Cutting off all the conceptual thoughts of relatives, as well as the wisdom and compassion that do not dwell in either samsara or nirvana, and the path that is not common to the Shravaka disciples, and accomplishing the benefit of others in order according to their capacity, and entering into wisdom without effort, these thirteen supports are called lineage. Second, explaining the subsequent attainment of the ninth and tenth of the twelve practices in the cave: Accomplishing the benefit of others in order, the practice of constant practice is to place the three vehicles of the path that are in accordance with their respective capacities within it. So what method is used to place it? Through the four hidden meanings and the four doors of intention. There are three marginal analyses of this: the nature of hidden meaning and intention, the difference between the two, and thinking about which is direct speech and which is not definitive. First, there are two: intention and hidden meaning. First, as the Ornament of Sutras says: "Equality and other meanings, likewise other times and, the intention of beings, it should be known that there are four intentions." Thus, of the four, the intention of equality is, such as "Now at that time also, the fully enlightened perfect Buddha is manifested," etc., is the equality of the Dharmakaya. The intention of other meanings is, such as saying "All dharmas are without self-nature, unborn," etc., is not according to the literal meaning. The intention of other times is, such as "Whoever prays to be born in the Land of Bliss, they will be born there," etc., although they are not born immediately after death, the intention is in other times. The intention of the intention of beings is, such as praising certain merits, while belittling those who are content with little, etc. Second, hidden meaning, as the Ornament of Treatises says: "The hidden meaning of establishment and, the hidden meaning of characteristics is other, the hidden meaning of antidote and, the hidden meaning of transformation is." Thus, of the four, the first, the hidden meaning of establishment is, in order to make the Shravakas etc. enter the Dharma, in order to eliminate fear, it is declared that form etc. exist. Second, the hidden meaning of characteristics is, considering the three natures, it is declared that all dharmas are without self-nature etc. That is, the imputed is not real, hence it is a characteristic, and, the dependent arising does not arise from itself but from others.

Continuously arising, the meaning or object of the perfected, ultimate, non-conceptual wisdom of reality, because it is inseparable from other-powered phenomena, it is said to be without self-nature with regard to the ultimate self-nature, as such. Third, the intention of antidote concealment: As stated in the Ornament Sutra, "Disparaging the Buddha's teachings, laziness, contentment with a small portion, acting with arrogance and attachment, regret and uncertainty, are the obscurations of sentient beings; the supreme vehicle is taught as their antidote." Thus, like teaching in order to subdue eight faults, such as explaining the first meaning as an antidote to disparaging the Buddha, and as an antidote to disparaging the scriptures, if one serves and honors Buddhas as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, then the realization of the Great Vehicle will arise, and so on. This is said in the Summary of the Great Vehicle to be intended for another meaning, and its meaning is explained in the commentary, that the meaning in the scriptures is intended for another meaning, referring to the Dharma of the realization of the Great Vehicle. To counteract the obscuration of laziness, it is said to be intended for another time, such as saying: Just mentioning the name of the Tathagata Immaculate Moonlight, one will definitely attain unsurpassed enlightenment. Like that. To counteract contentment with a small portion, such as belittling generosity, etc., in some (people) while praising others. To counteract acting with arrogance, such as praising the perfection of the qualities of some Buddhas. To counteract acting with attachment, such as praising the richness of the Buddha's realm. To counteract regret, such as saying: Those who harm Buddhas and Bodhisattvas will also be reborn in the heavens. Like that. To counteract the obscuration of uncertain regression, such as prophesying to the Shravakas, and teaching the One Vehicle, etc. This, along with the intention and the second concealment of intention, are all views of the Mind-Only school. Fourth, the intention of transformation concealment: It looks to lead the profound meaning of what is expressed elsewhere, as it says: "Knowing the unreal as real, dwelling well in the inverted, afflictions extremely afflicted, one will attain the supreme enlightenment." Like that. The real is the mind's distraction. Its non-existence is the unreal. The inverted is that which is contrary to purity, bliss, permanence, and self. Afflictions are long-lasting.
