Listen, heroes! The view of self-illuminating awareness is that its own characteristic is through the six aspects of essence and distinctions. That itself is the formless Dharmakaya, the pure realm without inside or outside. Like the sun rising and dispelling darkness, the self-arisen essence dawns as awareness. Just that is the present mind. Secret. The supreme view. Now listen to the essence of the gathering. In the view of self-arisen awareness, have a certain understanding without error about it. Even if it arises, do not grasp it as supreme. This is clear with equal holding and without thought. There is no deviation in true wisdom. Therefore, with the non-grasping of non-things, this meaning of the true view, if it is in accordance with the unerring scriptures, then it is in accordance with the view of Samantabhadra and me. Now listen to Vajrasattva again. The certainty and uncertainty of the ground, like the hands of a dancer, various appearances are not to be grasped. Just that, the ground does not change. When that meaning is realized without error, when one realizes one's own characteristics, one's own characteristics do not change. Whatever is named is in accordance with the meaning. This is the view of self-arisen certainty. From the Great Perfection, the Gathering of Definitive Meaning, the twenty-second chapter, which teaches the concise summary of the certainty of the view. Then, to the assembled retinue, the All-Knowing Teacher spoke again: The samadhi that is inseparable from the meaning of the clarity of self-awareness wisdom, clear, non-conceptual, and unwavering, with the distinctions such as essence, with the instructions of the three sets of eight, the nature of the two-three mixture, in the great self-arisen wisdom, if non-conceptual wisdom is spontaneously accomplished, then it is the Bodhicitta that has transcended effort and practice. Just clear, there is no object. Likewise, with the All-Knowing as suchness, the Buddha abides pervading everywhere. Now listen to the essence of the gathering. Like clouds clearing in the sky, if one recognizes my Dharmakaya, then the immeasurable aggregates of conceptual thoughts accumulated from beginningless time, those entities dissolve from the Dharmakaya awareness into the state of emptiness of conceptual thoughts. This is the supreme of knowing self-awareness meditation. In the essence of Dharmakaya, Bodhi, immeasurable and free from conditions. Likewise, with the All-Knowing as suchness, this self-illuminating Dharmakaya pervading everywhere, one obtains the power to accomplish everything. The Great Perfection, Definitive Meaning From the Gathering, the twenty-third chapter, which teaches the summary of the definitive meaning meditation. Then, to the assembled retinue, the All-Knowing

Then the Teacher spoke: The conduct of non-action, When this present body is taken, Through the six distinctions of conduct, Because of realizing the meaning and having no acceptance or rejection, Is superior to all vehicles. Moreover, it is the confidence of realizing one's own mind, At all times and in all aspects, From this self-illuminating awareness itself, One does not seek profit elsewhere. Now again, Vajrasattva, listen! Even now, with body, speech, and mind, Do not seek elsewhere, but in this meaning, Without distraction, remembering the meaning of awareness-conduct, Is the activity of being without samsara. Whatever it may be, in whatever, Because of realizing that there is no fault, virtue, rejection, or accomplishment, The clinging to worldly terms ceases. The meaning is clear, forgetfulness is small, attachment is small. Coarse phenomena and the phenomena of pride do not arise. Therefore, it is taught as the confidence of conduct. Now again, listen to the essence of the gathering! Through the confidence-conduct of wisdom's view, The five poisons are self-liberated, and in the wisdom, Wherever it is born, this itself is clear. There is no straying from self-arisen awareness. Therefore, it is the conduct of a yogi, Through the means of recognition and realization, Because one possesses the confidence of identifying certainty, In the appearance of single, simultaneous objects, Just as the sun and moon are seized by Rahu, It is shown as the supreme of wisdom-conduct. From the Great Perfection, the Definitive Meaning Gathering, The twenty-fourth chapter, which teaches the condensed conduct, is complete. Then, the King of All-Knowing, To the assembled retinue, spoke thus: Possessing the confidence of certainty, possessing faith, Through the six distinctions, Not in the future, but in this time, It is the fruit of manifest wisdom. Now again, Vajrasattva, listen! Just as clear water is without turbidity, In the fruit without hope or fear, There is not even the name of straying or obscuration. It is seized by the confidence of being without fear. An experience without desire arises. Awareness without experience is the supreme of experience. Faith in that meaning is the supreme of fruit. For example, because there is sap, What need is there to mention the fruit as gold? Likewise, if one possesses the confidence of certainty, What need is there to mention the fruit as a Buddha? Definitive Meaning Enlightenment is accomplished at this time. Now again, listen to the essence of the gathering! The example of the arising of the Dharmakaya image, Just as the sun, moon, and stars effortlessly, Appear as images in the ocean, In the different inclinations of sentient beings, The two form bodies arise simultaneously. Great Perfection, Definitive Meaning
