Seventeen lineages of scriptures, and their profound and extensive commentaries, the Nyingthig Yabzhi, the Seven Treasures. In particular, for the passing of the vidyadhara Garab Dorje, the view of Trekchö is taught by striking the three words as essential points. And, the six meditation experiences of Jampal Shenyen, and the way to practice Tögal in the seven nails of Shri Singha. In the four ways of settling of Jnanasutra, the ways of settling both Trekchö and Tögal are taught, so it is said that guidance is needed through the door of having such instructions. It is said that a foolish meditator and a logician cannot do it. These are just rough ways of proceeding on the general path of Dzogchen. Now, to demolish the preliminary of Trekchö, the "house of mind." The so-called "house of mind," although there are many sayings, must be understood as including delusion and deluded appearances. It is said that this deluded appearance is fabricated by the mind or arises from it, and is built by the mind, so it is called the "house of mind." To investigate this, to find faults, to examine the three origins and destinations. The three great guides are explained in all the Dzogchen scriptures, and the first of these, the investigation, refers to the instruction like identifying a thief, identifying the root of the three realms of samsara. According to the sutra perspective, the Nyingma school of secret mantra considers the root of samsara to be the self-grasping of the person. The Hinayana Arhats also only realize the selflessness of the person, so they think they are liberated from samsara. Later Tibetans, however, consider the root of samsara to be the self-grasping of phenomena, which is the view of the Madhyamaka Prasangika, which is different. Furthermore, the Hinayana treatises the Great Commentary of the Abhidharma, and the five teachings of Maitreya by Gyaltsap Jampa, and the sutras also say that the realization of selflessness by the Shravakas is like the sky inside a mustard seed eaten by worms. In particular, the Mahayoga scripture Guhyagarbha Tantra, the Anuyoga scripture Seven Mother Tantras, the Dzogchen instruction scripture Rangshar, etc., say that what the Shravakas realize is the selflessness of the person, what our own school realizes is one and a half selflessnesses, and what the Mahayana realizes is two selflessnesses. Because there are many sutra and tantra quotations and logical proofs, according to the sutra perspective, the self-grasping of the person is considered the root of samsara. Or dependent origination.
