Seventeenth Chapter. Then Vajrasattva, to Kunsang himself, made this request: "With the great means of reversing delusion, how does one realize the purity of the vessel and essence? How does one distinguish self-arisen wisdom? How, in the end, does one destroy samsara? King Kuntuzangpo, please explain." Having heard the meaning of this request, he spoke to the assembled retinue: "The great means of reversing delusion are the three: faith, diligence, and samaya. Know these as the means to realization. Furthermore, listen to the essence of the retinue. Just as the Brahmin Zla Pal, to a virtuous and meaningful lama, without regard for body or life, respectfully received the instructions. For example, like a hermit with a wind disease, listening to the words of a doctor, when the unity of samsara and nirvana is taught, ask without fear or apprehension. Like a woman not defiled by others, giving birth to a child at the right time, with unwavering faith, realize the meaning of self-mind and the benefit of others. Now again, listen to the essence of the assembly. Because the root of samsara and nirvana is one, with the diligence of a lion, ask for the instructions on the root of samsara and nirvana, which you do not understand in terms of mantra and characteristics. Like an elephant that does not retreat and destroys enemies, without scrutinizing the lama's conduct, contemplate the meaning of the instructions on the nature of reality. With unwavering diligence, cut through doubt. Like the hands and feet of Sakya Tze, in all your actions, without being distracted from the meaning, constantly remember it in your mind. Now again, listen to the essence of the retinue. Great compassion and samaya, just as a child cannot be born without a mother, if you do not realize your own mind, then buddhahood, searched for in the three times, will not be found. Therefore, do not seek it outside of this ordinary mind. Just as a shadow cannot be found without a form, beyond abandoning the five poisons, there is not even the name of buddhahood. Realizing that very nature is the Dharmakaya. For example, like copper, iron, and so on, being touched by gold-transforming essence, the five poisons of your own mind, realize through being touched by the essence of the instructions. Like reciting mantras over poison, without removing the poison, it transforms into medicine, through the meaning of non-affirmation and non-negation, the five poisons arise as the nature of wisdom. Like a person who has found a precious jewel, not needing worldly farming, after realizing the meaning of the unmeditated mind, not straying from that is samaya. The innermost essence of the Great Perfection view: the vast expanse of space.

From the tantra, the eighteenth chapter, which shows the means to dispel delusion. Then, to the assembled retinue, the great self-born wisdom said: "I will explain the difference between what is and what is not, listen with your mind and hold it well. That which is not wisdom, the self-born, although it exists in all sentient beings, is not wisdom because it is not realized, like a blind person who has not found an eye doctor. Those who believe that the wisdom without self-birth transforms into the five wisdoms, it is not self-born because it transforms due to conditions, like mistaking copper for gold. That which is not self-born wisdom is dualistic consciousness, alaya consciousness, and sudden causes, because of the confusion of consciousness, both are not, like the color of a rabbit's horn. The reason why self-born wisdom is, is that it arises from wisdom vipashyana, the self-born that has always been there, because it is realized by the cause of having lineage. The perfection of self-born wisdom is said to be like clarified butter being refined again. The essence of the view of the Great Perfection. From the tantra of the vast expanse of space, the nineteenth chapter, which shows the differences of self-born wisdom. Then, to the assembled retinue, the King of All-Knowing said: "With the lineage-holding lama's instructions, when the essence of one's own mind, the dharmakaya, is pointed out, it is immediately understood, it is impossible to know before it is pointed out. Now listen again to the essence of the assembly, the self-aware wisdom, the great light, without coming or going, destroys samsara. Wisdom arises from the reversal of ignorance, samsara is reversed and nirvana is attained. Wisdom is spontaneously accomplished without cultivation, experience arises in accordance with the meaning, even if cultivated, that wisdom arises, therefore, experience is extremely important. The essence of the view of the Great Perfection. From the tantra of the vast expanse of space, the twentieth chapter, which shows the ultimate self-destruction of samsara. Then, Vajrasattva, with the recollection of his mind, prayed to the King of All-Knowing Mind, saying: "With the definitive meaning-conforming instructions, what is the supreme body of essential nature? How is the appearance of the dharmadhatu? How does one's own mind merge with the dharmakaya? How does one practice inseparable union? What are the openings and prohibitions of the four secrets? How does one transform in non-meditation? Please, King of Equality, explain." Having heard the meaning of the request, he said: "My dharmata reality is, before there are sentient beings, I
