How does suffering arise? Without attaining the path of liberation, one is born and dies again. Now listen to the essence of gathering again. The alaya, which dwells in all sentient beings, although it is the basis of samsara, it is not the basis of the dharmakaya. Therefore, the alaya is accumulated, and it wanders under the power of karma. It is caught in the edge of the four rivers, and without being saved, there is no possibility of liberation. From the Dzogchen, the Dharmakaya, the unborn wisdom lineage that cuts off the root of samsara, the tenth chapter, which shows where samsara now abides. Vajrasattva again asked: The great method of reversing delusion is, with faith, diligence, samaya, and the distinction of self-born wisdom, where will samsara ultimately go? Please, King of All Knowing, explain. Hearing the meaning of the question, he commanded: Those who wish to reverse ignorance and delusion, understand the meaning of ignorance with the two, samsara and nirvana, the method of realizing the essence of one's own mind, without regard for life, with faith, with a fearless mind, without doubt, report the root of samsara and nirvana to the nature. With great and courageous diligence, believing that one will never turn back, without distraction, without interruption. Now listen to the essence of gathering again. Do not seek the meaning of what is not understood outside the mind, understand the nature of reality without abandoning the five poisons, knowing this, there is no mistake even if you do not meditate. Now listen to the essence of gathering again. With the yes and no of self-born wisdom, if you distinguish, there are four kinds of meanings. With the oral instructions of a qualified lama, point out the essence of one's own mind, the dharmakaya, if pointed out, one will know immediately, if not pointed out, one cannot know. Now listen to the essence of gathering again. Self-aware wisdom, great light, without coming and going, destroys samsara. When ignorance is reversed, wisdom arises. When samsara is reversed, nirvana is attained. Knowing this, it is naturally accomplished without meditation. With an experience that matches the meaning, even if you meditate, this definite understanding will arise. Therefore, realization is extremely important. The Great Perfection,

Having heard these words, he addressed the assembled retinue: 'My Dharma nature and reality is that the essence of meaning is self-arisen. Since it is untainted by habitual patterns and free from conceptualization, there is no origination of samsara and nirvana from the very beginning. Not generating causes and conditions, etc., possessing four aspects of its own nature, I myself have accomplished the essence to the very end. The self-arisen body is without birth or death, therefore there is no fear of falling into samsara and nirvana. The self-luminous essence is the basis of all things. The vajra of space is my example for wanting to symbolize the essence of one's own mind. Since it is without birth, it is similar to A(藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:无). Since it is not substantial, it is shown as an example. Now listen again to the essence of the gathering. In the Dharmakaya of intrinsic nature, there are two types, existence and non-existence. Since the eight consciousnesses turn away from objects, the nature of wisdom is the self-arisen body. The characteristic of the purity of Dharma nature is that outwardly there are similarities and dissimilarities, etc. Since it is similar to the five characteristics of its own nature, it is the Dharmakaya untainted by faults. Whatever it may be, for whatever reason, except for taming sentient beings, for the sake of true meaning, it should not be done. Without negation or affirmation, remain in equanimity. Now listen again to the essence of the gathering. The nature of external objects is that the four aspects are external, space is internal, the three are separate, appearing in the Dharmadhatu. Recognizing oneness and otherness, just as recognizing the rays of the sun and its rising. Since there is no negation or affirmation, it is the Dharmadhatu. Just as a female bear severs a rope, through the four modes of connection and non-connection, from the clinging to distorted and wrong thoughts, fearless power arises. For example, just as a great garuda soars in the sky, all are contained under the waves of its flight. The appearance of external objects is like placing various things in front of you. Merely appearing, there is no acceptance or rejection. Without clinging, the yogi in the Dharmadhatu, the basis is not changed by deluded thoughts. The sphere is not moved by the mind of effort. The Great Perfection cuts off samsara from its root. In the lineage of the unborn awareness of the Dharmakaya, the twelfth chapter, which shows the view of definite meaning. Now listen again, Vajrasattva. If one recognizes one's own mind as the Dharmakaya, then in the basis of the alaya consciousness of sentient beings, inseparable from before and after, wisdom is clear, just like clear water without turbidity. Now listen again to the essence of the gathering. The true and profound Dharmakaya is without birth or death. The characteristics of conceptual thought are purified from the root. Afflictions and ego-grasping.'
