It is to enter (practice) with the aim of obtaining such merits. As it is said: If one views emptiness incorrectly, those with little wisdom will be destroyed. And so on. It is said that continuously maintaining the radiance of the state of equanimity and emptiness is called the discriminating awareness that has completed wisdom. The method of maintaining subsequent appearances through practice is: without losing the grasp of the view and the state of meditation, mixing the consciousness of the five senses with the objects, the objects are unreal, the appearance of form is like the moon in water, the sound is empty like an echo in a valley, and the memory is empty like the appearance of bird tracks without traces, which must be used as the path. In this way, if you maintain the state of subsequent wisdom and take it as the path, the appearance will become less and less, and then you need to realize the wisdom gained after that. In the Sutra path, the first bhumi, Joyful Land, is the object of realization of seeing the truth of the nature of reality, which is the Dharmadhatu, and the subject of realization is the wisdom of self-awareness. In the Mantra path, there is the example of luminosity in the path of joining, and the actual luminosity in the path of seeing, so the object and subject of realization of seeing the truth of the nature of reality in the Sutra, and the Mantra realizes the actual luminosity in equanimity, so the object of realization of these two, the Dharmadhatu, has no difference. The subject of realization, the wisdom of self-awareness, has no difference (whether it exists or not, needs to be considered) it is said. The path has fast and slow speeds. In the Sutra path, it takes three countless kalpas and seven countless kalpas, thirty-three countless kalpas. Divide the foundation into three levels, high, medium, and low, and then become a Buddha. As it is said: As long as the two excellent accumulations are not complete, then the excellent emptiness will not be realized. And so on. In the Mantra path, for example, the mantra holders, the fruits of mantra and samadhi that are planted now, ripen now, just like on the tongue of Mipham Nampar Gyalwa (མི་ཕམ་རྣམ་པར་རྒྱལ་བ།), the shell of the bean cracks open, facing directly towards the stamen of the flower, so in one lifetime, the state of Vajradhara is achieved. The Sutra path is like a farmer planting seeds and ripening in autumn. In short, all phenomena of appearance and existence appear while being empty. While appearing, it is the nature of emptiness, the union of appearance and emptiness, appearance transcends the extreme of annihilation, emptiness transcends the extreme of permanence, the union transcends the extremes of both existence and non-existence, and the inexpressible transcends the extremes of one and many.

It has passed. One must know how to establish the law that depends on that appearance. As long as the clinging to appearance has not ended, one must remain in the union of appearance and emptiness or the union of the two truths. The emptiness with four special characteristics is: Form is emptiness. Emptiness is form. Form is not different from emptiness, etc. It is like that. Mipham Rinpoche said: In short, affirmation and negation are included in the four: neither existent nor non-existent, and neither both nor neither. At the time of death, when the stages of dissolution are complete, the primordial luminosity of the ground will arise. Remain in that state as long as it lasts. That is because the wisdom and qualities of becoming a Buddha are not complete, and the delusion of being a sentient being has not arisen. If we divide the nature in which both can arise into four possibilities: Never deluded, never liberated, is Samantabhadra. Without doing even a hair's breadth of good deeds, although there is no prior cause, the self-born, primordial state is a nature beyond bondage and liberation, liberated by awareness. It is said to be spontaneously perfect. Never having experienced both delusion and liberation is the ground luminosity. Having experienced both delusion and liberation is a person who has completed the path of yoga. Having experienced delusion but not liberation is an infinite sentient being. In the bardo of dharmata, like a scattering beehive, when the seal of the youthful vase body is broken, the following will appear: Above, the pure realm of the dharmakaya appears like a clear sky. Below that, the realm of the sambhogakaya appears with ornaments and arrangements. Below that, the realm of the mixed nirmanakaya and sambhogakaya and the palace appear. Below that, the six Buddhas who tame the six realms appear. Below that, sentient beings of the six realms of existence appear. Although it appears like that, it is said to be like the appearance of a dream. At that time, although it appears as if giving help and guidance, it is also like the appearance of a dream. At that time, know that it is self-appearance. Determine that self-appearance has no self-nature. When the knower is purified in the primordial realm, all external appearances that arise are purified on the ground, like reflections in crystal light. The view of the union of clarity and emptiness in the Secret Mantra tradition is: The essence is primordially empty, free from elaboration, thus eliminating the extreme of permanence; the radiance of wisdom is unceasing, thus eliminating the extreme of annihilation; because it is the nature of the union of clarity and emptiness, it eliminates the extreme of clinging to existence and non-existence as different; because it transcends the object of expression.
