Now, I pray thus: With the definitive instructions that possess the scriptures, What are the antidotes to subdue the demons, the examples, and the meanings? How are the knots of ignorance untied? What are the reasons for dispelling both internally and externally? What are the wrong paths of phenomenal objects? I beseech the King of Equality to explain. Having heard the meaning of such a request, He bestowed the antidotes: The infallible antidotes from examples, The infallible antidotes from meanings, The infallible antidotes from signs, I will explain, listen well. Among them, the antidotes from examples are: A rope can be mistaken for a snake, But a high object cannot be mistaken for a snake. When not indicated, one may err, But there is no error on the basis of self-nature. Just as a rope is not mistaken for a person, There is no error on the basis of realization. Now listen to the essence of the gathering: A female donkey may be mistaken for a horse, But a bird cannot be mistaken for a horse. An object may be mistaken for mind, But awareness cannot be mistaken for matter. The five elements have no awareness, Therefore, objects and mind are unrelated. Now listen to Vajrasattva: The teaching of the antidotes of meaning is: When knowledge is not indicated, Sentient beings of the six realms arise in error, The spontaneously accomplished Buddha has never erred. Therefore, there is no error on the basis. Just as one knows that a rabbit has no horns, There is no error in understanding the meaning in reverse. From similarity, one may err into existence, Because the mind errs into objects, Various grasping and clinging arise. Only in that way does it not exist in meaning, Only in that way is it the antidote of meaning. Now listen to the essence of the gathering: With this definitive antidote of signs, The yogi who possesses the definitive scriptures, Cannot have ordinary errors. All the marks and signs of the Buddha, Cannot be mistaken for an ordinary body. This omniscient wisdom, Cannot be mistaken for ignorant delusion. With the definitive instructions that possess the scriptures, One will not wander in the three realms of samsara. Because of practicing in accordance with the basis, One will not take future births. If one knows the meaning of sleep dissolving into the expanse, Darkness will not arise in the bardo. When the form body arises without seeking, There is no need to perform virtuous deeds beforehand. The meaning of the agreement that all the intentions of the Buddhas are gathered into one Dharmakaya. From the Tantra of the Precious Source of All Qualities, the chapter on teaching the antidotes of definitive signs.

This is the nineteenth (chapter). Furthermore, listen to the essence of the collection! The wisdom that dispels ignorance, in the awareness without negation or affirmation, dispels attachment to the ground. Pacifying the doubt of hesitation, it is dispelled by the conviction of view. With the memory of self-liberation of instructions, it dispels the confusion of the past, present, and future. With the Dharmakaya perfected as one, it is liberated from the extremes of grasping at cause and effect. With the mind abiding in the state of intention, it is liberated from the subtle phenomena of complete fabrication. Furthermore, listen to the essence of the collection! Again, with the single drop of the unique Thigle, it is liberated from the desired teachings of the nine vehicles. With no constant cessation or partiality, it is liberated from the extremes of self-desire and arrogance. With the ungrasping, self-arisen great medicine, it is liberated from the disease of the abyss of Samsara. Furthermore, listen to the essence of the collection! Of the eight kinds of distinctions without confusion, all attachments and confusions are eliminated from the root. Therefore, by knowing one Dharmata, all confusions and ignorance are emptied at once. The meaning of the decree that all Buddhas' intentions are gathered into one Dharmakaya. From the Tantra of "The Source of All Virtues, the Jewel," the chapter that teaches how to dispel ignorance, demonic grasping, and confusion, is the twentieth chapter. Then, listen to the essence of the collection! The common outer sign is the reason: Because the nature of space is unborn, it is inherently self-arisen emptiness. It cannot be destroyed or shattered by conditions, therefore it is self-arisen and unborn. From that nature, the four great elements, hair unceasing, appear in any way. Karma, conditions, and imprints increase, seeing benefit and harm, good and evil, as two. The elements are unceasing like space, because appearance and emptiness are non-dual and inseparable. Therefore, the essence is not two. Originally non-dual, naturally empty. Thus, realizing one's own mind, there is no awareness of the five elements of the object. Therefore, the grasped and the grasper are liberated in their own place. The essence has no object. Also, listen, Vajrasattva! The uncommon inner view is, in the unborn emptiness of one's own mind, there are no signs of color or shape. Therefore, it is self-arisen and unborn. Self-arisen, unborn, is inherently existent. In that, the unceasing memory and awareness, the clear awareness is continuous. Whatever is remembered, the unceasing play is known, just that itself arises as Dharmakaya. The emptiness of mind and awareness, the two, are not separate, but one nature.
