In the Yoga Tantra, the yoga of method and wisdom is the view of the Great Translator Rinpoche. Thus, the third part of the Vehicle of Joyful Sage of Knowledge has been explained. Next is the third, concerning the Vehicle of Means of Empowerment, in which the three inner mantras are explained. It is divided into three parts. The first part, the Body Tantra, the Maha Yoga Vehicle, is how to establish the basis of the view: As the teacher Buddha Guhya said, "The basis and the reason, the meaning of accomplishment." Therefore, there are three things: the basis to be measured, the reason for measuring, and the conclusion of accomplishment. First, the mind that clings to samsara and nirvana, together with the fabricated clinging appearances, is the object to be measured. As stated in the 'Lam Nam Kod': "Measure the two objects of investigation." And as stated in the 'Lam Rim': "Investigate the clinging appearances of samsara and nirvana objects." Secondly, there are many reasons for measuring,

Because emptiness transcends object, thought, and expression, from the root tantra, it is neither one nor many, it is the suchness without beginning or end. Even the Buddhas cannot see it; it is self-arisen wisdom, a phenomenon without location. Therefore, Sakya Paṇḍita also said: If there is a view superior to the freedom from elaboration of the Perfection of Wisdom, that view will become elaborate. In terms of the conventional truth view, there is a difference between the view of Sutra and Tantra. The reason is that in the unsurpassed profound Madhyamaka vehicle of the causal vehicle, these phenomena that appear as interdependent arising in the conventional truth are viewed only as not being truly established in their own nature, like illusions and dream appearances. Although it is not taught to view them as the great mandala of pure deities, in this context of the unsurpassed mantra of the Great Vehicle of Method, it is viewed that these phenomena, encompassed by the environment and beings, naturally abide as deities and goddesses. As the Guhyagarbha Tantra says: The limbs of the vajra body are liberated as the five complete Buddhas. All the aggregates, elements, and sense bases are the mandala of the Bodhisattvas themselves. Earth, water, eye, and Māmaki, fire, wind, White-clad Samaya Tara, the sovereign mother of the sphere of space, the three realms are primordially Buddha-fields, all phenomena without exception are none other than the Buddhas themselves. Also, as the Two Examinations Tantra says: Sentient beings are all Buddhas, but they are obscured by adventitious stains. If those stains are removed, they are truly Buddhas. Also, as the Wondrous King Tantra says: I and limitless sentient beings are primordially Buddhas. In the nature of knowing that, I generate the supreme Bodhicitta. Thus, from the perspective of the conventional truth of dependent phenomena, the reason why the view of Tantra surpasses Sutra is that emptiness, the basis of appearance, also seems to be free from elaboration. But here, we consider the ultimate truth to be the complete emptiness that possesses all supreme aspects, the seven treasures of essence spontaneously accomplished. As the Lamrim says: Within the unsurpassed vehicle, in the ultimate truth, there is no difference, but in the conventional truth, everything is grasped as both pure and impure. The great view and practice of method, purification and suffering, are also not different in the conventional truth, but the views are high and low.

Just that. Thus it is said. Secondly, regarding how to practice the path of meditation: The motivation is the same as in the three Inner Tantras, namely, to attain the state of Vajradhara in order to accomplish the vast benefit and happiness of oneself and others in this very life and body. The entrance is as stated in the Later Tantra: "The master's secret wisdom empowerment is immediately followed by the fourth empowerment." Thus, the four empowerments such as the vase empowerment, or the vase empowerment divided into two, namely, the enhancing and enabling empowerments, become five empowerments. These are the ten outer enhancing empowerments, the five inner enabling empowerments, and the three secret profound empowerments. By properly receiving these, one ripens one's own mind-stream. Having entered in this way, regarding how to practice the stages of the path, as King Indrabhuti said in the Two Stages: "The Dharma taught by the Buddhas truly abides in two stages: the stage of generation and the stage of completion." Thus, there are two stages of the path: the yoga of the conceptual generation stage and the yoga of the non-conceptual completion stage. Of these, the first, the generation stage, is the means to purify the imprints of birth and to obstruct ordinary appearances, clinging, characteristics, and conceptualizations into the nature of deities. As it is said in the Treasury of Qualities: "The generation stage obstructs the clinging to the truth of appearances." Thus it is said. That birth, namely, the beings abiding from the peak of existence to the Avici hell, are included in any of the four types of birth. Therefore, to purify them, the generation stage is also taught as fourfold. As it is said in The Glorious Magical Net Tantra: "For the sake of purifying the four births, the generation is also likewise fourfold: with elaboration, with and without elaboration, and extremely without elaboration." Thus it is said. Of the four, the first, for beginners, the object of meditation for those of inferior faculties, is the generation stage of great elaboration with conceptualization, which purifies the imprints of egg-born beings. As it is said in the Root Heruka: "Manifesting in the form of the Vajradhara of the result, generating from the door of self-generation and other-generation." Such as the Sakya's Compendium of Practices or the Kagyu's Collection of Eight Commands, or according to the tantras, such as the Root Wrathful One. Among these, the former generates from the door of the five branches of self-generation with pure instructions and the eight branches of other-generation, while the latter, whether earlier or later, are the three vajra rites of generation.
