The two, the possessor of phenomena and its nature, the wisdom of the nature of reality, should not be asserted as either one or different. As the commentary says, "The realm of formations and the nature of ultimate reality are the nature of being free from one and different. Those who conceive of them as one or different are engaged in improper views." Longchen Rabjam also said the same. Therefore, the two are not one in terms of convention, because merely realizing the mind does not realize the wisdom of the nature of the mind, and because of being the possessor of phenomena and the nature of reality, etc. They are not different in terms of ultimate reality, because the nature of the mind is wisdom. When wisdom is realized, the mind is not seen as different from it, and when wisdom is realized, the mind appears as self-liberated, etc. Furthermore, the path of skillful means with mantras and signs is superior to the Sutra path, because they are the path of seeking the wisdom of meaning through the door of exemplary wisdom. The Great Perfection path, in which the wisdom of meaning that it represents directly appears, is certainly a swift path. By familiarizing oneself with it, whatever appears arises as the play of the three kayas, and one can attain Buddhahood in this life. Therefore, the intention of the Dharmakaya, primordial purity, is directly seen through Trekchö, and the intention of the Rupakaya, spontaneous accomplishment, is directly seen through Tögal. Such a vehicle of directly realizing enlightenment does not exist in the Sutra path. Therefore, the path of gradually approaching the vision of the truth of the nature of reality by establishing emptiness through inferential reasoning and practicing in conjunction with vast accumulations exists in the Sutra path, but it does not teach the means of generating direct faith from the ground of the first practitioner. In this way, the situation of the two kayas, Dharma and Rupa, can be found to have faith even from the ground of the first practitioner. By meditating in this way, the wisdom of meaning is quickly drawn forth. Such exemplary wisdom, like the reflection of the moon in water, can represent the wisdom of meaning, and is therefore superior to the Sutra path. When the image of the sun and moon appears in water, all the aspects that the sun and moon actually possess appear. When the wisdom of meaning, like the moon, is directly seen, it is seen by the wisdom of meaning. However, just as the new moon is the real moon, but still appears to grow larger until the fifteenth, in the path of meditation, the wisdom of meaning

Wisdom and realization increase more and more, and ultimately, like seeing the full moon on the fifteenth, realization is completely perfected, and the state of Buddhahood is attained. Rong and Long both consider the eleventh bhumi of the sutra path, the Buddha-bhumi, and distinguish the stainless lotus and the wheel of letters as antidotes to the Great Perfection's three kayas. Now, while all the objects of the eight consciousnesses have not ceased, being able to recognize the primordial luminosity is a characteristic of the Great Perfection path. Although other unsurpassable paths also require the luminosity of the three appearances to be cultivated more and more clearly in order to recognize it, that is the path of effort. This is the key instruction for finding it effortlessly and naturally, which must be distinguished. When awareness itself is free from conceptual thought and appears nakedly, it is no different from the ultimate luminosity of appearance. Although it is said that luminosity appears at the time of appearance for yogis, luminosity does not cease even for ordinary people during deep sleep, etc., even if they are not yogis. Yogis have luminosity at the time of recognition, but it is not that others do not have the ground luminosity at that time. Although these two are expressed differently, the meaning is such that everyone must acknowledge it. Then, since there is no knowing mind at that time, it might be thought that even with the power of the path, yogis cannot recognize it, but that is not the case. Whether it is the path of sutra or tantra, after gaining certainty that the two truths are inseparable, the dharmata of the ground, through the power of experience arising from meditation, by the power of removing the obscurations of delusion on the ground, it is possible to recognize it at that time through the radiance of wisdom. According to the path of liberation of tantra, when the mind consciousness experiences the dharmata of one's own mind as emptiness-luminosity union at the time when the eight consciousnesses have not ceased, one can realize that the mind itself is emptiness-luminosity, beyond conceptual thought. By gradually familiarizing oneself with this, even if one does not specifically meditate on mind-isolation, etc., one will recognize the luminosity of deep sleep and death. At the time of realizing the dharmata of emptiness-luminosity, all the eight or six consciousnesses, represented by conceptual and non-conceptual minds, appear as the nature of mere wisdom, and one does not perceive consciousnesses different from wisdom, because there is no other mind apart from the dharmata of all minds. Furthermore, from the perspective of an electric lamp, the difference between Mahamudra and Dzogchen, Mahamudra is looking.
