way. Firstly, in the Vajra Garland (rdo rje phreng ba), one hundred and eight winds are explained, including exhaling and inhaling. This both opens the gateway for generating one hundred and eight different concepts and also differentiates through the manner of circulating in six chakras. The latter refers to the well-known four chakras, as well as the wind chakra with six petals at the eyebrow center, and the fire chakra with three petals above the heart and below the throat. For these, starting initially from the heart, from midnight to noon, each chakra runs through ninety-nine winds, totaling fifty-four; then from there to midnight, it runs similarly, totaling one hundred and eight. The second is divided into what is explained from the Father Tantra and what is explained from the Mother Tantra. Among these, the former in the 'Intentional Prophecy' (dgongs pa lung ston) speaks of ten winds, including their divisions, locations, order of formation, functions, manner of movement, and the necessity of establishing them as such. The first is the five root winds such as the life wind, and the five branch winds such as the Naga wind (klu). In the 'Vajra Door Tantra' (rdo rje sgo'i rgyud), the branch winds are indicated by names such as non-movement. As for the reason for naming the branch winds with the previous terms, Je Gös (rje 'gos) says that these five are named as such because they originate respectively from something resembling a lotus, a snake; the liver, a turtle; the lungs, verdigris; the heart, the clothes of a goddess's daughter; the kidneys, the shape of a bow. Second, the life wind is located in the heart, the downward-clearing wind in the perineum, the upward-moving wind in the throat, the fire-equalizing wind in the navel, and the pervasive wind in all the joints. The five branch winds are located respectively at the doors of the senses such as the eyes. Third, in the ten months, initially, as soon as consciousness enters the center of sperm and blood, the life wind arises; from the life wind, in the second month, the downward-clearing wind arises; after that, in the third month, the fire-equalizing wind arises; after that, in the fourth, the pervasive wind; after that, in the fifth, the upward-moving wind arises. When conjoining in the womb and the heart's knot is formed, from the co-emergent wind within it, the life-essence wind that moves in the nostrils arises. At this time, the body of the sentient being appears like the form of a fish, which is the manner of formation in the first month. In the second month, from the life-essence arises the downward-clearing wind, at which time five protrusions appear including the two hands, two feet, and the head, appearing like the form of a turtle. In the third month, the downward-clearing wind --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

其中,有火之火白色衣女(me'i me gos dkar mo),火之风度母(me'i rlung sgrol ma),地之母眼女(ma'i sa spyan ma),火之水玛玛吉(me'i chu mA mA kA)的风息运行。

Some are born from the sahaja (mnyam gnas, Sanskrit sahaja, English: co-emergent). At that time, although their five limbs are complete, they are slightly bent, like a wild boar. The fourth case is that the upward-moving air (gyen rgyu, Sanskrit udāna, English: upward-moving) arises from the sahaja. At that time, the upper body expands slightly, like a lion. The fifth case is that the pervasive air (khyab byed, Sanskrit vyāna, English: pervasive) arises from the upward-moving air. In the latter five months, the air that flows through the eye gate in sequence, and most of the earth element; the water element that flows through the ear gate; the fire that flows from the nose; the air that flows from the tongue; and arising and flowing from all the senses of the body, at those times, perceive the objects in various ways. Fourth, the life air (srog rlung, Sanskrit prāṇa, English: life air) prolongs life, the upward-moving air draws food and drink upwards, etc., the downward-clearing air (thur sel, Sanskrit adhogati, English: downward-clearing) draws downwards, the co-emergent air digests together, etc., and the pervasive air moves, etc. The five airs of the limbs, the air that flows from the eye gate, as the mount of eye consciousness, produces the fruit of perceiving form. Similarly, the pervasive, correct, extreme, and definite airs, each as the mount of their own consciousness, produce the fruit of perceiving their respective objects. The five airs of the limbs are the state of the root air, the life air flows from those channels, so it is given such a name. Fifth, the pervasive air does not flow from the nose gate except at the time of death. The other four airs, flow from the right, flow from the left, both flow strongly, flow slowly, the downward-clearing air, the fire-equal air (me mnyam, Sanskrit samāna, English: fire-equal), and the life air. These arise from the secret tip of the nose and flow in the conventional nose. The way of flowing in conjunction with the Five Families (rigs lnga) is that 21,600 breaths flow in one day and night. Among them, when each Protector (mGon po)'s nine hundred breaths flow ten thousand times, the breaths of the four wisdom goddesses (lha mi bzhi) each flow two hundred and twenty-five times. Among them, the upward-moving air flowing from the right, red, nine hundred breaths flowing ten thousand times, is the flow of the Lotus Protector (pad+ma mGon po). Among them, there are the fire of fire White-Clad Woman (me'i me gos dkar mo), the fire of air Tara (me'i rlung sgrol ma), the earth of mother Eye Woman (ma'i sa spyan ma), and the fire of water Māmaki (me'i chu mA mA kA)'s breaths flow. Flowing from the left is the downward-clearing air, bluish-black, is the flow of the Karma Protector (las kyi mGon po). Flowing strongly from both is the fire-equal air, yellow, is the flow of the Ratna Protector (rin chen mGon po). Flowing weakly is the life air, the color appears like crystal, is the flow of the Vajra Protector (rdo rje mGon po), when nine hundred breaths flow ten thousand times, it is also combined in the same way. These are all nine hundred... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
