It is said that virtuous practices such as dream luminosity decline due to factors such as sexual decline. If you constantly think of catching dreams during the day, you will also be able to catch dreams. Even if you catch the dream, if you don't catch the clear light, it is not very necessary. That is, before going to sleep, visualize the root guru in the center of the five-colored rainbow light in your heart, with a rainbow light body, sitting in the mudra of meditative equipoise, and pray with devotion. Sleep with the attitude of pacifying the confusion of dreams and blessing the manifestation of self-awareness and clear light. Also, if the mindfulness is too strong before going to sleep, you will not be able to fall asleep. If the strength is too weak, it is difficult to grasp, so you need to adjust the tightness and looseness appropriately. When you wake up, you must clearly establish it in this way and continue. It is very important to know that all appearances during the day are dreams and to blend heart and mind indissolubly. In addition, even if you only recognize subtle thoughts, they will naturally disappear. However, when strong anger and the like arise, it is crucial to maintain the nature of awareness and continue. In general, not letting afflictions get out of control is the root of all Dharmas, so it is very important to rely on training to transform them into the path. In the outer tantras, although many methods of transforming afflictions into wisdom through the key points of deities, mantras, and visualizations are explained. But here, in the practice of Mahamudra and Dzogchen, regard all appearances as manifestations of your own mind, and do not follow attachment and clinging to them, but practice on the basis of awareness. The self-nature of reality, both the generation stage and the completion stage, are originally spontaneously accomplished union, so if you regard appearances, sounds, and thoughts as the play of deities, mantras, and Dharmata, then it is okay to practice the deity or not. As Orgyen Chenpo said: "The symbolic Buddha, the complete Sambhogakaya, and the real Buddha, the Dharmakaya, are the same. The direct perception of Dharmata awareness is this, so do not seek other Buddhas, lords and subjects." Similarly, Guru Yoga is also like this. The external guru appearing in shape is only a symbolic metaphorical guru. Recognizing the nature of self-awareness is the actual Dharmakaya guru being symbolized. Therefore, the most important thing is the nature of awareness.

If awareness is not lost, there will be no separation from the lama. Gling Ras said: The lama and one's own mind are inseparable; to cling to the physical form is to be lost. So it is said. If one does not ascertain that the lama is inherently the dharmakaya of the Buddha, but meditates on him as a body of flesh and blood, it is a wrong view, and blessings will not arise. During meditative equipoise, if one does not notice dullness, it is the fault of sinking, so one should bring forth the clarity and sharpness of awareness. If one is distracted by external circumstances, one should quickly rely on mindfulness and maintain the self-possession of awareness. In the post-meditation period, if one always loses practice, it is a sign that one has not seen the true nature of vipashyana but has gone astray into shamatha. It is said that if one grasps the self-possession of awareness, then all thoughts will arise as meditation. If one does not grasp it, even if one goes to a stable environment, one will still be lost. In short, as it is said in Kun Khyen: Just as driving a stake into the ground, maintaining the self-possession of awareness is of utmost importance. So it is said. If the magic of gods and demons arises, it means that practice is increasing. For in appearance, all the benefits, harms, good, and bad brought by the gods and demons of existence are the infallible cause and effect of relative truth, so one must not disregard cause and effect. Therefore, one should cultivate loving-kindness and compassion, knowing all gods, demons, and obstacles as one's parents, and make them satisfied by offering incense and giving offerings with the illusory body, and then dedicate the merit and make good aspirations, which is very important. In ultimate truth, not only the magic of gods and demons, but all of samsara and nirvana are nothing more than the magic of one's own mind, so one must understand that there are no demons or obstacles other than the illusion of the mind. In short, when one is solely devoted to lama yoga, one should know that the gods and demons here are also manifestations of the lama. One should focus on the generation stage in which existence appears as the lama, and the completion stage in which mind and wisdom are inseparably merged. If one recognizes the nature of awareness and does not lose the self-possession of awareness, then whatever arises, whether abiding or moving, is meditation, is meditative equipoise. If one does not recognize the nature of awareness, then abiding without the mind wandering for a long time, and looking at and recognizing the nature of whatever arises, and then abiding without alteration and appearing to disappear, is actually expanding appearance with intellect, and it is said that neither of these two ways counts as meditation. Such abiding and moving without seeing the nature of awareness, and the sto
