Forgetfulness occurs often. When distracted, it is a common mistake. Whatever afflictions arise are ordinary. At this time, it seems very important to, Clearly remind yourself with mindfulness again and again. There is no difference between distraction and non-distraction. There is no difference between remembering and not remembering. There is no difference between mistake and non-mistake. Thinking that everything abides in emptiness, Understanding arises, occasionally arises. If you are too confident and relaxed about this, There is a danger of falling into ordinariness. Understanding and realization are very important. Now, the reminder of mindfulness is, Do not forget, it is necessary again and again. Why is that? Because the five poisons', Thoughts are not suppressed, bad words, etc., Doubt, excuses, slips of the tongue, etc., Arising is definitely the fault of distraction. Therefore, it is necessary to remember again and again. Thus it is said. Orgyen Rinpoche said: "Short and numerous like drips in an empty house, Do not be distracted, do not meditate, relax and abide blankly." Thus it is said. This time, continuing the discussion, there is the innate reality. Thus it is said. With faith, single-pointedly meditate on the Guru Yoga, May the siddhis of the self-mind's expression manifest, Arising from the blessings of the Guru of self-awareness's meaning, All of samsara and nirvana, without exception, are emanations of the Guru! First, hold onto the outer, with supplication and devotion, In the middle, blend with the mind, connecting the Guru's body, speech, and mind, Finally, dissolve into indivisible oneness, awakening as a Buddha, May the aspiration to benefit beings continuously be fulfilled! Thus, relying on the Guru practice with supplication and devotion, taking the dust of the feet of Drukpa Rinpoche on the crown of the head, written by Chöying Rangdröl, may it be virtuous! Sarva Mangalam (Sanskrit: Sarva Mangalam, All auspiciousness!). The way to practice the sacred Dharma of the gods, complete with the three: preliminary, main, and concluding practices. Homage to the Guru! It is very important to correct the motivation at the beginning of whatever Dharma is practiced. First, examine your own mind, dividing it into three: the unspecified motivation, the non-virtuous motivation, and the virtuous motivation. First, the unspecified motivation is, for example, when gathering in a Dharma assembly, without any thought, neither being controlled by virtuous thoughts such as faith, nor being swayed by non-virtuous thoughts such as attachment, like a rogue imitating others, like a dog following a person, like a child playing with flowers, like shooting empty arrows, and without any preliminary, main, or concluding practices, just abiding casually, like an old man pretending.

Correct those who are like old Chinese men who pretend to be enlightened (ངལ་བསོས་པ་). Paltrul Rinpoche (དཔལ་སྤྲུལ་རིན་པོ་ཆེའི་) said: Virtuous deeds without prophecy have no result, and even the seed of liberation cannot be sown. Lama Lungtok (བླ་མ་ལུང་རྟོགས་) said: If one emphasizes the person, it is so, but if one emphasizes the Dharma, then the blessing of the Dharma can sow the seed of liberation. Secondly, non-virtuous motivation: Attachment to relatives, hatred to enemies, ignorance to neutrals, in short, motivation mixed with the three poisons, and the desire to achieve this life, hoping to pacify enemies, demons, diseases, etc., clinging to fear and the eight worldly concerns, and the motivation of wishing others to gain profit, praise, fame, wealth, village offerings, etc., because they are rooted in the three poisons, must be abandoned. As it is said: If you are attached to this life, you are not a Dharma practitioner. Thirdly, even virtuous motivation is divided into: motivation to achieve one's own benefit and motivation to achieve the benefit of others. The first is: the motivation of a lower being who wants to be liberated from the three lower realms and attain higher realms. As it is said: If you are attached to samsara, you have no renunciation. Resolving to be liberated from samsara and striving to achieve one's own fruit, this is the motivation of a middling being, a Shravaka or Pratyekabuddha. As it is said: If you are attached to self-interest, you are not a Bodhisattva. Therefore, these motivations should be abandoned. Secondly, the motivation of a great being to achieve the benefit of others: For the benefit of all sentient beings as infinite as space, I must attain the state of complete and perfect enlightenment. Therefore, the field of accumulation of refuge or Guru Yoga, for beginners, even if they cannot clearly visualize the appearance of the face, hands, symbols, etc., is acceptable at this stage of faith and practice. Guru Rinpoche (གུ་རུ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་) himself said: Regardless of whether others' karma is good or bad, whether the body is male or female, whether the caste is high or low, whether the age is old or young, whoever remembers me, enters this door with faith and devotion. As it is said: For those with faith, the door of Padmasambhava is always open. Therefore, think that on the crown of your head dwells the essence of the assembly of all refuges, Orgyen Vajradhara (ཨོ་རྒྱན་རྡོ་རྗེ་འཆང་), the accumulation of wisdom, and generate single-minded faith and devotion. This faith is because you are certain that the three realms of samsara are an ocean of suffering, and in order to be liberated from it, you and your parents, relatives, mountain gods, tree gods, Brahma and Vishnu
