Where was born and made aspirations to benefit the Dharma and sentient beings? On the fifteenth day of the twelfth month of the Horse year, offered from the secluded place of Gangbu Legarpo (White Cliff Snow Mountain) on the right side, Yulong Dorje Dzong (Yulong Vajra Fortress), may it be auspicious! Instructions to the Lord Tri Gyal Sonam De: A concise practice of the three types of individuals. Namo Lokeshvara (Homage to Avalokiteśvara): Whose lotus feet, the gods Indra and Brahma, etc., the proud of the world respectfully venerate with their crowns, is the guru of beings, the protector of the three realms, the savior Shakya's chief, I prostrate! Although not moving in the realm of the Dharmakaya free from elaboration, the Rupakaya adorned with a hundred merits, with the common cause of compassion, arises as the glory of beings, I bow to the friend of the sun who tames those to be tamed. I and others, both and without cause, things do not arise from this, with his compassion, the Middle Way free from extremes, with the fearless lion's roar, frightening all the deer of wrong views, showing the path of goodness to beings, the supreme Sugarcane Grove tradition, I bow to the teacher Gautama. The appearance of a Buddha in the hundred paths of the world is as rare as the Udumbara flower, and it is difficult to obtain a body with leisure and endowment, who with a mind would make it fruitless? Life is like a waterfall on a cliff, as unstable as a butter lamp in the wind, therefore, those who desire their own well-being should hasten to accomplish their own ultimate benefit. All beings act according to their karma, the results of white and black karma never deceive, the ripening of the virtuous and non-virtuous deeds accumulated by oneself, like a shadow, follows inseparably. Retinue, relatives, enjoyments, etc., like illusory horses and elephants created by children, are the deception of this life, the iron shackles of samsara, no one follows in the next life. Those who are attached to desirable pleasures are like dogs and pigs who enjoy eating impure things, therefore, those who desire the path of Nirvana should abandon attachment to desirable pleasures. In this ocean of existence without bottom or end, from beginningless time, distracted by the power of karma and afflictions, if we still have to wander without end, who with knowledge would not be disgusted with this? From beginningless time, the kind sentient beings who have been cared for with love many times, are tormented by unbearable intense suffering, if we abandon them, there is no shame greater than that. Therefore, sinking in the ocean of suffering. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Look upon helpless beings with a heart of compassion. To liberate them from the ocean of existence, Having generated the supreme mind of unsurpassed Bodhi, In the nature of ultimate reality, free from elaboration, like the sky, Although there are no signs of knower and known, In the conventional reality of interdependent arising, like an illusion, Reflect properly with discriminating wisdom. Bound by the tight iron chains of mistaken clinging to reality, Since beginningless time, imprisoned in the prison of existence. All external and internal things, Are merely the magical displays of one's own deluded mind, Like an illusion, a dream, a city of gandharvas, And like the moon in water, a mirage. Seal them with the view of appearance and emptiness, free from attachment. Especially cultivate compassion for beings who have not realized this. Magicians conjure up various forms, Such as horses, elephants, and various vehicles. But there is nothing real appearing in them. Know that retinue and possessions are the same. Just as in the dream of a young girl, She sees a son born and then sees him die, Happy if he is born, unhappy if he dies, Know that various kinds of happiness and suffering are the same. Just as a city of gandharvas appears in the sky, The city is not in any of the ten directions or anywhere else. It is merely indicated by the name of a city. Know that countries, communities, and governments are the same. Just as the moon rises in the clear sky, Its reflection appears in the clear lake, But the moon has not moved into the water. Know that the birth and death of beings are the same. Just as at midday in summer, A man, tormented by thirst, walks along, And sees a mirage as a mass of water. Know that attachment to desirable objects and happiness is the same. In caves, mountains, ravines, and forests, A man sings, cries, and laughs, Although an echo appears, it is not really there. Know that praise, blame, and fame are the same. Thus, upon all things that appear, Again and again, seal them with the view of emptiness, free from attachment. Day and night, without distraction, Diligently strive in white virtuous deeds with the three doors. Giving, abandoning miserliness towards possessions, Morality, abandoning the root of non-virtue, Patience, abandoning anger and resentment, Diligence, gathering all virtues. Are the cause for creating the perfect form body for the benefit of others. Samadhi, abandoning sinking and agitation, Wisdom, realizing the nature of reality as it is. The sphere of reality, like the sky, inexpressible, the pacifier of all elaborations. Are the cause for accomplishing the perfect dharmakaya for one's own benefit. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
