Nga. Eight things that cannot be represented by the nature of reality and cannot be subject to exaggeration or slander. What are the five certainties? Certain that there is no difference in time. Certain that offering to the Lama is equal. Certain that offerings cannot be dedicated. Certain that difficulty and ease cannot be represented. Certain that happiness and suffering share a common cause. The nature of Dharma is uncertain. The nature of mind is uncertain. The nature of wisdom is uncertain, these three. There is no arising or ceasing in the mind. This essence, the Bodhicitta, Has no cause called "father." Has no condition called "mother." Because there is no cause, there is no arising. Because there is no condition, there is no ceasing. Therefore, it is called "no arising, no ceasing." In terms of meaning, there is nothing to meditate on. Meaning is the unborn nature of reality. It cannot be meditated on through examples. It cannot be meditated on through meaning. It cannot be meditated on through signs. How is that? It cannot be meditated on through examples because all phenomena are like space. Space is empty and without self. Likewise, it cannot be meditated on through examples. It cannot be meditated on through meaning because all phenomena are ultimately unborn. The unborn nature of reality Has not been said to be something to meditate on. It cannot be meditated on through signs because self-arisen wisdom is unceasing. From the beginning, wisdom is self-luminous. It does not abide in the realm of characteristics. It has not been said to be something to meditate on. In terms of conduct, there is nothing to accept or reject. In the nature of mind, the Great Perfection, All phenomena of appearance and existence Are Bodhicitta. In the conduct of the wisdom of mind, There is no acceptance or rejection whatsoever. On the path, there is nothing to traverse. There are two kinds of paths: The path of meaning and the path of words. Based on the levels of individuals' minds, Nine categories of vehicles have been taught. In the lower vehicles, It has been taught that the path can be traversed. How is it traversed? The Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas Traverse the path by abandoning and obstructing. The Sutras of the Bodhisattvas Traverse the path by purifying and practicing. The three Yogas of action Traverse the path by eliminating grasping and fixation. The two Great Yogas Traverse the path of body, speech, and mind Through the nature of the three Samadhis. The nature of mind, the Great Perfection, Through the nature of the Great Perfection, Because there is no traversing of the Dharmakaya mind, On the path of mind

Because there is no going, it is called the path of no going. There are no enumerable aspects because all dharmas converge into one root, so there are no aspects that can be fully counted. Among the nine levels of beings' faculties, enumeration is possible because nine objects arise. In the Great Perfection of Mind-Essence, what is called an object is mind, and there is no distinction between mind and object. Because all dharmas converge into mind, Mind-Essence is the single essence. In the uncompounded essence, how can there be enumerable aspects? That mind has no essence means that all Buddhas of the three times have not shown what the essence of mind is, whether it is the essence of large or small characteristics, or the place of shape, color, and usage. I have not shown it. Because it is not seen as having an essence, it is therefore called having no essence. That the nature of reality cannot be indicated means that the nature of reality, the self-nature, is Mind-Essence. The self-nature of Mind-Essence is the nature of reality. That Mind-Essence is without fabrication means that it is called Dharma. Because it is self-aware without fabrication, it is called Mind. Just as Mind is without substance, the nature of reality is also Mind, so like Mind, Dharma is also without indication. That it cannot be added to or subtracted from means that with the Great Perfection of Mind-Essence, through the self-nature of the seven negations, all dharmas are free from addition and subtraction, free from the addition of existence and the subtraction of non-existence, free from expression in words and letters. Therefore, it is called free from addition and subtraction. What are the five certainties? That there is no difference from time means that in the past, present, and future, through the logic of no arising and ceasing, it is certain that there is no difference in time. That the Lama and offering are equal means that with the Mind-Essence of no acceptance or rejection, because all Dharma-Nature is one, there is no upper or lower order due to equality. There is no making two out of one. There is no acceptance or rejection in Mind. In the non-duality of Buddha and sentient beings, Lama and offering are non-dual and equal. Therefore, Lama and offering are equal. That offering has no dedication means that in the Great Perfection of Mind-Essence, because everything is spontaneously accomplished, there is nothing to dedicate. In the self-nature of primordial nectar, it cannot be purified even by the power of meditative absorption. That difficult and easy cannot be indicated means that in this Dharma-Nature Bodhicitta, because there is no essence from the beginning, merely indicating this name, all the Buddhas of the three times and Vajrasattva
