inconceivable Dharmakaya. Now listen again to the essence of the gathering, when a devoted yogi falls asleep, dreams do not foretell good or bad, they only reveal the continuation of habitual tendencies. When various dreams occur, cherish dissolving into the wisdom space. Now listen again to Vajrasattva, what was said earlier about the deeds of the first half of life, because one does not understand that they are habitual tendencies, therefore one establishes a mind of remembrance afterwards, and because one is attached to this, it is said to be a wrong path. For this, experience the unseen doer, not understanding the meaning of the connection of what is dreamed, for the dormant ignorance, various clinging thoughts arise. The prophecies of worldly gods, whatever is dreamed, good or bad, is taken as true, if it is seen as supreme, it is because of Mara, and because of attachment, one cannot prevent obstacles. Now listen again to the essence of the gathering, the instruction for not falling into error is, whichever of the three types of dreams occurs, it is a prediction of the connection of habitual tendencies, because one understands that it is a past habit, therefore afterwards one does not interrupt, but remembers the Dharmakaya. In the wisdom space, all obstacles can be prevented, if this is kept in mind, at the time of waking up, without interrupting whatever is dreamed, with self-illuminating wisdom awareness, abiding in the state of remembering the Dharmakaya, one can eliminate attachment, prevent obstacles, and abide in the wisdom space. Now listen again to the essence of the gathering, these instructions in brief are, when a devoted yogi wakes up, before any realization has arisen, by remembering the meaning of the ultimate Dharmakaya, one can prevent obstacles and abide in the Dharmakaya. Therefore, the instruction is to cherish remembrance. The Great Perfection, the gathering of all ultimate meanings, from the tantra of wisdom equal to space, the chapter on preventing obstacles by dissolving sleep into the wisdom space, the one hundred and fifty-sixth chapter. Then, to the faithful of the gathering, the omniscient teacher, the Dharma King, taught the self-liberation of suffering, for suffering such as ignorance, hatred, desire, pride, and jealousy, by applying the medicine of instruction, one can self-liberate the five poisons and prevent obstacles. Now listen again to the essence of the gathering, ignorance darkens one's own mind, even if one examines it, one cannot understand, and one will be lost in the root, just as the sun is obscured by clouds, one cannot recognize anything, it is the cause of samsara. The instruction for not falling into it is:
