If (the practice) is not completed, it is easy to fall into confusion. Because there is no blessing, it is not like individually stopping each sentient being, but like stopping without discrimination. If it is as warm and comfortable as the sun, then expand with emptiness. The emptiness without conceptual thought is like the emptiness after a mouse's neck tumor has disappeared. With this emptiness, one cannot reach the bhumis and paths. When encountering conditions, it disappears. If one cannot overcome conditions, it is like throwing a needle onto a stone, or like an otter sinking to the bottom of the water. This is said to be the continuation of conceptual thought. If one has full confidence in the view of luminosity and emptiness, then at the time of death, what is called birth and death is just the manifestation of the form body, and all the phenomena of appearance and existence, together with the knower, are perfected in their own power on the primordial ground. This is called death. On the primordial ground, without wavering, in an instant, from it arises the form that demonstrates the three kayas, which is called birth. Therefore, the conceptual thoughts of birth and death vanish like a rainbow. Regarding the three, view, meditation, and action, the view is as stable as the king of mountains. Therefore, the view of the union of luminosity and emptiness is directly given to one's own nature. Realizing one's own nature is called view. The view is free from change, like the king of mountains, the unmoving king of mountains. Meditation is as stable as the ocean. The so-called self-abiding contemplation is originally the way of abiding, like water and moisture, fire and heat. Therefore, in this state, cut through with one stroke. For example, the boundless ocean, in the waveless sea, all the stars appear clearly, without mixing with each other. In the self-abiding contemplation, all the self-manifesting conceptual thoughts dissolve into the dharmadhatu, therefore it is like being without waves. Although all the conceptual thoughts dissolve into the dharmadhatu, the radiance of wisdom does not cease. Therefore, appearance and all phenomena appear clearly, like stars appearing in the ocean, appearing in a non-conceptual way. Therefore, meditation is as stable as the ocean. In its realm, self-manifesting conceptual thoughts, together with wind and mind, sink into the dharmadhatu, therefore abiding in the state of the three kayas. Even if it arises, it is the nature of arising, abiding, and liberation. Master Garab Dorje said: At the time of arising, arising simultaneously, there is no good or bad. When abiding... When liberating... As it is said, in the state of meditation, the wind of wisdom

When various thoughts arise and manifest, they also manifest simultaneously, so they manifest without departing from that state, without good or bad. Since the flow of manifestation is not interrupted, no matter how long the duration of manifestation lasts, it remains without departing from the state of meditation, so co-abiding has no good or bad. At the time of liberation, one is also liberated in that very state of original meditation, without good or bad, so in equipoise, view, meditation, and action are integrated into one. The nature of arising, abiding, and liberation is excellent conduct. For example, when a bubble arises from the state of the ocean, it arises without departing from that state. The duration of the bubble's arising, the aspect of abiding, also abides like not departing from the state of the ocean. The bubble also eventually dissolves back into the ocean. Like that, in the state of equipoise view, if summarized concisely, it is that the essence does not obstruct manifestation, first; when manifestation arises, it is also free from benefit and harm to the essence, second. The expanse does not abandon manifestation, and manifestation does not abandon the expanse, this is the most important point. The way to take action onto the path is like striking water with a sword, it is based on the confidence of liberation. Therefore, action does not need to be abandoned, but the shortcomings of meditation are supplemented by view. It is like saying that the shortcomings of action are supplemented by meditation. Drukpa Rinpoche said: View must be able to overcome distraction, meditation must be able to overcome dullness, and action must be able to overcome obstacles. If one does not know how to maintain the confidence of liberation with action, for example, even if the king is good, if the ministers and army are bad, one cannot defeat the enemy. Similarly, even if view and meditation are flawed, if they are not mixed with the obstacles of action, there is no chance of liberation. Even if the king does not leave the throne, if the ministers and army are good, they can defeat and conquer the enemies from all directions. It is like placing discomfort in comfort. There are two times: when awareness abides in the ground, and when awareness arises from the ground. During the time of taking action onto the path, awareness arises without moving from the ground, and without losing the confidence of view and the state of meditation, the six consciousnesses are taken onto the path. At that time, objects and obstacles arise as helpers. Awareness can overcome obstacles. Afflictions arise as wisdom. Wisdom greatly increases. It possesses the key to liberation. Dharmata expands in the state. Illusory appearances are exhausted in the expanse. Like that, if one does not have the ability to take action onto the path, for example, if the yak's halter is broken, the load will fall off, and the head will be crushed.
