Manifesting the form of great terror shaking the earth, blazing like the fire of the final age, with a wrathful face, eyebrows shifting like lightning, eyes wide open, teeth gnashing, fiercely blazing, uttering a vajra-like roar, resounding through the sky, proclaiming the call to gather Ḍākinīs, shaking the three realms with great wrathful strides, raising the threatening finger, subduing the great gods, rolling the tongue, gnashing great teeth, savoring blood, consuming the world with gods and all, adorned with garlands of fresh elephant skin and skull cups, naked, in the form of the great terrifying Lord (Maheśvara), the terrifying buffalo with gaping wrathful mouth, nine faces blazing, devouring and sucking existence, various mudrās blazing, subduing various beings, feet extended and contracted, suppressing demons and heretics, I constantly prostrate to the form of the great terrifying one. From the mandala of nine blazing faces, the three faces on the right are wrathful, blue, red, and yellow, the three faces on the left are gaping, white, smoky, and black, the three faces in the center are blazing, in the aspects of wrath, desire, and peace, from the blazing light of the mudrās, the sixteen hands on the right hold weapons of striking and destroying, the sixteen hands on the left are adorned with symbols of play and power, from the majestic and terrifying stance of the feet, the eight feet on the right are contracted, subduing the eight arrogant gods with skillful means, the eight feet on the left are extended, playing with the eight arrogant goddesses, in order to subdue great desire, constantly manifesting the form of an erect lingam, subduing hatred with a fierce form, I prostrate to you—the form of the subduer. From the mandala of the great charnel ground, subduing demons and Yama with skillful means, controlling the Ḍākinīs, I prostrate to you—the controller, from the mandala of the great Lord (Īśvara), gathering with faith those without power, surrounded by the retinue of wisdom emanations, I prostrate to you—together with your retinue, from the mandala of the wisdom mind, no matter what form you emanate, you never move from the pure realm of reality, I prostrate to you—the equality, thus reciting and praising. Thus, through the two types of meditation, from clarifying each one distinctly to focusing on clear appearance, accomplishing clear appearance, and through generating a strong conviction that 'I am glorious Vajrabhairava,' stabilizing pride, both of these should be practiced, this is the vast learning. The meditator and the object of meditation. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Even when examining actions and meditations, they appear as illusory phenomena without any real establishment. Settling the mind in such a state of reality is settling into the yoga of suchness. The object of focus is the deity's form, continuously ascertaining its self-nature as emptiness; therefore, one needs to learn both profound and vast methods, which are all ways of focusing the mind on reason. To eliminate dullness and agitation in meditation, focus the mind on the tip of the nose, either above or below, visualizing a blue vajra residing there, the size of a mustard seed. Once the mind becomes stable, emanate many implements from it, and then gather them back into the fundamental symbol. This is focusing the mind on the subtle, the order of methods for holding the mind. Meditating in this way allows one to remember purity. The nine faces represent the nine scriptures, the two horns represent the two truths, the thirty-four hands and body, speech, and mind represent the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, the sixteen feet represent the sixteen emptinesses, and the upward-standing symbol represents the increase of great bliss. Humans and vultures represent the eight accomplishments, and the eight birds represent the eight powers. Nakedness represents the absence of obscurations, and hair standing on end represents the attainment of nirvana. As explained in the two commentaries. If we briefly summarize these meanings, the basis for establishment is the content of the nine scriptures, namely, conventional illusion and ultimate reality like the sky. The path to understanding these is the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment. The key to the path is the realization of ultimate reality, which is the realization of the sixteen emptinesses, entering into it inseparable from the means of great bliss. The result of traversing this path is the master of both common and uncommon accomplishments, which is nirvana, the exhaustion of obscurations. Therefore, these are symbolized by the manifested form of Vajrabhairava, and these meanings should be understood. If one wishes to meditate in detail, one should learn from the two commentaries and the treatises of La-li-ta, which is remembering purity. Then, visualize at the end of the Samadhi mind, the letters of the mantra one wishes to recite arranged in a clockwise direction, and visualize them emitting light. The light emitted from there passes through in sequence, and when exhaling from the nostrils, it goes out with the breath to benefit beings. Then, when inhaling again, it enters from the nostrils, merges into the mantra garland, and visualize it emanating from the nine faces, reciting without error. The errors in recitation are being too fast or too slow, and being too clear or unclear, too long or too short, etc. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
