Like a wild animal, wandering everywhere. The Great Perfection, the collection of all true meanings, from the Tantra of Wisdom Equal to Space, the chapter on showing the nine gates of transgression, which is the ninety-first chapter. The teaching summarized, which is the nineteenth chapter. Then, the assembled sangha, in order to ask the all-knowing teacher Dharma King about the differences in the paths, prayed with a true mind thus: What is the self-born without wisdom? Whose mind is it that lacks both? What is the perfection of self-born wisdom? After asking thus, the teacher, in order to listen to the meaning, taught to the retinue: With great self-born wisdom, I will explain the difference between yes and no, listen carefully and grasp it well. The self-born without wisdom is the basis of both samsara and nirvana, the nature body has no action, the empty clear awareness pervades widely, not born from causes and conditions but self-born, awareness and non-awareness, distraction and non-distraction, not confirmed in any place. Because there is no scripture, therefore in wisdom, samsara, nirvana, and bardo are all self-born, why is it undivided and unknowable? In oneself, one does not understand the meaning of oneself, it is the basis of the previously spontaneously accomplished meaning, it is the root of all dharmas, although oneself has wisdom, because it is not realized, it is not wisdom, it is not ignorance, not confusion, nor sentient being. The memory that lacks both, when awareness is dazed and exists, is held by the memory of feeling and non-feeling, although it abides in the hearts of all sentient beings, because it is not revealed, it is not wisdom, like a blind person who has not met an ophthalmologist. The Great Perfection, the collection of all true meanings, from the Tantra of Wisdom Equal to Space, the chapter on showing that although it is self-born, it is not wisdom, which is the ninety-second chapter. Then, listen to the essence of the retinue, regarding the non-self-born wisdom, especially remembering and teaching: The non-self-born wisdom is the five wisdoms transformed from the eight consciousnesses, because it is born from the causes and conditions of arising, therefore it is not the self-born that naturally abides. Now listen again to the essence of the retinue, at the time of non-prediction, there was not even a name called wisdom, in the bardo between birth and death, the wisdom with definitive scripture, has an end but no beginning. The so-called mirror wisdom, when not realized, does not exist, when realized, it exists, if born from causes and conditions, it is not self-born, therefore mirror wisdom is also suddenly arisen.

Also, it is not wisdom. Equality is individually realized, and the four wisdoms that accomplish activities, like the sun and its rays, are the manifestation of the Dharmadhatu wisdom, and the four wisdoms arise as abilities. The five wisdoms are not present in the ground. Therefore, it is not self-arisen awareness. Now, Vajrasattva, listen. From beings' inclinations being guided, the five wisdoms of number are present in words but not in meaning. If the wisdom of the ground is not known, it is like mistaking copper for gold. The Great Perfection, the entirety of definitive meaning gathered, in the tantra where wisdom is equal to space, is the ninety-third chapter, which teaches the wisdom that is without self-origination. Then, the all-knowing teacher declared to the assembled retinue that both wisdom and self-origination are absent. The initial ground of consciousness is not prophesied. From that, ignorance arises from four conditions. Because there is no scripture, it is not wisdom. Now listen to the essence of the gathering. The meaning of birth, death, and the bardo is not understood. From the alaya, dualistic imprints arise, and various non-virtues are accumulated. Without understanding what harms the ground, neither wisdom nor self-origination exists. From that, those with definite faults are attached to the ground because they are confused about the ground. They grasp at non-existence as if it were real. They regard the eight worldly dharmas as supreme. They see non-existence as existence, like the color of a rabbit's horn. The Great Perfection, the entirety of definitive meaning gathered,
