经中说，寂静也因酒而毁灭。此外，在那部经中还说：因为诵读经藏和念诵等一切都要暂时放弃，所以应当戒酒。像这样，有无量的教证和理证。总之，因为饮酒会毫不费力地产生舍弃有情生命的根本堕罪，以及欺骗应供者和有情等四种黑法，所以必须经常戒酒。在《菩萨行境种种神变经》中也说：一切贪恋酒的人，总是放逸而行。会被智者们所呵责，今生来世都愚昧。因此，有智慧的人，应当戒除对酒的贪恋。这样才能成就功德，也能在来世示现。又在那部经中说：大国王啊，酒是使人完全失去记忆的原因，所以劝诫要从各方面戒除。此外，在《涅槃经》中说：不允许比丘们做五件事。哪五件呢？不允许买卖人和、武器、酒、酸奶和油。又说：不允许去五个地方。哪五个呢？屠夫家、卖蜂蜜的女人家、卖酒的女人家、国王的王宫内和下贱种姓的家，这五个地方。因为考虑到会成为罪过的原因，所以连去都不允许。第三，关于违背密宗誓言的情况是：在《请问善臂续》中说：要从各方面戒除肉、酒、蒜、葱等，密咒师应当依靠白三物等清净的食物。在《不空绢索续》中说：如果想要成就，就应当戒除酒、肉、粪便和混合物以及残食等。在《清净续》中说：不应当饮酒，也不应当吃肉等。永远不应当做伤害有情的事。在《大坛城续》中说：不应当布施或饮用使人陶醉的饮料。已经阐明，酒是一切罪过的根本。像这样，在下部三续中，都有无量关于不能享用肉酒的说法。

It is said that even peace is destroyed by alcohol alone. Furthermore, in that very sutra, it is said: Because reading the sutras and reciting, etc., must all be temporarily abandoned, one should abstain from alcohol. Like this, there are countless scriptural and logical proofs. In short, because drinking alcohol effortlessly produces the root downfall of abandoning sentient beings, and the four black dharmas such as deceiving worthy recipients and sentient beings, one must always abstain from alcohol. In the Sutra on the Manifestation of Various Miracles in the Conduct of Bodhisattvas, it is also said: All those who are fond of alcohol always act with carelessness. They will be reproached by the wise, and will be foolish in this life and the next. Therefore, wise people should abandon their fondness for alcohol. In this way, one can accomplish virtues, and can also manifest in the next life. Again, in that very sutra, it is said: Great king, alcohol is the cause of completely losing one's memory, so it is advised to abstain from it in every way. Furthermore, in the Nirvana Sutra, it is said: Monks are not allowed to do five things. What are the five? They are not allowed to trade in people, weapons, alcohol, yogurt, and oil. It also says: They are not allowed to go to five places. What are the five? The house of a butcher, the house of a woman who sells honey, the house of a woman who sells alcohol, inside the king's palace, and the house of a low-caste person, these five places. Because it is considered to be a cause of sin, even going there is not allowed. Third, regarding the ways in which it contradicts the vows of Secret Mantra: In the Sutra Requested by Good Arms, it is said: One should abandon meat, alcohol, garlic, onions, etc., in every way, and mantra practitioners should rely on pure foods such as the three white things. In the Sutra of the Infallible Net, it is said: If you want to achieve that, you should abandon alcohol, meat, feces, mixtures, and leftovers, etc. In the Purifying Sutra, it is said: One should not drink alcohol, nor should one eat meat, etc. One should never do anything that harms sentient beings. In the Sutra of the Great Mandala, it is said: One should not give or drink intoxicating beverages. It has been explained that alcohol is the root of all faults. Like this, in all three of the lower tantra classes, there are countless statements about not being allowed to consume meat and alcohol.

还说，在修习这些仪轨时，也必须安住于布萨中，等等，必须奉行清净的行为。不仅如此，进入大瑜伽的人们不应享用肉和酒。在《五十颂》中说：“无有慈悲且易怒，傲慢且不约束贪欲，自赞的上师，有智慧的弟子不应依止。”意思是说，如果具备这些特征，就是魔类的导师，而不是密咒的金刚阿阇黎，所以不应依止为上师。这些特征的含义，也如文殊菩萨自己的见解要义简述中所说：“无情说的是吃肉的人，喜欢以愤怒来助兴，憎恨善良的人，傲慢是舍弃智慧，贪欲是享用神之财物，不约束是过度饮酒，自赞是诽谤和损害空性之道。”因此，无有慈悲是指吃肉，不约束是指饮酒，所以如果具备这些特征，就不会成为金刚阿阇黎。同样，在《金刚顶经》中说：“酒是所有堕落的根源，应当完全戒除。”以及在《不动明王忿怒续》中说：“不应杀害众生，不应抢夺他人的财物，不应说谎言，有智慧的人不应饮酒，应当戒除诽谤世间，应当以恭敬来奉行这光明之戒律。”又在同一部经中说：“我无论在何处都不应饮用使人陶醉的酒。”还说，在时轮金刚中，最初的二十五种苦行之一就是戒酒。在《胜乐轮根本续》中说：“持咒者因酒而失坏，贪恋欲望而行淫，跳舞、欢笑，喜欢争斗而神志不清，诽谤和损害他人，也会在地狱中哭号。所有瑜伽母都会愤怒，因罪恶而堕入地狱，还会遭受疾病、悲伤和恐惧，出现各种可怕的伤害。对上师怀恨在心，诽谤上师，对怀恨的众生不作布施，甘露和毒药

It is also said that when practicing these rituals, one must also abide in Uposatha, etc., and must practice pure conduct. Moreover, those who have entered the Great Yoga should not consume meat and alcohol. In the "Fifty Verses," it says, "Without compassion and prone to anger, arrogant and unrestrained in desire, a self-praising guru should not be relied upon by a wise disciple." This means that if one possesses these characteristics, one is a teacher of the demonic class, not a Vajra Acharya of secret mantra, so one should not rely on them as a guru. The meaning of these characteristics is also as stated in the summary of Manjushri's own view: "Without affection refers to those who eat meat, delighting in anger to encourage it, hating good people, arrogance is abandoning wisdom, desire is using the wealth of the gods, unrestrained is excessive drinking, self-praise is slandering and harming the path of emptiness." Therefore, without compassion refers to eating meat, and unrestrained refers to drinking alcohol, so if one possesses these characteristics, one will not become a Vajra Acharya. Similarly, in the Vajrasekhara Sutra, it says, "Alcohol is the root of all downfall, it should be completely abandoned." And in the Achala Wrathful Tantra, it says, "One should not kill living beings, one should not steal the wealth of others, one should not speak lies, a wise person should not drink alcohol, one should abstain from slandering the world, one should practice this clear precept with reverence." Again, in the same sutra, it says, "I should not drink intoxicating alcohol anywhere." It is also said that in the Kalachakra, one of the initial twenty-five ascetic practices is abstaining from alcohol. In the Chakrasamvara Root Tantra, it says, "Mantra practitioners are ruined by alcohol, crave desire and engage in sexual activity, dance, laugh, enjoy fighting and become confused, slander and harm others, and will also cry out in hell. All yoginis will be angry, fall into hell due to sin, and will suffer from disease, sorrow, and fear, and various terrible harms will occur. Holding resentment towards the guru, slandering the guru, not giving to beings who hold resentment, nectar and poison.
