All these are accepted. Regarding patience, in both 'Destruction' and 'Annihilation,' it is explained as not clinging to the three circles (giver, receiver, and the object given). Others consider patience to be not getting angry at being scolded by everyone. Regarding diligence, in 'Destruction,' diligence in virtue increases because of dedicating oneself to the benefit of sentient beings. Others consider generating a strong desire to do good as diligence. Regarding the armor of meditation, in 'Sunlight' and 'Adornment,' it is explained as dedicating the root of virtue because it is not mixed with other vehicles, and the same is explained in the 'Eight Thousand Verse' and the 'Twenty-five Thousand Verse.' Others consider it to be merely focusing the mind on omniscience. Regarding wisdom, in 'Sunlight' and 'Adornment,' because of abiding in the perception of illusion, there is no clinging to the three circles. In 'Destruction,' it is explained as dedicating to enlightenment by relying on conventional truth and not clinging to the three circles by relying on ultimate truth; these two are similar. In the 'Eight Thousand Verse,' one does not boast of virtuous roots and it is purely non-clinging. In the 'Twenty-five Thousand Verse,' dedication is explained as wisdom. Fifth, the fruit of what has been cultivated, as stated in the 'Ratnavali': 'Generosity brings enjoyment, discipline brings happiness, patience brings radiance, diligence brings splendor, meditation brings peace, wisdom brings liberation, and loving-kindness accomplishes all purposes.' All these seven, simultaneously through the perfections, attain the realm of inconceivable wisdom, omniscience. Thus, the temporary and ultimate fruits are proclaimed. Sixth, explaining the meaning of words, as stated in the 'Ornament': 'It is explained for abandoning poverty, obtaining coolness and enduring anger, combining excellence, and focusing the mind, and understanding ultimate truth.' Thus it is. Second, the practice of entering is divided into two: explaining the actual practice of entering, and separately explaining what is difficult to understand. The first is the nine practices of entering: contemplating the images of contemplation in which the characteristics, signs, and marks of all phenomena are considered to be indistinguishable like space. The three characteristics, signs, and marks here are: the three of abandonment, antidote, and benefit, or the three of peace, roughness, and feeling, experience. The six perfections that are free from the attention of hearers and solitary realizers and that aim at omniscience. The path of cultivating from the accumulations for enlightenment up to non-mixture. The immeasurable qualities endowed with the six perfections. The nature of the eighteen emptinesses is without object. Giver, object of giving, giving.

The three circles, such as places, are pure without any object of focus. The purpose is to completely cut off attachment to the Dharma of the path, such as the northern direction. The direct perception that completely ripens sentient beings. To turn the wheel of Dharma that even the gods cannot turn, to understand all knowledge, and to enter the nine practices of the nine vehicles of the Great Vehicle. Second, to explain in detail the difficult-to-understand parts, namely, formless meditation and immeasurable qualities. First, explaining form meditation is divided into four parts: what is the cause of attainment, the nature of what is to be attained, the signs of such attainment, and the person who attains it. First, the cause of attainment is divided into three parts: explaining the cause of attainment of the first dhyana, the remainder is shown to be the same, and considering where the ninth path belongs. First, the cause of attainment of the first dhyana is seven types of attention: first, the desire realm is where suffering is most intense and not pacified, and life is very short, while the first dhyana is the opposite, being coarse and peaceful. Thus, to attend to hearing and thinking mixed together is to separately cut off the characteristics of the upper and lower realms, therefore it is the attention of thoroughly understanding the characteristics. Thus, having believed the upper and lower realms to be peaceful and coarse, from transcending hearing and thinking and reaching calm abiding and insight, it is the attention arising from belief. After mixing for a long time, by its power, initially the path of abandoning the three great afflictions of the desire realm will arise, and the attention corresponding to the arisen path is the extremely secluded attention. When this is used to separate from the afflictions of the desire realm and the faults of its aspects, from then on, one will abandon afflictions and therefore like seclusion, seeing the benefits of both, and when feeling the small joy and happiness arising from seclusion, in order to separate from sleepiness and excitement, one begins with extremely clear attention from time to time, and makes it weary with attention that causes weariness, this is the attention of gathering joy and happiness, it is the stage of abandoning the three medium afflictions. Extremely clear and wearying attention are, in order: to generate desire for abandonment, and to contemplate the faults of what has not been abandoned. Thus, when striving to abandon, whether it is the cause or the place, it is good.
