Thus is titled: The Great Tantra of Freedom from Elaborations, Clearly Revealing the Meaning. In Indian Sanskrit: Tilaka Prapanchanra Prakata Tantra Maha Nama. In Tibetan: Thus is titled: The Great Tantra of Freedom from Elaborations, Clearly Revealing the Meaning. Homage to the body, speech, and mind of the Great Glorious Vajradhara, the All-Knowing One. In the great mansion of the Thirty-Three Heavens, without layers, Indra, the Lord of the Gods, who is the chief of the gods, surrounded by many minor deities, possesses the instruction to avert the great war of the Asuras and establish peace. Dharma Sarva Tila Aka Hum Ru Bi Ti Ka Ya Tri Ru Ka Rus Du Ba Hi Na Ma. Thus I have heard at one time, the Bhagavan, the Great Vajradhara of manifest realization of self-awareness, whose body is the play of wisdom, appearing without inherent existence, whose body is of various colors, whose posture is in equal lotus position, whose hand gesture is in the teaching Dharma mudra, because it is the body of wisdom, whose face is unobstructed and clearly visible in all ten directions. The place is the naturally pure lotus, blissful and clear, the play of wisdom, the light shines unceasingly, from which the cause is accomplished, caused by the five colors. The shape becomes square, the walls are made of five precious colors, the palace is round, the four-spoked wheel is surrounded by a circumference, with corners, the courtyard is with goddesses, the four doors have horse stables, the silk of desirable qualities is with various dakinis, the surrounding vajra fence is surrounded by lotuses. These appear without inherent existence, like a rainbow in the sky. In such a great palace, the teacher, the Bhagavan, the Great Vajradhara, the retinue is the unceasing play of wisdom appearing as the five families, and also the unceasing play of wisdom appearing as bodhisattvas and bodhisattva mothers, and wrathful deities and wrathful mothers, and the retinue of petitioners, the secret lord Vajrapani, and the retinue of collectors, Joyful Vajra, and also the five kinds of dakinis, namely: Purna Near Peace, Vajra Wrathful Face Mother, One Crest Ornament Mother, Corpse Eater Shanti with a garland of skulls, Vajra Wind Winged Mother, and five others. In their respective vicinity are countless dakinis.

Having circumambulated, they remained. Then, led by the Lord of Secrets, the retinue circumambulated seven times, sat down in front, and requested the teacher, saying: Alas! Alas! Bhagavan Great Vajradhara! One who has attained mastery over the power of realizing the meaning of self-awareness! The three kayas are spontaneously accomplished, abiding in the form of the Sambhogakaya. Awareness is free from elaboration, perfected in the Dharmakaya. The power of movement is unceasing, appearing as the Nirmanakaya. Appearance without inherent existence is the form of the Sambhogakaya. By eliminating delusion and conceptualization, the benefit of beings arises. At the time when the dregs of the age are approaching, The path of traversing the nine vehicles is far from accomplishment. The five poisons of affliction are extremely ripe in the continuum. Although accustomed to aspirational views, it is the dharma of the mind. Having realized the meaning of how self-awareness is, No matter how the two powers manifest, in the instruction of self-liberation, In the instruction that cannot be harmed by objects, With the lamp of words, after signifying the great meaning, The meaning of the words is connected, and it is certain to reach the ultimate, Knowing by reading, and understanding the meaning by it, In the instruction that shows the Dharmakaya all at once, Please grant the great lineage oral instruction that clarifies the meaning of non-elaboration. Since the Dharmakaya is obscured by the darkness of ignorance, Please show the Dharmakaya with the lamp of self-awareness. Since the fire of anger burns one's own continuum, Please extinguish the great fire with the nectar of wisdom. Since wisdom is obscured by the darkness of ignorance, Please dispel ignorance with the lamp of wisdom. Since one is tormented by the salty water of attachment, Please dispel the torment with the nectar of wisdom. Since the mountain of pride suppresses self-awareness, Please realize the meaning of self-awareness and remove the mountain. Since one is bound by the abyss of jealousy, Please realize the meaning of non-elaboration and remove the abyss. If one has not crossed the river of birth, old age, sickness, and death, Please cross the river with the boat of wisdom. If one has not crossed the great mountain of existence, Please cross the mountain of existence with self-liberation. If one needs to proceed in the vast wilderness of samsara, Please cross with the horse of wisdom and diligence. If one's own continuum is bound by the iron chain of grasping and clinging, Please open the iron chain with the key of wisdom. If one has fallen into the tight prison of self-grasping, Please open the door with compassion and liberate self-grasping. If one is caught in the swamp of unawakened delusion, Please wash away the swamp with the water of wisdom. If one is afflicted with the chronic disease of holding wrong views, Please with the medicine of wisdom
