If the nature of self is like that, how to explain it in detail? Thus asked, Vajradhara replied: For the benefit of future yogis, I will explain the view in detail. The cause, condition, essence of the view, definition, nature, characteristics, classification, summary, necessity, pitfalls, faults, the way of spontaneous accomplishment, reasoning, symbolic examples, faults of understanding or not understanding, excluding others, holding one's own essence, and the great transcendence of elaboration. The cause of the view is the great self-born. Why is it the great self-born? Because the self-aware Dharmakaya abides in itself, not born from the compassion of the Buddhas, not created by the karma of sentient beings, not created by the delusion of the inner Alaya consciousness, not formed from the outer five elements, not fabricated by the wisdom of practitioners, not determined by sound and reasoning, not born from the blessings of mantras and mudras, not born from cause, and will not perish due to conditions. Unfabricated, uncorrupted, the original great self-born. Therefore, the causeless cause is the supreme of all causes. The condition is the instructions of the pure guru. Why are they said to be the guru's instructions? Because through the instructions of the holy guru, one can realize the meaning of the self-born clarity and emptiness, non-duality. Therefore, the condition is the instructions of the holy guru. The essence is self-aware clarity and emptiness, non-duality. Realizing that meaning is the essence of the view. The definition of the view is self-aware wisdom. Because it does not depend on others, it is called "self." Because it is different from matter, it is "awareness." Because it is not temporarily produced, it is called "primordial." Knowing that itself is meaning and recognition. The nature of the view is clear and vast. Because self-awareness is clear, its power manifests as five lights. "Self" is the meaning of self-born awareness. From the ground, clear power and light radiate. Above that, there is no other greatness. The characteristic of the view is possessing five wisdoms. The self-born awareness Dharmakaya, its essence is unestablished, it is emptiness wisdom. Uninterrupted clarity is mirror-like wisdom. That itself is equal in a non-dual way, it is non-dual equality wisdom. Those uninterruptedly clear individually are called individual discriminating wisdom. Such wisdom

Through the power of skill. Since clarity is unceasing and everything is accomplished, it is taught as the wisdom of accomplishing activities. From this, the clear skill of the five lights arises, hence it is called the five characteristic-holding wisdoms. The divisions of view are taught in three ways: One's own awareness is taught as the Dharmakaya, the intermediate awareness skill is taught as unceasing, and the outer appearance is taught as the Dharmadhatu. If one realizes the inner awareness, it is the Dharmakaya. The skill appears as the two Rupakayas. If the Dharmakaya is divided, it is taught as the five wisdoms. The skill of that arises as the five colors of light. The inner movement is arranged with the five gates. Although one engages with outer objects, one is liberated in one's own place. Since there is no grasping or conceptualization, the movement is completely unobstructed. When the outer self-arising awareness becomes clear, the outer objects are in the empty Dharmadhatu. When the five lights arise, they are established as the five elements. The intermediate resonance is established in one's own body. The five poisons of affliction arising from ignorance, if one recognizes the nature of self-awareness, self-clarity, and non-grasping, the self-nature arises and the self-appearance is taught as pure. Even if grasping moves, wherever it moves, it is liberated in its own place. If the outer appearance does not cling to objects, and the inner self-arising awareness becomes clear, that self-awareness is called the Dharmakaya. Empty-clear, non-conceptual, endowed with bliss. Knowing the meaning of all, without holding on to it. Awareness is called the Dharmakaya. The condensed meaning of the view is taught as follows: The essence of awareness is unestablished, the aspect of emptiness. Since that itself dwells in clarity, it is great empty-clarity. Clarity, unceasing, is taught as skill, movement without trace is the cause of omniscience. The aspect of clarity, since form is unceasing, is the resonance of the five lights. Not clinging to objects is the Dharmadhatu. The four aspects of emptiness, clarity, appearance, and movement. Grasping the meaning without clinging is the view. The necessity of the view is taught as follows: The view is like an eye, everything is clear. Without view, it is impossible to attain Buddhahood in the lineage. Without view, the darkness of ignorance cannot be cleared. Without view, even if one meditates, the meaning does not change. Without view, even if one acts, there is nothing to act upon. Without view, it is impossible to be liberated from the state of Samsara. Without view, it is impossible to be freed from suffering. Without view, it is impossible to attain great bliss. Therefore, the necessity of view is extremely great. The cutting off of the faults of view is taught as follows: Since it is self-arising, how can one cut off causes and conditions? Since it dwells in emptiness, it cuts off the faults of substantiality. Clear.
