Because it is true, it is true. The latter is the state of all phenomena, therefore it is true in the face of the wisdom of the transcendent ones free from elaboration, so it is true. Thus, the object to be determined is the two truths, and there are two valid cognitions that possess the object. That is, in the Determination of Meaning, it says: In the conventional, there is also abiding appearance, because there are inconsistent appearances. Relying on the impure vision of this shore and the pure vision, all conventional valid cognitions are two, like the eyes of humans and gods. And, in the ultimate, there are also two ways, with and without names. The valid cognition that judges the ultimate, that also becomes two. Relying on the former, one enters the latter, just as the way eye defects are purified. The eye of valid cognition is purified, seeing the meaning that is pure and equal. Thus it is said. The glorious Chandrakirti said: Because ignorance obscures its own nature, it is conventional. Whatever is transformed by it without error, that is the conventional truth, thus spoke the capable one. According to the view of the ultimate truth, the prince Shantideva said: The ultimate is not the object of the mind. Meditating on the two, appearance and emptiness, in an alternating manner, is only the gateway to realizing union. For example, when a tree is rubbed by the wind, fire arises and burns itself. That is also when the power of wisdom arises, it burns the individual distinctions. Thus it is said. In the case of grasping separately, when one of the two valid cognitions is grasped, the other is abandoned. Apart from that, they cannot be grasped simultaneously. Therefore, one appears and the other does not appear, one is seen and the other is not seen. Those two are either conceptual thought and non-conceptual thought, or either the extreme of existence or the extreme of non-existence. The glorious Chandrakirti, in the Clear Words, like a vessel desiring water, first explained the way to establish the conventional truth. Therefore, it is necessary to rely on the conventional truth, the method or the appearing phenomena, in order to establish the ultimate. In our own system, the conventional truth is: the six unimpaired senses that possess an object, the object does not deceive from its own side, it is able to function, it is produced by the nature of causes and conditions, it is the nature of aggregates. Later generations said: The object does not exist from its own side. The conventional truth, which is merely a name established by conceptual thought, is a conventional valid cognition.

It is said. Because the difference between right and wrong is not distinguished, Mipham Rinpoche said that if the measure established by conceptual mind must be conventional truth, then the views of permanence and annihilation held by outsiders as a measure would also become conventional truth for you, and so on. In short, all phenomena of appearance, from form to omniscience, there is not a single dharma that is not empty in its own essence. Form aggregates are the union of appearance and emptiness, and all minds and mental factors must generate the definite understanding of the union of appearance and emptiness. Furthermore, if these two truths are one in conventional truth and different in ultimate truth, then they will be harmed by four faults, as stated in the "Distinguishing the Definitive and Indefinitive Teachings." If they are different in ultimate truth, then the two truths will become non-dharmas and dharma-nature, and the characteristics of the object of focus will not be suppressed by the realization of ultimate emptiness, and merely the non-establishment of conventional truth will become non-ultimate truth, and defilement and purification will simultaneously appear in the continuum of one person. If they are one in conventional truth, then when conventional truth is seen, ultimate truth will also be seen, and just as there is no difference in ultimate truth, there will be no difference in conventional truth, and just as afflictions increase by relying on conventional truth, afflictions will also increase by relying on ultimate truth, and just as seeing and hearing conventional truth does not require searching elsewhere, ultimate truth also does not need to be sought. Knowing that appearances are mind, one can gain firm confidence in entering samsara. Therefore, establishing all dharmas on one's own mind-nature is the supreme characteristic of Buddhists, the reality of the appearance of things, the key point of practice, like cutting off the wheel of samsara, like a carpenter being proficient in the key points of wood. If grasped with special methods, then ultimately in the Vajrayana, this is the essence of the pith instructions. Therefore, recognizing that all appearances are self-appearances, whether in Sutra or Tantra, anyone who seeks the meaning of the path should have deep faith in this, and nothing is more important than this. First, to demolish the house of the mind, there are three methods: investigating the root, searching for loopholes, and examining the place of origin and destination. Investigating the root can determine the root of samsara, searching for loopholes.
