Therefore, for the groundless Dharmakaya, because it is filled with self-aware wisdom, because there is no appearance, there is no clinging. Clear but without clinging, unmoving, it is said to be the intention of all Buddhas. Now listen again, Vajrasattva. The cause of grasping one's own mind as an object is the seed of samsara, ignorance. Suffering arises from cause and condition. Therefore, the deluded, ignorant mind is the cause of grasping, clinging, sinking, and floating. Greed and hatred arise depending on objects. The cause and condition of samsara are the two confused minds. One and not one, for the sake of diligent action, the edge of samsara is endless. Therefore, if one realizes the meaning of self-awareness, how can this object without mind exist? Therefore, this essence of one's own mind, because it transcends the object of mind, one and not one, the realm of speech, the ignorant mind has object and mind. Those with wrong views hold it as supreme. Therefore, the Dharma of sound and measure, diligently examined by a monkey-like mind, all Dharmas arise from the dispute of object and mind. Now listen again to the essence of the gathering. For the Buddha of true knowledge, who possesses definite instructions and advice, the self-aware Dharmakaya is separate from mind. Therefore, objectless awareness wanders. By understanding the definite instructions, object and mind are destroyed. Now listen again to the essence of the gathering. This, too, is the root, briefly summarized. Like the sunrise without darkness, by realizing the meaning of the self-born Dharmakaya, faults, obscurations, object, and mind are purified from the root. Therefore, the self-born wisdom body, because it has no change in the three times, is the unerring, true, manifest enlightenment. Therefore, it is enough to realize the definitive meaning. The Great Perfection, the definitive meaning, is the gathering of all. From the Tantra of Wisdom Equal to Space, the forty-second chapter, which shows the distinction on the basis of object and mind, is complete. Then, to the assembled retinue, the king of the all-illuminating mind, proclaimed the teachings of the distinction between cause and effect. In the essence of true definitive meaning, because it is not defiled by diligent action, the cause and the effect are one in essence. The essence of self-born awareness, like a precious jewel, the desired and needed results are simultaneously complete. Likewise, the definitive meaning of the Dharmakaya, just by realization, the definitive meaning is complete. Listen also to the essence of this gathering. If it is in accordance with the gates of other vehicles, for the time being, those who speak of cause and condition, the cause is the self-born essence, the condition is the Lama who possesses the instructions.

Seek. When realizing the fruit of wisdom, because there is no difference, cause and effect are one. Now, listen again, Vajrasattva. The dharmas of other vehicles, that cause and effect, are not at the same time, but are sought gradually. Because it is diligent practice, it is the cause of samsara. Obtaining temporary happiness is not ultimate. Cause and effect arise sequentially, taught in the wrong path. For example, like things that are made, impermanent and quickly destroyed. All dharmas made by causes and conditions are wrong, and the fruit does not arise like watering trees. Now, listen again to the essence of samsara and nirvana. The root meaning of that is summarized: like the ornaments of a snake, cause and effect are ultimately perfected from the beginning. Likewise, in the essence of all dharmas, great qualities naturally arise. Because cause and effect are one, it is spontaneously accomplished. The Great Perfection, all definitive meanings are gathered here. From the tantra of wisdom equal to space, the chapter explaining the distinction between the meanings of cause and effect is the forty-third. Then, to the assembled gathering, the King of All-Knowing Mind, especially intending to distinguish between what can be meditated on and what cannot, spoke. If the definitive meaning is not mistaken and coincides with the meaning, then without meditation, Buddhahood will occur now. The self-born Dharmakaya is primordially existent, and there is nothing to meditate on in the essence of Bodhicitta. Now, listen again to the essence of the gathering. Therefore, the nature of reality is pure from the beginning. The meaning of my, Kuntuzangpo's, intention, the five kinds of unerring instructions, the meaning of the essence of one's own mind without effort, is explained for the fortunate ones to realize. Now, listen again, Vajrasattva. How is the intention of the Buddhas? The means for sentient beings to realize with their minds, cannot be illustrated by examples and without arising, even with just the instructions being shown, without meditation, even now, because the definitive meaning is realized, the meaning of no meditation, without meditation, the inseparable mind of the Buddhas. Being equal to the mind of Kuntuzangpo, the inseparable, condition-resistant instructions, without needing to meditate, with the instructions, cause the faithful future generations to realize. Now, listen again, Vajrasattva. For those without the fortune of definitive meaning instructions, whose minds are not certain in peaceful abiding, the path of abiding that can be meditated on, show it to the retinue and listen with your mind. Who is afraid of the unmeditated? Bestow the three empowerments sequentially. The definitive meaning is experienced, and one becomes confident and certain. Therefore, one's own mind is the intention, abide there and know.
