It is the speech of learned successors. Without connecting to the basis, there is no place for self to arise, no place to abide, and no place to go. To look blankly in such a way is a wrong path. Speech arises from the three times and the source of letters. The past mind has ceased, the future has not arisen, and the present moment is also instantaneous. For example, after the sound of reciting Om (ༀ, Sanskrit: ॐ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om) is finished, one must recite Ah (ཨཿ). In this way, one must recognize from the perspective of conceptual thought. Although some say to recognize conceptual thought and then abide without alteration, do not listen to that. When attachment arises, if it is caught by mindfulness, then the arising mindfulness and what is to be abandoned cannot coexist. There are three aspects to the method of practice: the Mind Series, the Space Series, and the Instruction Series; this is an aspect of the Mind Series. Taming the after-effects and pure places after thoughts have disappeared. Self-grasping and relaxing into the natural state, etc., are not found in the Instruction Series. As it says in the Wish-Fulfilling Treasury: Because of recognizing and changing in an instant, who can abide in the interval between practicing and not practicing? Such evil paths contradict the sutras and tantras; if you desire liberation, you should abandon them from afar. In \"Clarifying the Innate Suchness,\" it says: To meditate on the state between the cessation of the previous thought and the non-arising of the subsequent thought is like a famine in great meditation. If practicing Dharma does not accord with the words of the Buddha and the treatises, it is a wrong path. If one does not recognize rigpa, when it is caught by mindfulness, it appears in the mind, seeming like emptiness. Many people blankly abide in this inexpressible, ambiguous state, which is on a bad path of error. It is difficult to attain realization through experience in view. In the Instruction Series, after recognizing rigpa, if one forgets, what is forgotten is rigpa. If one remembers, what is remembered is rigpa. If one abides, the place of abiding is rigpa. Merely through mindfulness, all conceptual thoughts are cleared away, and one appears in rigpa. Clarity is the characteristic of mind, emptiness is the nature of mind, and union is the reality of mind. If one knows these three qualities of mind well, one will know well the knowledge of the Charvakas." } ] ============================================================

It is said that following this will accumulate habits, etc. It is said that this is the Trikaya. It is also said that the essence is emptiness, the nature is clarity, etc. Rigpa (觉性) is the self-arisen jñana (智慧) that is not produced by causes and conditions. The eight consciousnesses are adventitious, produced by causes and conditions. At all times and in all circumstances, a person who does not violate samaya (誓言) and possesses faith, without being separated from the appearance of the Three Jewels, sometimes visualizes the lama on the crown of the head and prays, thereby receiving the four empowerments. Sometimes, visualizing in the heart center and blending mind and consciousness into one is a crucial point; even with just this key point of blending mind and consciousness, even if one's practice is not a completely pure path, it is impossible not to be liberated even at the time of death. This is the oral transmission of Zhabdrung Rinpoche. In the tradition of Mahamudra Heart Essence and in the context of Dzogchen Tögäl, one must not confuse the appearing dharmas, mind, and the eight consciousnesses. One must recognize the naked rigpa (觉性) of primordial luminosity. Having recognized it in this way, Mahamudra calls it coemergent innate jñana (俱生本觉), and Dzogchen calls it luminous rigpa (光明觉性); the two have the same meaning. In short, from the basis of one's own mindstream, one establishes the causes of samsara and nirvana: attachment to the experience of bliss leads to the first of the six desire realms; the experience of clarity, the form realm; attachment to the experience of non-conceptualization, the formless realm; accumulating dullness, rebirth as rabbits, mice, etc.; and the three poisons of attachment, aversion, and ignorance lead to rebirth in the lower realms. Even virtuous actions, if they are not embraced by bodhicitta (菩提心), not embraced by the actual view, and not embraced by dedication and aspiration, then if the roots of virtue such as generosity are not destroyed by wrong views, not burned by anger, and not destroyed by the four causes of exhausting virtue, then the results of these virtues are: generosity brings enjoyment, discipline brings happy migrations, patience brings a beautiful form, and so on. These are the causes of the samsaric side of samsara. Awakening to the nature of rigpa (觉性), then the husk of attachment to experience, which is the cause of being born in those places, will fall away. Ceasing the illusion and delusion of the three times, thereby doing rigpa (觉性) single pointing or jñana (智慧) naked pointing. Compassion arises for unenlightened beings, renunciation arises from aversion to samsara, bodhicitta (菩提心) seeks the benefit of others, pure vision of the purity of appearances and existence, etc., arise naturally, then it is established as the cause of pure nirvana.
