。 Inherent nature has no increase or decrease, it is without birth or death, and constantly abides. In the Dharmakaya of sentient beings' time, there is not even a speck more than that. Therefore, it is said to be truly existent. Now listen to the essence of the collection again. If the three times are unchanging, and everything is desired to be the Dharmakaya, it contradicts both scripture and reason, and becomes a conceptualization of accumulation. If it exists, what is the difference from permanence? This is not contradictory to the meaning, for everything collected into the Dharmakaya is not a collection after gathering, like the sweetness of sunlight and sugarcane. Because it is complete at once, it is the Dharmakaya, just as inherent nature naturally abides. Since it is not a gathering of causes and conditions, how does it contradict scripture and reason? For that which has no color or shape, how can the fault of permanence taint it? For that which is unchanging and has always abided, if it is said to be permanent, it is difficult to be permanent. The Dharmakaya being unchanging is what is desired. Because the Dharmakaya is constant and primordially existent, the fault of annihilation never taints it. Because there are no things with characteristics, I have no constant solidity. Therefore, both are free from faults and abide. Now listen to Vajrasattva again. Because this Dharma is extremely secret, it is not the object of the five senses. Therefore, the Dharmakaya is beyond expression, and is separated from all conceptual terms. Therefore, it transcends the realm of the mind. In the wisdom of self-arisen awareness, all expressions with words are wrong. The Great Perfection, the collection of all definitive meanings, from the Tantra of Wisdom Equal to Space, the twenty-fourth chapter, which explains the distinctions of Yangti Shen. Then, the All-Knowing Teacher spoke to the assembled retinue: The path of the Hearers and the treatises on the result, life is earlier and earlier, whatever virtuous or non-virtuous actions are done, the body that is now taken, happiness and suffering both arise at this time. Fearing to fall into samsara in the future, after abandoning evil and practicing virtue, one obtains the fruit of the status of gods and humans. Now listen to the essence of the collection again. If one practices virtue by gathering causes and conditions, that action will obtain the fruit at the time, accomplishing the ultimate benefit of others, until the fruit of Buddhahood is obtained, relying on the abode of higher realms, on the ladder of gods and humans, gradually ascending and becoming a Buddha. Now listen to the essence of the collection again. You are Yangti Great Perfection, not relying on anything, but only on realization.

Enough said. If one desires fruit without complete causes and conditions, one will fall into the extreme of emptiness. This is extremely contradictory to both scripture and reason. Therefore, one should engage in accumulating merit. To obtain the fruit of gods and humans, it is not enough to merely realize one's own mind. Even if one has accumulated merit, one relies on the extreme of nirvana. If one meditates with single-pointed concentration, to obtain the fruit of omniscience, which is wisdom, you so-called "Yandis" and Dzogchen practitioners who say, "Merely realizing the nature of mind is enough," even if liberated from samsara, will fall into the extreme of nirvana. With the fruit of that path, one cannot attain Buddhahood. Therefore, to obtain the unsurpassed fruit of enlightenment, the cause is the ground and the perfections. If one can gradually progress on the path, then the fruit of benefiting others will be perfect, and one will obtain the two form bodies. Even if one meditates single-pointedly on non-conceptual wisdom without distraction, one will only accomplish the Dharmakaya for one's own benefit. Now listen again, Vajrasattva. To obtain the perfect fruit of benefit for oneself and others, there is no closer path of great means than this. They say there is none in other dharmata. Those distinctions of methods for accumulating merit, based on great compassion, because they are explained in detail in other vehicles, I have not spoken of in the context of definitive meaning. Now listen again, Vajrasattva. The tenets desired in the outer and inner tantras, the difference between the path and the fruit lies in, if skillful means and wisdom are united, one will find the fruit of great qualities. To obtain the fruit of omniscience, which is wisdom, one must have both skillful means and wisdom. Therefore, what are skillful means? In this degenerate age of the present time, because the profound meaning of definitive meaning is neglected, and one is deceived by ignorant fools, they gather male and female fluids, saying it is the path to maturation, and that outer and inner secret empowerments are necessary. Leading desire into the path, in order to transform all the aggregates, elements, and sense bases into the abodes of deities and consorts, gradually generating and completing the ungenerated, even if with three or seven rituals, generating and transforming the wisdom mind, invoking, gathering, and making offerings, etc., are done in accordance with the scriptures, but when the ultimate fruit is obtained, even if the two form bodies arise, one can only reach below the level of a Bodhisattva, even sentient beings.
