Three Categories, Four Categories Meditate on the mandala of the five. The three Inner Paths: Maha, Anu, and Ati. Maha meditates on the aggregates, elements, and sense bases, In the leisure of gods and goddesses. Anu meditates on the indivisibility of vows and wisdom through the three aspects of ritual. Ati has two aspects: meditation with and without effort. Meditation with effort combines the paths of the three realms, Clearing away the obstacles of the three faults, And settling in the state of view, free from all thought and memory. Meditation without effort: all phenomena of samsara and nirvana are indivisible, Because self-arisen wisdom is the nature of reality itself. Therefore, there is no duality of meditator and object of meditation. Desiring to be perfected without meditating on anything. Here in the heart essence, definitive meaning, unsurpassed Yangti, I have not taught meditation contrived by dualistic mind. Whether meditation with or without effort, both are mental constructs, Bound by being labeled as "meditation." What appears in the space that is not nothingness, Is the introduction to the nature of reality, the branch child. By oneself dissolving into oneself in the unwavering state, The meaning of the heart essence is unborn thought, unmeditated. Whatever is self-liberated, free from grasping, is the essence itself. This heart essence, free from attachment, boundless, and vast, Cannot be realized by the mind that grasps at effort and accomplishment. Delusional appearances arise as the nature of unknowing clarity. With the speech that is beyond expression, the expanse of dualistic mind, The intention of the secret lord, vast beyond mind, is shown. In this heart essence, the precious lamp of boundlessness, There is no desire for meditation with or without effort, boundlessness. Neither is intentionally obstructed, boundlessness. Neither negating nor affirming, not meditating, boundlessness. Empty and not empty, nameless, boundlessness. The view of the Lesser Vehicle, the Hearers, Towards the appearance of external objects and mind itself, Mind is selfless, objects are subtle and coarse particles. For the Self-Realized, the cause of objects is appearance, Mind is not consciousness. For Mind-Only, the appearance of objects is mind, The nature of mind is self-knowing, self-luminous, Desired. The appearance of objects, whatever appears, is false, Mind is the nature of awareness, desired as true. The Middle Way, having divided into two truths, Objects are conventional, the appearance of illusion, Mind is ultimate, viewed as free from elaboration. Kriya views conventional appearance as the three families of deities, Ultimate reality is viewed as pure Dharmata. Upa views the four families as leisure and without arising or ceasing. Yes

The five aggregates are seen as neither arising nor ceasing; Maha sees appearance and emptiness, skillful means and wisdom, as non-dual; Anu sees cause and effect, the Dharmadhatu and wisdom; Ati sees original purity, spontaneous presence, as indeterminate. In the nature of the nameless, profound, and limitless, to label it as a view is a mistake. View is unborn, view is unceasing; view is non-dual, view is liberated in its own place. In my Yangti, the precious lamp, the views of the nine vehicles are not cultivated, boundless; view is not intentionally stopped, boundless; refutation and establishment, both are nameless, boundless; non-duality, liberation from extremes, nameless, boundless. The three divisions of the fruition of characteristics, the vehicles, desire to attain the body of an Arhat or Pratyekabuddha. The mantras of outsiders desire to attain the Sambhogakaya, the peaceful body. Maha cultivates the five bodies and five wisdoms; Anu cultivates one realm and one wisdom; Ati cultivates one body and one wisdom. Thus, the stages of the vehicles are conceptually constructed, the object to be attained and the attainer are pure in their own nature. Because the bindu is universally manifest, its depth and limit are not realized, to label the result as Buddha is a fault. The duality of what is to be cultivated and the cultivator, when it arises, is destructive. In Yangti Lashang, the precious lamp, samsara and nirvana, acceptance and rejection, are not established, boundless; acceptance and rejection, both are not stopped, boundless; acceptance and rejection, non-dual, without desire, boundless; acceptance and rejection, non-dual, without obstruction, boundless. Thus, in all phenomena of existence, samsara, and nirvana, to intentionally cultivate and intentionally stop, refutation and establishment, both, whichever is non-dual, nameless, boundless, is the fortress of the abode. Wander around in the phenomena of dualistic characteristics. In the stages of the nine successive, conceptually constructed vehicles, that which is superior by its very nature is most wondrous. Thus it was said. From the root tantra of the Precious Lamp, the seventh chapter, which is the chapter on establishing the fortress that is especially superior to the stages of the vehicles, is complete. Then, the self-illuminating mind hero, Vajra, asked the teacher, the Lord of Secrets, who transcends intellect: "What is the nature of what is called a tantra? Of what is this Precious Lamp the tantra? What necessity does it accomplish?" Thus he asked. The teacher, the Lord of Secrets, spoke to the assembly: "A tantra has five entities and eight qualities, definition, the basis of intention, and the meaning of differentiation, a similar example, and necessity."
