All the guides who have come to show the path are also manifestations of the body, shown in accordance with the way of taming beings to be tamed at different times, but their essence is inseparable. For example, the essence of the moon is the same, but it appears again and again in many different sizes due to the power of the phases. In the realm of the wisdom of union, the lord of the family who pervades the inconceivable mandala of the deity to be pervaded is also the lama. From the ground, their nature is inseparable. Even when the yogi on the path practices generation and completion stages, it is necessary to know that all the wheels of the deity mandala are manifestations of the lama. The wisdom of Dharma-nature, free from elaboration, is the inner essence, the sky of meaning. To manifest the Dharma-nature of that essence through the power of realization is the meaning of going to the sky of Dharma-nature. Therefore, the nature of the three roots, inseparable, is also the lama. Thus it is said. Homage! Our teacher also, for the sake of four lines of Dharma, etc. In the past, the Blessed One in this Jambudvipa was a king named Kaniskani Pali. At that time, when a Brahmin named Leu Dutsi wanted to listen to the Dharma, the Brahmin said, "If you want to obtain the Dharma, O King, if you can offer a thousand lamps on your body, I will teach you." The king was delighted and filled his body with a thousand lamps filled with the essence of butter and oil. Then the king said to the Brahmin, "Please teach me the Dharma." The Brahmin said, "All that is permanent will perish. The high will eventually fall. If there is gathering, there will be separation. If there is birth, there will be death." The king was delighted to hear this. Later, when he attained enlightenment, he immediately vowed, "May the light of wisdom illuminate all those whose minds are obscured by ignorance." As soon as he spoke, the world trembled greatly, and a rain of flowers fell. Indra praised him. After the king spoke the words of truth, his body was restored to its former state. Again, in the past, the Blessed One was born as a Brahmin boy named Chodod. A Brahmin became jealous of him and said, "If you can jump into the pit of fire, I will proclaim the excellent teaching."

Hearing this, he was delighted and prepared the fire pit, then requested the Brahmin to proclaim the Dharma. That Brahmin said: Always rejoice in generosity. Always practice the complete precepts. Strive to cultivate the supreme state of diligence. Obtain the supreme and sacred Dharma through wisdom. Having taken these words to heart, he jumped into the fire pit, and the fire went out. He sat on a lotus that had turned into a lotus pond and taught the Dharma with four qualities of pure conduct. This noble path is unmixed with other heretics, etc., and by abandoning all the afflictions of the three realms, it is complete abandonment. That path is completely pure because it is of the nature of stainlessness. It is completely purified by removing sudden defilements and making the mind of stainless nature. That is, Brahma is Nirvana, and the path to attain it is called pure conduct, so it is considered to have four qualities of pure conduct. Note: That Brahmin, with fire burning all over his body, was about to fall into the great hell of suffering beings. Desiring the Dharma, he said: Teacher, do not be discouraged! I will protect you. Having said this, he freed that Brahmin from hell. In the past, in this Jambudvipa, the son of the king called Brahma God, the crown prince named Damagama, was born as the Bhagavan himself. He searched everywhere for the sacred Dharma but could not find it, and he was frustrated. Indra, the lord of the gods, transformed into a Brahmin and stood at the gate of the king's palace, saying, "There is Dharma!" Hearing this, he promised to give whatever he wanted in exchange for teaching the Dharma. The Brahmin said, "If you dig a fire pit ten cubits deep, fill it with burning flames, and jump into it to make an offering, I will teach the Dharma." He agreed to this and made a great fire pit. Then the prince stood at the edge of the fire pit and said to the Brahmin: Great teacher, please first teach me the sacred Dharma! If I die, I will not hear the Dharma. After praying in this way, that Brahmin spoke this verse: One should cultivate a loving heart. Abandon thoughts of hatred and anger. Protect sentient beings with great compassion. With loving-kindness, wipe away the tears of all. One should cultivate great joy. And also enable others to have the Dharma that is in accordance with me.
