How is it superior? Understanding the selflessness of the person, the view is superior. Practicing the ten virtues oneself, the conduct is superior. Practicing through the door of the four truths, the practice is superior. Attaining the fruit of Arhatship and so on, the four pairs and eight types, the fruit is superior. Among the Hearers, the Solitary Realizer is also superior. In one aspect of the form aggregate and the realm of phenomena, the view of understanding selflessness is superior. On top of the ten virtues, with some miraculous powers and wonders, merely doing some deeds to benefit beings, the conduct is superior. Without relying on a virtuous friend, practicing through the force of habituation, the practice is superior. The fruit, like that of a parrot and coral, is particularly superior. Among the Solitary Realizers, the Bodhisattva is also superior. Understanding the two types of selflessness, the view is superior. Benefiting beings by gathering them with the four immeasurables, the conduct is superior. Practicing the ten perfections, the practice is superior. Attaining the ground of Universal Light, the fruit is superior. Among the Bodhisattvas, Kriya is superior. Thoroughly realizing the ultimate truth of no birth, viewing the conventional self and the wisdom deity as like a lord and subject, the view is superior. Practicing the three purities, the conduct is superior. Practicing through the door of habituation, transformation, and blessing, the practice is superior. Attaining the fruit of the three families, the fruit is superior. Among the Kriyas, Upayoga is superior. Viewing the deity as a god and servant, the view is superior. Meditating on signs and signlessness, benefiting beings, the conduct is superior. Practicing through the door of the four suchnesses, the practice is superior. Attaining the fruit of the four families, the fruit is particularly superior. Among the Upayogas, Yoga is superior. Viewing the conventional deity as a friend, the view is superior. Practicing the four activities, the conduct is superior. Practicing the four mudras, the practice is superior. Attaining the state of the Buddhas of the five families, the fruit is superior. Among the Yogas, Maha is superior in four ways. Viewing one's own body as the mandala of the Victorious Ones, the view is superior. Benefiting beings through the two, union and liberation, the conduct is superior. Practicing through the door of the two, means and wisdom, the practice is superior. Attaining the ground of Universal Light, the fruit is superior. Among the Mahas, Anu is superior in four ways. Realizing the non-duality of the realm of phenomena and wisdom, the view is superior. The enjoyment of the realm of phenomena arises from wisdom, the conduct, and the enjoyment of wisdom arises from the realm of phenomena, the conduct is superior.

Five elements and five origins By accomplishing the five families of father and mother, accomplishment is supreme. Obtaining the ground of the uncontaminated lotus is the supreme fruit. Ati is four times superior to Anu, and seeing all appearances and existences as the Buddha of Dharmakaya is the supreme view. Engaging in benefiting beings through the blessings of Dharmakaya is the supreme conduct. Accomplishing without effort is the supreme accomplishment. From the thirteen-wheel great assembly upwards, to twenty-one downwards, the fruit of subduing the ground is supreme. O son of lineage! In all the tantras and transmissions I have taught, Anu and the superior, the great superior, and whatever distinctions arise between higher and lower, know them as explained here. Thus he spoke. From the Great Tantra of Freedom from Proliferation, the chapter on summarizing and teaching the superior practices of the eight vehicles, is the seventh chapter. Then, the Lord of Secrets asked again: O O Bhagavan Vajradhara! Please speak about the meaning of "superior." Thus he asked. The Teacher replied: I will speak, listen well. The nature of "superior," its definition, and the example called "difference" of "superior," I will summarize and explain in four aspects. The nature of the "superior" ones is: extraordinary, of great meaning, and supreme. The definition of the "superior" ones is: because they do not abide and become long-lasting, therefore it has definition and reason. There are two kinds of differences: the "superior" that changes according to circumstances, and the unchanging, ultimate "superior." Each of these also has four aspects: view, conduct, accomplishment, and fruit. The example is like the thousand-tiered height of a stupa. Ati is unmixed and completely perfect. In the non-dual Dharmakaya, the undifferentiated wisdom, although good and bad, big and small, high and low do not abide, they are taught in conjunction with the mind as a means of guidance. Thus he spoke. From the Great Tantra of Freedom from Proliferation, the chapter explaining the meaning of "superior," is the eighth chapter. Then, the Lord of Secrets asked again: O O Bhagavan Vajradhara! The "superior" free from proliferation is great, please speak about the distinctions of greatness. Thus he asked. The Teacher replied: Vajradhara, listen carefully! The greatness that changes according to circumstances is the greatness of each vehicle. The ultimate greatness has five aspects: from the beginning, there is no gathering and separation, with five perfections, the greatness of manifest enlightenment, and the five characteristics of the abiding place, the sphere of reality.
